Ramada Resort by Wyndham Side

I booked this holiday last minute and paid just over £400 per person for five nights, so I was a little unsure what to expect. I had read quite a few mixed reviews and had only stayed in one all-inclusive hotel before. I’m also pregnant, so cleanliness and food quality were important to me, especially as these were mentioned in some of the negative reviews. Thankfully, our experience was very different. For a five-night break, we thought the holiday was fantastic. Our room was fine and exactly what you would expect for the price we paid. It was clean, although I wouldn’t say it was cleaned every day. We did, however, receive fresh, clean towels and bedding. The bathroom could probably do with a revamp, but considering the limited amount of time we spent in the room, it was perfectly adequate. I’m quite fussy with food, but I really enjoyed the meals. I didn’t try much at breakfast apart from the pancakes with chocolate spread, which quickly became a favourite, and the fruit selection was very good. We never had any trouble finding a table at breakfast, lunch or dinner, although this may have been because of the time of year we visited. Lunch was probably my favourite meal. There was a good choice of pasta, salads and hot food, and the wedges were especially nice. Dinner was also varied, with different themed evenings during our stay. One evening was sushi night, which I couldn’t eat because I’m pregnant, but it looked very popular and was presented well. The staff were always friendly and helpful. There weren’t many British guests while we were there, so I sometimes felt they weren’t used to how often we say please and thank you. Whenever we spoke to reception or contacted housekeeping, though, everyone was polite and happy to help. Before travelling, I had read that the hotel was isolated and far from everything. We didn’t find this to be the case. There was a short walk of around 10 to 15 minutes to reach shops, pharmacies, bars and restaurants. On our last evening, we had a lovely steak at Titanic Bar, which was a great way to finish the holiday. My partner used the gym and spa every day and also booked a full-body massage, which he really enjoyed. As I’m pregnant, I had a pregnancy-friendly scrub and body treatment. It was one of the highlights of the trip and probably the best spa treatment I’ve had in a long time. If we had stayed longer, I would definitely have booked another one. We also had no problems getting sunbeds. On the first morning, we set an alarm for 8am because we had heard they were difficult to get, but we soon realised this wasn’t necessary. For the rest of our stay, we arrived at the pool between 8am and 9:30am and were always able to get the same beds. Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations. We arrived feeling unsure because of some of the reviews, but we had a really enjoyable stay. For the price we paid, we felt it was good value for money and would happily return.

Location of the hotel was good, rooms were in a very poor condition, needed some refurbishment - the bathroom and room ceiling were having water marks, the bathroom door needed some painting as it looked so dirty. The smell in the bathroom, of damp it was so bad! The soap dispenser was not really in a good condition either, it was full of soap but nothing was coming out of the dispenser. Noise level horrific, we could hear the neighbours talking/going to/using the bathroom. The service wise - we’ve booked the family double room and that was meant to be all inclusive but at the start when we arrived we had to pay extra for a wifi, to get a code per each phone not even per room! And on the hotel service list it was listed and included. The atmosphere wasn’t that great, not much was on offer! On the good side the spa services were amazing (even at extra cost!)! It was The highlight of the whole experience - 100%! As per all experience that we had I wouldn’t go back there again and i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

The hotel was really lovely. The staff were very friendly, and the animation team provided a great variety of entertainment and activities throughout the day. In the mornings and afternoons, the animation team organized and hosted a range of different activities, such as darts, water aerobics, balloon games, foam parties, various dance sessions, and much more. In the evenings, there was a kids’ disco followed by different shows, in which the guests were also encouraged to participate. The entertainment team always made sure that the guests were having a good time and kept the atmosphere lively. When it came to food, there was something available around the clock, either in the restaurant or at the snack bar. In general, the hotel is very well equipped with activitie. Apart from the entertainment programme, there were plenty of other options, including massages, a sauna, shopping, table tennis, and much more. The hotel is very family-friendly, but it is also great for groups of friends or couples. Whether it was the food or the entertainment, there was something for everyone.

I want to express my strongest gratitude towards a bartender named Burak in this resort. His fast paced execution paired with an unforgettable personality elevated my experience extremely. Burak you made my groups trip and I hope you get the recognition you deserve. Much love from Sofia Bulgaria!

Excellent few days staying at Ramada by Wyndham. Was slightly apprehensive reading some of the reviews however we couldn't have been happier. Staff worked tirelessly to keep everywhere spotless, always happy to help and have a conversation/laugh with you. If you want chips, pasta, pizza or processed foods this is not for you....however for those that like trying local cusine then you will not be disappointed. So many options available before you venture out to the bbq each evening you are spoilt for choice. Rooms were basic but quite spacious, shower was good & fridge is stocked as part of your all inclusive with water, coke & orangw each day. You do need beach shoes for the beach. Free mini bus service runs throughout the day however it is only 10min walk. Beach bar was great & did food/snacks during the day. Location is quiet and you need to get the local dolmus ( pay in lira, much cheaper than euro) to get to shops etc. Side old town, beautiful, 20min away and cost 140 lira each way. Run every 15 minutes from outside hotel.
