Susesi Luxury Resort

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at this fabulous hotel. We stayed in a deluxe superior with pool access to the lakehouse pool with 2 children. The room was very spacious, big terrace with own sun loungers and a few steps down to the pool. There was also a snack bar at this pool. The hotel is big and our first 6 nights the hotel was very busy. But we never felt crowded and always found sun loungers around on the pier in the afternoon and also around the pool. The food was of a high standard in the main buffet restaurant and there was always a good selection of carved meat, fish and options for the children. We also ate in the fish and Turkish a La carte and both were delicious. But what set this hotel apart from others is the help and support we received when my husband had an accident which resulted in him being in a wheelchair for the last 4 days of the holiday. Guest relations thought of everything that would assist us and make the rest of the holiday comfortable. This included delivering a wheelchair, giving us use of a beach chalet, reserved table in the restaurant and a private transfer back to the airport. MS Seda, Omar and the general manager Mr Bayrakci checked in with us daily to ensure we were ok. And to top it all off we celebrated our anniversary whilst there and we were treated to a meal in the steak house, cake and champagne. They really made sure we still had a fantastic holiday even with the injury. The hotel grounds and beach are spotless. We also enjoyed the evening entertainment, playing table tennis, billiards, water slides and the watersports on the beach. All staff were friendly. We are already planning a return visit next summer as the hotel was the right mix for adults and our children but also felt luxurious. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday so special.

We are currently at this hotel and we are having a fantastic time! The operation of the hotel and its facilities are fantastic. Our room is very beautiful and modern with lots of space. We received an upgrade to a superior deluxe room ! The food is very nice at the hotel also . Granted breakfast can be manic however I feel this is the same with all large resorts and buffet halls . Food is very fresh and would definitely return . Having stayed at other resorts in turkey i.e Rixos . Sussesi has definitely a lot of the facilities with a fraction of the price .

If you're a smoker and like lukewarm food then this is the place for you... Me and my partner booked this based on the stunning pictures and good reviews. Visually this is a beautiful hotel, from the second we walked in we were taken away by the size, cleanliness and scenery of this hotel. However, we had a late flight so didn't arrive at the hotel until around 11pm and we were both very hungry. It took them about 20 mins to check us in, they took our names and passports, sat us down, gave us a form to fill in and then left us sat there for 15 minutes with no idea what was happening. My partner asked if there was anywhere in the hotel we could grab some quick food. It took two or three people to understand what we were asking to then tell us no but there's a snack bar which opens at midnight. We asked if we good get a take out from anywhere but no one understood what were we asking. They took us to our suite which was a 10 minute walk from the main reception. The suite was beautiful I must say, amazing size and huge balcony with sun loungers and great air con. The concierge brought our luggage up to the room which my partner asked him again if there was anywhere we could get food. He didn't completely understand but after using a translating app he advised us of a patisserie we could go to near the main lobby which served soups, spaghetti and breads. The pools and beach are lovely. Downfall to the pool is there are no designated smoking areas, I have nothing against people wanting to smoke but this is my first experience where you could smoke anywhere and everywhere so hair and towels constantly stunk of fags, it was also surprising because the hotel is an attraction for couple with children therefore there are usually smoking areas. As for the food, the buffet was "ok", nothing to shout about, the food was just about warm every day and it was very much the same stuff different day. There are different cuisine restaurants on site, you get one visit included if you're there for a week or 2 free visits if you're there for 2 weeks. We wanted to book the steakhouse but there has to be a minimum of 10 people booked in for them to open so instead we booked the Italian, it was ok but not a very huge menu at all. The Spa however is a solid 4/5! fantastic service but they do try to talk you in to having more treatments for more money throughout the treatment, 100% recommend having a Turkish bath if you haven't before. Shops in the Hotel are also decent and nice staff. In terms of people staying at the hotel it was mainly Turkish, which isn't a problem for us but we do like to mix and meet new people abroad but unfortunately that didn't happen this time. There is a good variety of activities for kids and also a mini club and a small waterpark on site. There are water sports, beach bar/restaurant and night entertainment. Overall I would say this hotel is 3.5/5 but has the potential to be an amazing 5* with some tweaks, the staff are very very nice and they will try their best to understand or find someone who can. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends or family as a first option but the Belek area is nice, great little town with plenty of shops and lots of golf courses which isn't for me but my partner loved!

