Stopped in a lot of hotels over the years in Turkey this is without doubt the worst we have ever stayed in This hotel completely does not cater for British people it only caters for Germans When we arrived, we were paid for two room rooms for her to ourselves and my two teenage children. We had to have one family room allocated until the next morning. The next day we changed rooms which smelled like damp so we had to change it again. Finally, we got a couple of rooms that were suitable by around noon the first day. The drinks that we do not drink alcohol, so we cannot come in on this, but the soft drinks were horrendous You couldn’t get a bottle of water you had to have a filtered water from a tap On the gala night, the food was eatable Every other night without question, the food was uneditable Quite possibly the worst food I’ve ever witnessed I would highly recommend do not book this hotel Breakfast, you could have a omelette And lunch forget it At the pool, the food was not even worth commenting on and down on the beach is the only place where you could get anything reasonable to eat They only serve ice cream from two till four every day The standard of the hotel and cleanliness are by far the worst I’ve seen in Turkey for a long time The hotel is very dated worn out and absolutely by with no means a five star I will repeat it again THERE IS NOWHERE THAT YOU CAN WALK OUT OF THE HOTEL. Came back from this hotel on 21..10.2025. I will not return to this hotel definitely. Some details make you feel bad. Such as cleaning, food, not praising sun loungers even on the beach. Italian al carte restaurant food just terrible.
Unfortunately, this hotel does not live up to its 5-star rating. Yes, the trip was already paid for, so there was nothing to do but try to enjoy it — however, the overall impression was quite disappointing. The only truly positive aspect was the staff. When I faced some issues, Aziza from Guest Relations was incredibly helpful — it’s clear she’s an experienced professional, and her excellent English made communication so much easier. I would also like to mention the Asian girl at reception — always polite, patient, and ready to assist. It’s a real loss for the hotel that, as I understood, they won’t be here next season. As for the reception manager, unfortunately, there’s no other way to put it — she was rude. Absolutely no sense of hospitality or respect toward guests. The food was another disappointment — limited options, often just lukewarm rather than hot. The hotel itself feels old and in need of renovation. I also witnessed a very unpleasant scene where the restaurant manager was yelling at Asian staff members. It was uncomfortable to watch. In today’s world, there should be mutual respect regardless of position or nationality. On the beach, the animation team was great — energetic and engaging. But the kids’ club was a total disaster. What’s advertised online has nothing to do with reality. To those who truly tried to make my stay better — thank you. My vacation was better because of you, and none of my complaints are directed at you personally. However, as for the hotel itself, I simply can’t leave a positive review. Overall, we did our best to make this holiday enjoyable, but it’s definitely the first and last time I’ll be choosing this hotel.
My husband and i returned from this hotel on Friday following a weeks stay. I think many of the negative reviews on here and uncalled for so dont be put off. BEACH- a short 5 minute walk.you can also jump on the cart that takes you down there. Loads of sunbeds. Sandy beach FOOD- in the daytime i suggest eating down near the beach area.there are 2 options. The waiter served area where you order off a menu, or the freshly made kebabs which were lovely. Ice cream there is also nice. Food is also served near the swimming pools but we found that very disappointing. Evening food can get a bit boring. It was ok for us for the week. They have a kebab/meat area on the patio plus fresh pasta. Loads of salad options. I just feel the food lacked a bit on flavour. A bit of seasoning, spice, garlic would have made a difference! Breakfast was simple and basic- very much based around european style breakfast. We had no issues getting tables and all looked very clean SWIMMING POOL- the pool was freezing. I would imagine in peak season its lovely.very clean though. SPA/SAUNA- a nice added touch. All free to use. ENTERTAINMEMT- evening event was at 9.30pm near beach area.the team did their best to put on a show.i cant comment on kids clubs. The kids all lookes happy though. I did zumba on the beach which was good and happens daily. STAFF- everyone was friendly ROOM- basic but fine. Well stocked fridge.powerful shower. Beds are hard but worked for us. DAY TRIPS- we only did one. Booked through the hotel. Cost £40 each. Collected us by bus at 09.30. We went to the nearby river onto a big pirate ship. We could swim in the sea etc. Was really nice. Had a basic lunch on board. One of the stopoffs is a beach where we stayed for one hour. We did jet skis there for only 30€ (much cheaper than anywhere else). The bus then took us to see a waterfall and then dropped us to the local market for 2 hours. You can buy all the fake designers stuff there. Make sure you bring cash. The bus then dropped us back to the hotel. This was great value for money as we were out for a full day. HOTEL it is a lovely hotel. The main reception looks really grand. Lots of places to have a drink, cakes etc. Overall i would stay this is a good hotel 4*. I can imagine in peak season it is extremely busy.
