Very Disappointing – Definitely Not a 5-Star Experience We have just returned from a week-long stay at the Titanic with my husband and our two children, aged 7 and 2. As someone who visits Turkey at least three times a year, I feel I can give a fair and honest comparison. Unfortunately, I can safely say that this is one hotel we will not be returning to. Check-in and First Impressions Check-in wasn’t the best start to our holiday. There was no welcome drink offered and very little information given about the hotel or its facilities. First impressions really do matter, and unfortunately, it didn’t feel like the 5-star experience we were expecting. The Rooms The room was a huge disappointment. The pictures advertised on the Jet2 website are nothing like the rooms you actually receive. The rooms are small, have very limited storage space and feel dirty, dated and in need of a serious refurbishment. The air conditioning also didn’t appear to work at all. In fact, when we switched it on, the room seemed to get even hotter! We raised this with the hotel, but unfortunately, nothing was done to resolve the issue. Food and Restaurants We only ate at the main buffet restaurant, and I can honestly say it was some of the worst food we have experienced during our many holidays in Turkey. There was very little variety, limited vegetarian options and, more often than not, the food was only lukewarm. The same dishes seemed to be served night after night, with very little change throughout our stay. For a hotel advertising itself as 5-star, we expected so much more. Service One of the things I have always loved about visiting Turkey is the incredible hospitality and customer service. Unfortunately, this hotel did not live up to that reputation. The service throughout the hotel was disappointing, and there was a noticeable lack of warmth and enthusiasm from staff. This is definitely an area that needs significant improvement. Kids’ Club and Facilities The kids’ club facilities themselves are fantastic. There is so much for children to do, and the indoor and outdoor play gyms are brilliant. However, the staff were another disappointment. They often appeared miserable and made very little effort to interact with the children. We didn’t get the welcoming, friendly atmosphere you would expect from a children’s club. We were also told that certain sections of the kids’ club were closed for cleaning, but during our time there, I never actually saw anyone cleaning these areas. Swimming Pools and Waterpark Unfortunately, all of the outdoor pools were absolutely freezing, meaning we couldn’t enjoy them at all. As a result, we ended up having to use the indoor pool every day. When we raised our concerns, we were told that the outdoor pools wouldn’t be heated until 1st November. I find it difficult to understand why at least one outdoor pool couldn’t be heated, particularly when there were so many young children coming out of the water crying and shivering because they were so cold. The indoor pool is advertised as being 28 degrees, but personally, I didn’t find it particularly warm either. The children’s slides and splash park look fantastic, and I’m sure they would be brilliant in warmer weather. However, if you’re considering visiting during the low season, I would seriously think twice, especially if you have young children. Overall Experience Overall, the hotel is looking tired and dated and certainly didn’t feel like a 5-star resort to us. Based on our experience, it felt much closer to a 3-star hotel. It’s such a shame because the facilities and potential are there, but so many things let this hotel down. From the rooms and food to the service and swimming pools, there were too many disappointments throughout our stay. Having visited Turkey at least three times a year, we have experienced some fantastic hotels with outstanding food, facilities and customer service. There are plenty of other hotels in Turkey offering similar prices but delivering a far better overall experience. Unfortunately, Titanic didn’t meet our expectations, and we certainly won’t be returning. I would recommend doing plenty of research before booking, particularly if you’re travelling with young children or visiting during the low season.

Fantastic hotel,staff and experience. As good as of a hotel I’ve ever been too. The steak restaurant & cabana on the pier are a must do. Excellent value for money. The staff are outstanding and can’t do enough for you

Food at buffet best we have experienced Loved the kids club - incredible so many things for them to do Also paid £250 for cabana, which was a fantastic treat Pools were cold due to time of year but we knew this and kids had wet suits and loved the slides and pool Also Turkish bath and saunas were great Finally bottles of beer instead of beer from tap was a lovely touch
