    Foarte bun

**Transfer:** I have never dealt with a worse transfer company. We had already paid for the transfer, but they acted as if we hadn't and tried to squeeze more money out of us. I had to call our travel agent to get the situation sorted out. What a fantastic start to a holiday. The company in question is Fit Holidays. **Room:** Initially, we were checked into a tiny ground-floor box with a hole in the floor instead of a proper shower. Luckily, we were moved to another room with a bathtub — admittedly, without a plug, but hey, at least reception didn't charge us extra for the upgrade :) The room overlooked the car park and the mountains. As it turned out, this was the best location in the entire hotel, as we couldn't hear a thing from the animation team. You really can't put a price on peace and quiet. **Grounds and beach:** The beach is right on the hotel's doorstep, just 200 metres away. The grounds are green and well-maintained, with all sorts of creatures roaming around — from holidaymakers to guinea fowl and rabbits. I genuinely feel sorry for the rabbits. While their parents get drunk at the bar, their little darlings chase the poor animals all over the place. There are several swimming pools and water slides, but the water is so cold that swimming isn't exactly a pleasure. The beach is pebbly, the sun loungers are new, and there's enough space for everyone. The seabed is rocky, so bring water shoes unless you fancy giving your feet a hard time. There's also a pier and a platform for jumping into the sea. Both parasols and shaded canopies are available on the beach, which is a nice touch. We were somewhat irritated by the seemingly permanently drunk Polish guests, but that's hardly the hotel's fault. Some things are beyond management's control. **Food:** It exists. Make of that what you will. **Bars:** One in the lobby, another on the beach. Neither seems to have the slightest idea how to make a decent cocktail :) Most of the alcohol is local, and its main selling point is that it probably won't poison you. High standards, clearly. At lunch, the waiters are apparently supposed to come over and ask what you'd like to drink. In theory, anyway. In practice, they rarely show up, so you'd better get used to doing everything yourself. **Animation:** Mercifully, almost non-existent. The evening shows are your standard village-hall amateur productions. We went to one, got the general idea, and decided we'd seen enough. Thanks to the excellent location of our room, we neither saw nor heard the rest of the performances. Honestly, one of the hotel's biggest selling points. **Guests:** Belarusians, Russians, Poles (of course), plenty of Turks, and, surprisingly, French-speaking guests, plus the odd British tourist, as you get pretty much everywhere. Strangely enough, not a German in sight. Yet another plus for the hotel. **Housekeeping:** The room is cleaned daily, and the minibar is replenished with delicious mineral water. No complaints here. **Staff:** Polite, courteous, and not pushy. They dealt with all our issues without any fuss. Credit where credit is due. **SPA:** Rather small for a hotel of this size. The sauna and hammam are packed to the rafters, and we never actually managed to use either of them. Apparently, everyone else had the same idea. **Evening entertainment:** Apart from the amateur shows and the table tennis table that's permanently occupied, there's not much to do in the evenings. The hotel could easily add a couple more table tennis tables, a pool table, some darts, and a few board games. It wouldn't exactly require a major investment. As things stand, our compatriots have to find their own ways to keep themselves entertained. **Check-out:** They take your wristbands away immediately, effectively cutting you off from the few remaining comforts of civilisation. Nothing says “thank you for staying with us” quite like that :) **What I didn't like:** The crowds at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's less like a hotel restaurant and more like a railway station at rush hour. The SPA is just as overcrowded. There are far too few table tennis tables, and the lack of evening entertainment is noticeable. A pool table, darts, and some board games would go a long way towards making the evenings less tedious. **What I liked:** The well-maintained grounds, the excellent beach, and, above all, the location of our room. Peace and quiet turned out to be the hotel's greatest luxury.

A truly picturesque place. A wonderful hotel, quiet and cozy; I’m coming here for the second time already. This time, the hotel has become even better. The manager, Mika, is excellent — she helps with everything. Mika itakes care of us, speaks rushian and is very attentive and kind. Overall, the staff is very good. The food is excellent. The sea is very clean; there’s a descent from the pier and along the seawall into the sea. I swim quite a lot; the water is 24–26 degrees, but it’s not hot like in summer.Paradise!

On the plus side, there is the location: a beautiful beach, mountains, and a good entry into the sea for Kemer. The food is exactly as often stated in reviews: "you won't go hungry," but nothing more. They make tasty cocktails, including their own special ones; the coffee in the lobby is delicious, and the idea with herbal teas is great—you can choose a blend, and they brew it right in front of you. There are many small animals on the territory. Overall, it is clean enough. The grounds are compact, which is a plus for us. We liked the idea of an à la carte lunch at the beach bar. We also by chance we're at the hotel when Oktoberfest was organized. It was excellent: beautifully done, with lots of interesting treats. The idea with room keys on wristbands is superb. Very convenient! As for the downsides: the rooms need renovation, and the furniture is very, very old (it was even unpleasant to hang my clothes in the closet). Common areas: some parts are updated, while others are completely run-down. I didn't like the restaurant (or rather, the canteen): there are plastic placemats on the tables, which apparently are never changed, washed, or sanitized, yet cutlery is placed directly on them during table setting. More than once, I observed them wiping the table around these placemats while leaving them exactly as they were. I only saw tablecloths during dinner once, and even then, it was just for one group of people (maybe they had some kind of celebration or were "special" guests for whom they spared no red tablecloths). The staff varies. There are very friendly ones, ready to solve issues and help — and there are those who are just putting in their working hours. A strange situation is with beach towels: you can't just change them when you need to; instead, you are required to come strictly at specific hours for clean ones in the morning and return used ones in the evening. Meaning, you cannot, for example, exchange used ones for clean ones in the evening or come in the morning with used ones and take clean ones right away. To our questions, we got the answer: "I only have 600 towels in total, so I can't just change them" (in a hotel with roughly 350 rooms, mind you). The pastry cafe on the beach is just a name: a tiny bit of fruit, two or three types of cakes, and that's it. The Belgian waffles are tasty, the ice cream is just okay. In general, there is a place to walk: 10–15 minutes to a row of souvenir shops / pharmacies heading towards Göynük, but walking along the road is not very pleasant, as there is a periodic smell of sewage. In early October, the vacationers were predominantly aged 50–60+. For children and youth, I think it won't be a great fit. In general, if you really want just the sea and are ready to close your eyes to everything else, then it can be considered, especially if the price is nice, but such a vacation is a very big compromise.