J’Adore Deluxe was not our original option when booking our holiday. The hotel we had wanted was closing early for “maintenance” which was hard to believe and On The Beach offered us 2 options that were similar to what we had selected. Tbh it felt like trying to pick the best out of the bad bunch. Images looked ok, we read the reviews and knew it would be risky & a shame we took that risk; was a hard stay for a week. We really tried to enjoy ourselves but things kept letting us down so was very much looking forward to going back home. We checked in & was given some basic information about our stay but no mention about the A La Carte we could have chosen to eat in. Glad we didn’t get the option as all guests reviews on them have been a bad experience. Upon checking in we were greeted by a friendly staff member who apparently upgraded us to a Family Suite. Considering it was just 2 of us; we didn’t need an extra bedroom, seemed to be a waste as I’m sure actual families would make use of the space. He showed us to our room and gave us a room tour. Do not be fooled by the “Deluxe Double Room” statue. These rooms are standard and your balcony view faces directly into next doors hotel. Could see people in their room if curtains were open so zero privacy and you’d never get sunlight coming that side (all rooms with an odd number face that side). The room itself seemed clean but surfaces were sticky, dusty & the bathroom had a broken sink and grotty tiles. The next morning we spoke with reception about changing our room. The hotel manager was great to accommodate this for us but of course for a fee; an extra £100 to what we had already paid for our holiday. The new room was much more spacious, we were facing the front of the hotel and had the sea & land view. The room was wider than most others so this was pleasant. All rooms provide a minibar with soft drinks, a very basic tea & coffee station and plastic seating on the balconies. The soap dispenser seemed watered down. You can press an electric pad for Do Not Disturb or if you’d like your room serviced. I found this a nice touch. There’s also a doorbell for each room. The beds however were somehow firm and soft at the same time. Pillows were small and square & the duvet cover given didn’t fit the width of the bed so we ended up asking for 2 covers so we wasn’t fighting for them in the night. Our lady who came to service our room was so lovely. She did a great job everyday & even treated us to towel decorations on the bed most days & delivered a fruit & wine hamper to our room. The Lobby area does look lovely with a massive crystal chandelier being a vocal point, all staff at reception had been great the entire week. The hotel also has a patisserie that serves coffees and sweet treats. I found all the cakes tasted the same which was a shame. Coffee wasn’t so bad but from a machine they just click a button; not what I’d expect for 5*. The bar area is at the back with seats/ sofas and 1 small tv area. Was ok but nothing amazing. Drinks at this bar were all served in glass cups as everywhere else it’s served in plastic. The main buffet area I found to be hit and miss. Visiting Turkey I was half expecting some local cuisines but they barely made anything traditional. Meals were not labelled very well with contents so for us vegetarians we were mislead to believe we had picked something veggie friendly to then find it was packed with meat inside. There were no allergy labels to any of the dishes which I found to be dangerous for those with severe allergies. You’d ask the chef’s what was inside the dishes and they couldn’t even confirm properly. The hot meals were always stone cold, most things cooked in heavy oil which made a lot of people sick (almost everyday when using the public restrooms there would be 1 toilet full of vomit) They tried a couple of themed nights but found it just flopped and tasted bland. All the deserts tasted the same even though they were all colourful. Breakfast was sometimes the only safest meal of the day on choices but the lunches & dinners were a constant miss. Found it catered and presented for an Eastern European audience as most guests were from there. Was gutted to be going to Turkey and not have anything authentic. The pool area was ok - found the beds were much crammed together. The pool bar served ok drinks, all in plastic cups which probably made sense being around the pool area. There’s a small buffet for lunch at the back. Slides for the kids and a small kids pool which is undercover. The roof of that area looked like they were under maintenance at the time and just made that whole area look dark. They barely played music, you’d hear music and entertainment from the neighbouring hotel. Occasionally they’d do some activity in the pool but it wasn’t everyday. Any food or drinks they try to offer you in trays you had to pay for so be-careful not to think it’s an extra free treat. The time we went, by 4pm the entire pool and lounging area would be in shade. The hotel does have a beach, lunch is served there too. They’re also a gozleme station & a Chicken Kebab wrap station. This was the closest you could get to authentic cuisine. The bed area is covered but the sun will come to you at some points of the day. To get to the beach you have to cross a main road and walk 5mins. A buggy service is available if you don’t want to walk. The sea itself is deep after 3 steps into it so you can’t swim far & was constantly wavy so can be dangerous for kids and adults who aren’t good swimmers. The hotel has a spa which we didn’t use due to being so overpriced: a basic massage started from €100. There’s a hair salon & some shops. The hotel is quite away from Side Old Town. You can get the Number 11 bus for €1.50 that will take you into town. To get back to the hotel you’ll need the Number 10. There are no local shops to walk to if you wanted to buy stuff so you are secluded. The evening entertainment would start at 9:30 which was over by the beach area. This would last into an hour and then there would be a disco after. These were ok, the animation staff were all great but can tell they were working on a budget for things. The tech was glitchy, the music system sometimes crackly but they had talent. There’s a car rental place there but you don’t get given a choice of car you’d like. We hired one for a day which cost €65 with insurance and we were given a car that had 300,000 mileage and a Check Engine light flashing. It sometimes wouldn’t start properly and tbh felt like we were risking our lives driving it so we handed it back early so I’d say if you want to rent a car, sort that before you arrive with someone else. Just found the quality of everything didn’t meet 5* standards for the price paid. There’s no room service, nothing special about the place and very much wants you to spend more if you want something better. We both became unwell on this trip & one evening had asked Guest Services if they were able to deliver food to our room so my partner could eat. They said they would be happy to, took an order of a sandwich to make but failed to deliver that promise so why bother saying to do it & not follow through. Found that disappointing. For a hotel that’s 9 years old and trying to look traditional it was out dated, run down, looked tacky in some areas and felt so budgeted with the quality given. You could spend the same money going to a different area of Turkey and have a better experience. We won’t be visiting again.
DO NOT DO IT …. YOU HAVE TO GET A BUS OR A TAXI EVERYWHERE. DO NOT DO IT
Came back from this hotel on 21..10.2025. I will not return to this hotel definitely. Some details make you feel bad. Such as cleaning, food, not praising sun loungers even on the beach. Italian al carte restaurant food just terrible.
