Serenis Hotel

The hotel boasts a great location atop a small hill. A Carrefour supermarket, a pharmacy, a snack restaurant, and various small shops are just 200 meters away. There is also a *dolmuş* (minibus) stop right by the main road. Located 700 meters from the hotel is a lovely paved path that runs along the bay’s coastline all the way to the old town of Side. The path is approximately 5 km long and offers wonderful evening strolls. By EU standards, the hotel does not quite merit a 5-star rating. It has clearly seen better days, and some pieces of furniture have definitely reached the end of their lifespan. In short, there is plenty of room for improvement and upgrades. All in all, it is a good deal for the price paid. The reception area is bright and spacious, and Hatice will quickly take care of everything you need to help you settle into that holiday vibe. The rooms are bright and clean, featuring a balcony and individually controlled air conditioning. There is also an electric kettle for making tea or coffee, while the fridge contains a bottle of water and some juice. A hairdryer is provided in the bathroom. The TV offers many German and Russian channels, but only one in English. :( There is an abundance of food, with something to suit everyone’s taste. During peak times, the dining area gets crowded, and cutlery often runs out—so be prepared to be a little resourceful! ;) It is disappointing that there is an extra charge to use the in-room safe. Similarly, you have to pay for Wi-Fi access in your room or elsewhere within the hotel complex; it is only free to use in the reception area. Data transfer is slow; it might be better to use an eSIM. The pool area is well-maintained and clean. During my stay, there were plenty of sun loungers and parasols available. At certain times, the wave machine and water slides were turned on. It can get quite noisy around the pool area at times. You can pick up a beach towel near the hammam, which also offers Turkish baths and massages. The animation team is quite small at the moment. Nevertheless, they make an effort to provide an engaging program, especially for children. The hotel has its own private beach, accessible via a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes. The driver, Ergun—with his straw hat and a cheerful smile hidden beneath a bushy mustache—is an absolute legend. For him, no route is impossible and no problem is unsolvable; he finds a solution for everything and always puts everyone in a good mood. The beach is a 20-minute walk away. There is a beach bar serving drinks and snacks, and there is plenty of shade and sun loungers.

Currently here and food is disgusting we're we have to go out as not ediable. Full of Germans and are so rude never will return here

First of all, I did not enjoy the food AT ALL! The food was extremely repetitive, very poor in quality, and almost exactly the same every single day. There was hardly any variety, and what disappointed me the most was that there was absolutely NO FISH served during our entire stay. NOT EVEN ONCE! I find this ridiculous for a hotel in a seaside destination. Secondly, there are no cocktails included at the beach bar, only beer. Instead, there is a guy who constantly approaches you on the beach every single day, trying to sell cocktails for €5–10 each. It gets incredibly annoying because you can't even relax on the beach without being bothered. On the positive side, the room was very clean and cleaned properly every single day. This is one of the few things I genuinely appreciated about this hotel. However, the extra charges are ridiculous. You have to pay €2 PER DAY just to use the safe in your room! Something so basic should already be included in the price. Wi-Fi is another disappointment. There is no free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, except in the reception area, where the connection is absolutely terrible. If you want proper internet access, you have to pay extra. The hotel bar closes at midnight (12 AM), which is disappointing if you want to enjoy your evening a little longer. The indoor swimming pool was out of order, so we couldn't use it at all. And to make matters worse, there was an unpleasant smell of cat feces in parts of the hotel, which was absolutely disgusting. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The food was terrible, the facilities were lacking, and it felt like the hotel was constantly trying to charge extra for basic services. I would NOT recommend this hotel, and I definitely would not return!
