The hotel was not bad at all, however it also needs an improvement on some of the details. The staff were kind and helpful, the food was decent but not terrible at all. The rooms were pretty nice, but they were not getting cleaned that neatly and oftenly. The events can sometimes affect the noise level, except that, the noise level is much. The atmosphere was calm but some of the pools were dirty and the aqua park was really small. So, I personally was expecting a better vacation.

We arrived full of expectations after seeing the glossy website photos, but Limak Lara fell way short in reality. Our family suite smelled of drains from the moment we walked in. Chewing gum on the balcony. A dirty shower tray. Not the welcome you want after a long flight. The décor and construction feel severely dated. This may have been impressive 30 years ago, but nothing has moved on since. Even the staff uniforms look like a throwback - staff look like they've been plucked out of the 70s. It's genuinely one of the least attractive resorts we've stayed at. Ugly, to be honest. Dinner on the first night set the tone. The buffet restaurant was dreadful. Absolutely rammed, and we struggled to find a table for our family of five. Once eventually seated, no server came to offer drinks - not once throughout the whole meal. For an all-inclusive resort, that's a basic failure. The food itself was a big letdown too. Some Far Eastern-inspired dishes looked promising but were bland and very forgettable. The restaurant has zero ambience. It's very loud, has tightly packed in tables and cramped seating, and franky there is nothing pleasant about the atmosphere at all. The same pattern repeats around the pools and bars. Sunbeds and seating are either crammed uncomfortably close together or areas are completely empty, with nothing in between. It felt disorganised rather than relaxing. Given the gaping chasm between what's advertised and what we experienced, I'm honestly surprised and very disappointed that Jet2 rates this a 5-star resort — it's a 3 at best. I'm marking it down to 2 stars purely for the level of disappointment versus expectation. If you're English and used to the Lara or Belek five-star experience, give this place a miss. Truly a total waste of money. You'd be better staying at home. Terrible.

How anyone can criticise the staff at the Limak Lara I do not know. I took my grandchildren aged 12 and 10, From the very start we were greeted with smiles and kindness. Everyone always said hello. The children were most impressed by the waiters on roller blades around the pool area, loved ordering and having drinks brought to the sun loungers. The buffet restaurant was comfortable and clean, lots of food choice, pastries and desserts the best I have had in Turkey. We especially enjoyed the Thai Al a’Carte . It was a new food experience for the children, food was varied and tasty. Unfortunately we had reason to visit the doctor my granddaughter suffered an ear infection. Treated quickly, we received calls from staff to check she was ok and to ask if there was anything they could do to help. I would certainly return to this hotel. .