We have just returned home from our holiday, staying at the hotel from 31st August to 8th September. We were a party of two adults and a teenager and stayed in one of the Lake Suites (4202). The room itself was fantastic and perfect for a relaxing holiday. It was spacious enough for the three of us and consisted of a hallway/lounge area with an additional bed and wardrobe, a main bedroom, two bathrooms and two terraces with swim-up access. The suite was definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, this is where the positives largely end, as we felt the hotel fell well short of what we would expect from a property advertised as a luxury resort. Mealtimes were very chaotic, with what appeared to be insufficient staff and management presence. Tables were regularly left uncleared, meaning you often had to wait for a table to be cleared and reset before you could sit down. There was also very little waiter service for drinks, so on most occasions we simply helped ourselves. The food in the main buffet was average at best. The Mexican à la carte restaurant, however, was lovely, and we really enjoyed our meal there, particularly as we visited for our son’s birthday. The pool maintenance was another major disappointment. We rarely saw any cleaning taking place, and there was visible scum around the pool and throughout the swim-up areas. When paying a premium for a Lake Suite, you expect a much higher level of cleanliness and attention to detail. There were also broken tiles, and none of the Jacuzzis in the swim-up area were working during our stay. More generally, the public areas and gardens often felt unclean and poorly maintained. It was particularly disappointing because the hotel has the potential to be a beautiful place to stay. We can't help but feel that perhaps five years ago it may have lived up to its luxury reputation, but unfortunately it now appears to have fallen a long way short of those standards. We travelled with Jet2holidays, and having booked this as a premium/luxury hotel (advertised as Luxe collection), we genuinely don't understand why it is still classed as such, the photography is misleading and perhaps out of date to current day. The Lake Suite itself was excellent, but the overall hotel experience did not match the expectations or price associated with a luxury resort.

We are currently here on holiday as a family of five. I have waited a few days before writing this to really get a feel of what the resort is like and whilst initially with our room we were quite impressed. We are in a Senior Suite which is very spacious with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The housekeeping team were very accommodating on our first night making up a third bed for the second bedroom so that all of the children could be together. The room has been kept clean & tidy throughout our stay. There is however, a very odd smell - like cat wee in one of the bathrooms. Housekeeping came out but couldn’t resolve it, which has been disappointing. A few points to note if you are thinking of coming throughout the busy season. Mealtimes are carnage at peak times. No one seats you to a table like we have experienced in other 5 star resorts. Most days it has literally been a free for all & bear in mind that most people here are with their families a lot need large tables - we have had several instances where we have had to put tables together ourselves to make it large enough whilst staff have just looked on. It has been ridiculous & quite stressful at times. A lot of guests smoke which seems alien now being English! Our issue has been that no one complies to the no smoking areas so if you want to sit outside to eat, be prepared to be sat around a lot of smokers, even in the non smoking section. We mentioned this to a number of staff and not one was interested. All of the rooms are meant to be non smoking as well but, again these rules don’t seem to apply to everyone. Several times we have been able to smell smoke in our room and the communal corridors have a very stale smoky smell to them. When I mentioned this at the front desk, I was told in a very polite way that whilst they understood my frustration, there was little that they could do. I did look at another room but the hassle of moving five of us half way through the holiday just to be in the same boat didn’t appeal. The food and drinks are very average in our opinion. You can always find something to eat but you have to wonder around the various different stations for a while to find it. To do this easily you need to be at the restaurants early otherwise it’s very difficult, especially with small children. We have also found it particularly difficult to get a decent coffee!! Most of the staff look absolutely shattered which is no doubt why a lot can’t be bothered to help. There are the odd few however, who are great - you’ll just need to seek them out & hope that they can speak English as many can’t or don’t want too! We weren’t told on arrival where the buffet restaurant was and there is no evening turn down service. No biggies but what you expect in a 5 star resort. Lastly the hotel is very old & very tired in parts. There are a lot of areas which need a total refurb. There are chunks missing out of walls, broken floor tiles in & out of the hotel, especially around the pool. Tired dirty brollies & sun loungers (which are basic) etc. It has clearly had a LOT of use over the years and just not been kept on top of. In our opinion this hotel with the quality of the facilities, the quality of the food offering and attentiveness of staff is no more than a 4 star - at a push. I’m not sure how Jet2 can sell this holiday as a 5 star Luxe??? There are so many other hotels in Turkey, I would avoid this one unfortunately & look for something a bit newer - (although tricky as the Jet2 pictures on line aren’t a true representation of what we’ve seen) Overall, whilst we have made the most of it, it has been a disappointing week & has made me really think twice about booking another holiday with Jet2holidays. ** We have complained to the Guest Relations team about all of the above and they have booked us into the Al A Carte restaurants for the remainder of our stay to avoid the saga of the main buffet restaurant. I also spoke with the Jet2 Rep to make a formal complaint**
