Lago Hotel

Our experience at The Lago Hotel was a positive experience over all. The hotel has everything you may possible need within the complex - we stayed here for 10 nights and didn’t need to leave apart from clothes shopping. We upgraded our room on the day of arrival due to wanting a sea view which they were extremely helpful in sorting out for us and let us view the room before we chose to upgrade. Also we had the support from staff of helping us with our luggage which was a lovely touch. The room was very spacious and had everything we might need - the mini fridge was filled up everyday so we always had drinks available. The entertainment team were amazing! They always wanted people to join in and have a good time and the shows we watched were unbelievable. I’ve never seen entertainment like that before! It was a well set out show every night we was there always something different going on. The food we had in the day at the snack bar was lovely and at the à la carte italian restaurant was also tasty but the buffet in a morning and teatime were about average. I would eat more in the day at the snack bars so I didn’t have to eat too much for tea being the food not being the best for me. I couldn’t fault the helpfulness of the staff especially one member in particular the barman at the maldives’s pool Tufan - he is a credit to the team and the hotel. Without him our stay wouldn’t have been as good as it was and I would come back just to see him. He made our experience so positive he helped us if we had any issues and he always had our favourite drinks waiting for us round the pool! All the staff were amazing and answered any issues we had and I couldn’t have asked any more of them! The weather and aesthetic of the hotel was perfect and is a beautiful place to be! We ourselves do not have kids and there was plenty of places to go without kids being present which was good for us too! I would come back to this hotel if the food was improved and also because the hotel is so big it would have been nice to have a tour as we didn’t find many things till the week after due to someone telling us later in our holiday so I think this would be a good idea so you know where everything is and what’s included in your stay! Thank you for your hospitality you should be so proud.

We had an amazing 7-day stay at this hotel and honestly couldn't have asked for more. Before arriving, I was under the impression that the hotel was mainly designed for adults, so I was initially disappointed to learn that the Maldives Pool is reserved for guests aged 16+. I had also read some negative reviews before our trip, but after experiencing the hotel ourselves, I genuinely don't understand where those comments came from. The staff are exceptional. Communication at reception was excellent, with fluent English-speaking staff who were always friendly, professional, and ready to help. Any request or issue was handled immediately. A special thank you to Pinar for the delicious morning coffee every day! The restaurant staff work incredibly hard and are always kind, attentive, and smiling. The food was outstanding throughout our stay, with plenty of variety and excellent quality. The bars and cocktails were also first-class. Housekeeping did a fantastic job. Our towels were changed daily, and the room was always spotless, fresh, and comfortable. The water park area deserves special praise. There were virtually no queues for the slides, which meant more fun and less waiting. The lifeguards were excellent and took safety seriously while remaining friendly and approachable. For families, this hotel is a dream. The children's area is thoughtfully designed, including a large shade sail to protect little ones from the sun and a wonderful "Mini Maldives" area just for kids. It was peaceful and relaxing, and perfect for younger children who needed a nap. The mini club near the slides was fantastic, and the staff there were absolutely lovely. There is also a great indoor play area, as well as an outdoor playground and arena where mini discos and children's shows take place every evening. And once the children are asleep, adults can enjoy the entertainment and shows in the main arena. The animation team deserves recognition too—they were always smiling, energetic, and enthusiastic, creating a fun atmosphere throughout the resort. This hotel truly offers something for everyone. Whether you're travelling as a couple looking for relaxation or as a family with young or older children, you'll find everything you need here. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile.
