Unfortunately, our experience was far below the standard expected from a hotel of this category and price. On our very first day, we were served chips at the rooftop bar in a bowl in which a cigarette had been extinguished. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about hygiene standards. During our stay, the rooftop pool was closed for a private event. After that, we wanted to dine at the Greek restaurant, but it was also reserved for a private event. When we complained that yet another facility was unavailable because of a private event, we were offered a reservation at the Greek restaurant latter as an apology. However, when we arrived, the restaurant was closed. Nobody had informed us; the information about the closure had apparently been sent to other guests instead of us. But when whe finally get second day in greek restaurant like apology, they put us near the door, give cold food, many people whas angry, At the table next to us, all the food orders were completely mixed up as well. On another occasion, we were told how amazing the French restaurant was, while at the same time being told that it was always fully booked and almost impossible to reserve. Then, once again, we were offered a reservation, so we decided to give it a chance. Despite having written confirmation, our names were not on the list. Like, what is going on?We had to show our WhatsApp confirmation, three staff members came over, and we had to prove that we actually had a reservation, as if we were criminals. It was extremely insulting and uncomfortable. Then they found us a table and seated us at one that hadn’t even been properly cleared — a bottle from the previous guests was still on the table. The overall condition of the hotel was also disappointing. Several rooms had experienced water leaks, and in many areas there was a noticeable smell of old, damp carpets. Throughout our stay, the corridors were constantly cluttered with housekeeping trolleys, bags and cleaning equipment. It gave the impression of being in a housekeeping or maintenance facility rather than a luxury hotel. Communication between departments was extremely poor, there was almost no proactive guest service, and despite all the issues we experienced, on our final day nobody even asked how our stay had been. We were also surprised by the €250 security deposit required as a guarantee against possible damage to furniture or other items in the room. These were not isolated incidents but repeated failures in hygiene, maintenance, communication and service. For a hotel positioning itself at this level, this experience was unacceptable and far from the luxury standard we paid for. Room number: 7580 Stay: September 2026
Very disappointed, we have arrived and the pools are absolutely freezing. They are not usable especially for our children. It’s such an expensive hotel we have been multiple times per year for the last few years and it seems they are cutting costs while raising prices. We asked months ago for the rooms we booked to be next door to each other (amber lagoon) so we could be together in the pool. When we arrived they told us this is not possible and we wasn’t even on the same row meaning it was a completely different pool. The booking was made together so I’m unsure why they have done this. Staff don’t seem to care they just say its not possible.
Absolutely fuming. This is our 5th time at the crown, we have paid extra for Amber Lagoon villas with swim up pools. We have booked with another family and specifically asked for the rooms to be next to each other. We have arrived today, they have had 2 months to sort this out and our rooms are separate. So we have to check in to different rooms and then re pack our rooms tomorrow and have to move with 3 small children.
We ate the Yan Ji. Emre was unbelievable. What a lovely, friendly, helpful man. Explained the food & drinks menu. Food outstanding. Emre a king!
Simply the best kids club we have ever been to! My kids love it!
