Serenis Hotel

I would be giving this hotel a 1 star if it wasn’t for the great pools. The hotel is in a poor condition. Imagine a 5-star perfect hotel that hasn’t been maintained for 3 years and this is it. Look for the broken chandelier in entrance when first walking into the hotel! Holes in walls and various stains and damage around. Note on check in they charge a deposit for another key card. Overrun hotel not enough staff to deal with the hordes of people Food and restaurant– Too many people for the restaurant the food areas need spacing out more there too compact, when you need to queue for 1 item at the end of the queue its frustrating. The food is cold to Luke warm. Most food it cooked around 1.5 hours to eating so most of the time it’s very old and dry. Its repetitive and they love cooking orange chicken. Orange juice is non-existent only cordial. Staff – can come across as rude and unfriendly they seem to have time for certain people and not others. Staff struggle with basic English. Table service did not exist for the first 6 days of our holiday in the restaurant. I noticed someone being table served so the next day I asked for some drinks to be told no table service, 10 minutes later I caught the same staff member serving drinks to someone. I confronted him and he didn’t understand me I was going to complain to management but I just couldn’t be bothered to waste my holiday. Ice lolly – you cannot freely have an ice lolly you have to wait till 3.30 a which point its like a stampede and when there gone there gone Room – Nice but very worn, Upon arrival we needed 5 beds there were only 4. Towels we needed 5 often there were only 3. Toilet paper 2 cheap rolls per day unfortunately not enough. Shower is like something you get from Temu. Balcony full of ash burs difficult to work out what was dirt or burns. Air con doesn’t work I would sweat all night. Door coving fell off. Washed in marks on bedding. Cheap bed sheet. Pool – Very clean and the kids absolutely love it; I can’t fault it. Entertainment – of 10 days we had 3 evenings of entertainment. When there is no entertainment, you are the entertainment (mini disco, bingo, karaoke). There is no music on the evening when sitting -having a drink in the seating area. Bar drinks – No menus available, all worn out. Glasses were dirty I had to ask for plastic.

A Disappointing Experience Due to the Staff’s Attitude We stayed at Serenis Hotel in Antalya for 7 nights, and unfortunately, we left with a very disappointing impression. First of all, we were not particularly satisfied with the variety of the food. The food was acceptable, but considering the hotel’s level and the price we paid for our stay, we expected more variety. However, this was not the main issue for us and would not have been enough to make our holiday a negative experience. The biggest disappointment was the attitude of the staff and the way we were treated. One evening, at approximately 11:45 PM, we went to the bar to order a few more drinks. The bar’s stated closing time was 12:00 AM, so we still had around 15 minutes before closing. Despite this, the staff categorically refused to serve us and told us, in a very rude manner, that they would not serve us anymore. We asked to speak with the manager because we wanted to understand the situation and resolve it politely. The manager came over, spoke in Turkish with the waiter, and then simply gestured for us to leave. He did not listen to our complaint, did not provide any explanation and did not make any effort to resolve the situation. What was even more disappointing was that no one from the management approached us for the rest of our stay to ask what had happened, discuss the situation or even offer an apology. We paid a significant amount of money for this holiday, and we never expected to be treated in such a disrespectful way. We were not asking for special treatment or anything extra. We simply expected to be treated with basic respect and as paying guests of the hotel. We understand that every hotel can have areas that could be improved, and food variety can also be a matter of personal preference. However, the attitude of the staff towards guests should never be a reason for someone to leave a hotel feeling disappointed and disrespected. It is a shame, because we came to Antalya looking forward to a relaxing holiday, but this experience left a very negative impression on us. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and pays more attention to the way guests are treated in the future. Good service is not only about the facilities or the food — it is also about respect, courtesy and making guests feel welcome. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not choose this hotel again.

We got to this hotel that we booked 2 rooms in the hotel… opon arrival we got told they haven’t the rooms for us so we could have a villa at other end of the hotel or a family room but if we pick family room they’d have to move us in 3days…. As you all know you don’t want to be moved in middle of your holiday. We agreed to see villa, but just after being let inside me and my daughters wasn’t happy so I asked to see family room they’d mentioned, to be told firmly this is the best for you etc, it felt no matter what I said and I expressed how unhappy I was with this villa we wasn’t going to see family room, so we was backed into a corner to agree. There was a car roof in our front room covered over in sheets. Our villa wasn’t cleaned for 2 days when I went to reception to complain they didn’t eve. Know we was there. I could go on about villa and the way we was treated by staff but hopefully you can see. The food on a whole was terrible we are a family that likes our food but we’d all lost weight when we go home. We did complain to company we booked from also picture evidence of lots of things that’s was wrong with it to basically be told they’d spoke to staff and this wasn’t the case so basically me and my family are lying. We like everyone else have worked and saved to come on this holiday first we didn’t get rooms we paid for then many problems in a week to be told we are liars…. Do yourself a favour stay away as we wasn’t the only ones while we was there
