Honest review – Unfortunately, nowhere near a 5-star experience. Never again. If you have stayed in a genuine 5-star hotel in Turkey before, you will understand why this hotel fell so far below our expectations. On arrival, we were initially allocated a room referred to as ‘S1’. This wasn’t a conventional room number, and the room itself was in a particularly poor location, directly opposite the changing facilities, with a genuinely horrendous view. Thankfully, after raising a complaint, we were moved to a more standard room. Throughout our stay, the electricity went off almost every day, often multiple times a day. Whilst we appreciate that the weather wasn’t particularly good during our visit and understand that this can sometimes cause issues, the power cuts continued even on the few sunny days we had. We also had difficulties booking the à la carte restaurant, despite this being included in our package. When we tried to book on day two, we were simply told there was no availability. Once again, it took complaining before anything was eventually sorted. To make matters worse, we were actually accused of recording the issues we were experiencing on our phone, which we found extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The food was below average at best, and there was a noticeable lack of staff throughout the hotel. The cocktail selection was practically non-existent, and the drinks themselves were extremely disappointing. At the outdoor bars there were wasps swarming all over the syrups, it was disgusting. Queues for coffee and drinks at the bars became an everyday occurrence. However, the two ladies working the coffee machines on ground floor were a real credit to the hotel. Customer service overall was another major disappointment. Around 80% of the staff we encountered came across as miserable and unwelcoming, with very few smiles or any real effort to make guests feel welcome. A friendly attitude goes a long way in hospitality, and this was noticeably lacking. The entertainment was also extremely poor. For a resort of this size and one claiming to be 5-star, we expected a proper evening entertainment programme with professional shows and something different to enjoy each night. Instead, the entertainment consisted mainly of karaoke and a singer, neither of which were particularly enjoyable. There was very little variety and certainly nothing that you would associate with a quality 5-star resort. The gym was another disappointment. There were children everywhere, running around and using the equipment, which made it difficult to enjoy a proper workout. For a resort that advertises its gym facilities, there should be better supervision and consideration for adults who want to use the space to train. A gym should be a place where guests can exercise safely and without constant disruption. Overall, the hotel seriously lacks the quality, service, entertainment and attention to detail you would expect from a 5-star resort in Turkey. Having experienced other 5-star hotels in the country, we feel this property falls a long way short. We have stayed at the Rixos Premium Belek and Liberty Fabay previously and they are worlds apart. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return and certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting a true 5-star Turkish holiday. I also anticipate the hotel may use the fact that it was the end of the season as an excuse for some of these issues. However, this really shouldn’t be relevant. Guests are still paying for their holidays and should receive the same level of service, facilities, food and entertainment regardless of the time of year. If a hotel is operating and accepting bookings, it should be delivering the standard it advertises. The time of season should not be an excuse for such a disappointing experience.

The experience is good and the food is amazing and the animation team is really good and especially Ali he is the best i had the best time with him.

We are only on our second day at this hotel, and so far we were genuinely happy with everything. Unfortunately, our experience changed after visiting the doctor’s office. We simply asked whether there was a pharmacy at the hotel. The doctor told us that since we had health insurance, everything would be FREE. Later, we received a message saying that we could order the medication, but there would be an additional €5 delivery fee. This charge was never mentioned during our conversation, and we were informed that it would not be included in the insurance invoice. What makes the situation even more disappointing is that the doctor is now engaging in an unnecessarily confrontational conversation with us via WhatsApp instead of professionally addressing our concerns about these unexpected charges. The issue is not just the €5. It is the lack of transparency and the way our concerns are being handled. As tourists, we expect clear information about costs before agreeing to a service, as well as professional and respectful communication when we ask reasonable questions. Unfortunately, this experience has significantly changed our first impression of the hotel. We hope the hotel management will take these concerns seriously.

**Amazing Holiday with Sunset Parties & Great Music! 🌅🎧** I had a wonderful experience at Lago Hotel! The hotel has a beautiful location, stunning pools, and a lovely beach. But what I especially loved was the atmosphere and entertainment! The sunset parties with DJs playing great music are definitely one of the highlights. 🌅🎶 I love that the hotel offers more than just relaxing by the pool — there is always a fun atmosphere, great music, and something to enjoy. It's the perfect place for people who love sunshine, music, and good vibes! The combination of beautiful surroundings, pool and beach life, sunset parties, and DJ sets makes this hotel special. If you're looking for a holiday with both relaxation and entertainment, I would definitely recommend Lago Hotel! I would love to come back again! ❤️🔥
