Regnum The Crown – Luxury Mostly in the Pictures We have just returned from Regnum The Crown, promoted as one of the most luxurious hotels in Turkey. The viral photos of Crystal Cove Pool, interiors, rooms and restaurants look spectacular. It was the most expensive All-Inclusive option available for our dates, so we decided to see what it actually offers for the money. We can compare it with Regnum Carya, Lujo Bodrum and Cullinan Belek. The first surprise came at check-in: a EUR 400 deposit, accepted only by credit card. According to the information we received, the funds may not be released for 30–40 days. I have never experienced anything like this before. The hotel itself is spectacular: modern, luxurious and beautifully finished. The rooms are excellent and extremely clean. Hotel: 10/10. The staff are also fantastic – friendly, professional and attentive. Service: 10/10. Unfortunately, this is where the premium experience ends. The biggest problem is the absurd concept of effectively combining The Crown and Regnum Carya into one open resort. The Crown guests can use Carya, which is great. The problem is that it works both ways. Guests from the considerably cheaper Regnum Carya can freely use The Crown’s pools, buffet, cafés and most restaurants. The result? Crowds and a daily battle for sunbeds. After 9 a.m., finding a free sunbed around the pool is almost impossible. People “reserve” them early in the morning with towels and bags and then go for breakfast. It feels more like a three-star resort than one of Turkey’s most expensive hotels. A hotel that is supposed to provide peace, privacy and exclusivity sometimes feels like a zoo, with Carya guests coming over to take viral photos at Crystal Cove Pool, have coffee, eat and spend the day by the pool. And I do not blame Carya guests – I would do exactly the same. The problem is the system. If Regnum Carya can cost as little as half the price of The Crown, why pay the premium? You can stay at Carya and spend your days enjoying the facilities of the much more expensive hotel. Whoever created this concept has effectively destroyed The Crown’s exclusivity. Food? The buffet is very good and meets premium standards. The à la carte restaurants, however, are a huge disappointment. The dishes are painfully ordinary, the menus hardly change, and the same food appears at lunch and dinner. There is nothing here that justifies positioning this hotel as “Top Luxury”. I suggest visiting Lujo Bodrum to see what premium hotel dining can actually be. Another surprise: the games room costs extra. At this price level and under an All-Inclusive concept, this is something I have never encountered before. Overall, our stay was a huge disappointment. We spoke with other The Crown guests who were equally shocked and openly said they felt cheated. Want to fight for a sunbed every morning? Book The Crown. Want to feel like a fool for paying twice as much when you could stay at Carya and use The Crown anyway? Book it too. But if you are looking for peace, privacy, exclusivity and a genuine premium experience – stay well away. A beautiful building and excellent staff are not enough. Luxury also means space, privacy, peace and outstanding gastronomy. And that is exactly what Regnum The Crown failed to deliver.

Amazing hotel! We had such a lovely experience with the Kids Club! Our daughter really enjoyed spending time there, and we felt very comfortable leaving her in their care. A special thank you to Kubra, who babysat our daughter and was absolutely amazing — so kind, caring, patient, and attentive. She made us feel completely at ease, and our daughter was very happy with her. We truly appreciated the wonderful care and would definitely recommend the Kids Club and Kubra to other families!

We've been to Turkey 3-4 times a year for the past 14 years so we're experienced enough to know the difference between brilliant, good and average hotels. The Crown is up there with the best (in the top 3), we've been to the Maxx Royal several times, The Lujo in Bodrum, The Cullinan, Regnum Carya etc.) Real class from the doorman, bellboys and guest relations through to the cleaners, housekeeping staff and almost anyone that works for the hotel, the interactions and level of professionalism is exceptional. Everything about the hotel is impeccable the Headchef and their team is obviously top quality as the food in every restaurant at anytime of day is outstanding. One thing that is head and shoulders above any! other hotel we've ever been to are the standard rooms (Sea Scape suite) when we first visited the Crown at Christmas 2025 I was shocked at how much better they were than the competition, huge for a standard room 110sq metres, big dressing room, big bathroom with a large free standing bath, twin sinks and the great touches like the almost silent whirlpool flushing toilet and the amazing rain shower which is a mixture of rain and mist (it's absolutely brilliant). Other little touches which they've put thought into is the minibar fridge door doesn't make a sound when it closes (even if you close it with force it still doesn't make a sound), The hammock ceiling suspended chair (love it). But what really makes a holiday is the interaction with the staff, below are just a few of the staff who made ours special. The entire team on the Seven Roof top infinity pool...WOW! the best service I've ever had in years by a long way. The barman Dervis and Andac and waiters Ilhak, Zekeriya and Emre, the towel and sunbed service man Can and Buse the life guard, she's a great character. (Apologies if I've missed anyone). We planned on only going up there for a few days and ended up spending almost the entire week up there as the service was so special. Kaan in the Riviera restaurant at lunch time outstanding service along with Chafer the Manager in Alia (lovely chap). Service around the other pools was also outstanding, Kayra and Hasan the skaters were brilliant considering they don't get tipped much and it's nearly 40 degrees in the July, August. Ulas the pool butler (if you know your football he's great to talk to). Also a special mention for Erhan (restaurant manager), really great service. We've already booked to return next year to The Crown...can't come soon enough.
