Stayed here for two weeks end of August/early September. All in I’d say this was a good hotel and we had a great time but a few little niggles would stop us staying here again. We arrived late night/early morning, no welcome drink which I think is always a nice touch. We were shown to our room which was at the opposite end to the pools/beach, and on the corner of a block. Room was fine, not the most spacious but decent enough. We had two balconies as we were a corner room but both were very small, I think pretty much all balconies were very small. No decent view from our room. Small fridge with a couple of beers, soft drinks and water. All of which were restocked daily. That first night we heard quite a lot of noise and still even now have no idea what it was, and unfortunately we heard the noise most nights. I actually bought ear plugs from the onsite shop. It wasn’t horrific noise but it was just a little annoying. It was room 1116 so be warned. Grounds were lovely and well kept. The main pool was great, a good size, and the entertainment team did water polo and water volleyball daily which we joined in and enjoyed, as well as pool games for adults and kids. Slides were good and never busy. Sunbeds are mentioned a lot on here and yes they are few and far between unless you’re up at 6, but we went down to the pool before breakfast between 7.30 and 8 and always managed to get at least 3 beds near the pool. We did get grief off an elderly German couple one morning who thought we stole their beds even though there wasn’t anything on the beds. The elderly gentleman said he’d been down at 4am to put his towel on! Says it all really.. Beach was nice enough but it didn’t really make us want to spend much time there. There are 3 main bars, the 24hr lobby bar, the bar near the pool, and the Roma bar which was more of a cocktail bar, though it did pretty much the same drinks as the other bars, maybe just a little smarter. Pool bar was fine, always a little queue but you never had to wait long. Table service in the other bars was very inconsistent, sometimes you got it, other times you didn’t. So we just went up to the bar. There was one girl in the lobby bar who was very good and always went to tables to take orders. Others not so much. There are 2 buffet areas, one for lunch, one for dinner. Both were fine, very busy as you’d expect. Service was on the most part good and quick, Drinks though were just poured from bottles at stations so nothing was cold, so they even put ice in your wine. Now personally I thought the food was decent and tasty, but just too much of the same thing day in day out. Every day there was a few Turkey dishes, a few chicken dishes and a few beef dishes, some pasta, veg, rice. There were some themed nights but they weren’t great and not much different to any other night. Also, as this place is predominantly German (which I’ll get to..) the food was geared to them. At breakfast there was more salad and cold meats than at lunchtime, in fact there was absolutely no cold meats at lunchtime, which I find odd. The puddings really were not good, and for some reason were never labeled up, the only food that wasn’t labeled so you had no idea what was what. There are 3 à la carte restaurants but we didn’t try them as they always looked quiet. My wife ended up with a very bad stomach after the Italian themed night which lasted a fair few days. There was a nice snack restaurant near the beach which did lovely food but it was so hot in there we found it hard to cope. The little Macarons cafe was nice, and did nice sweet goods. I’ve already mentioned a few of the negatives but the main one is that this is basically a German resort and a German hotel. 90% of the occupants are German. The problem being that the staff speak to you in German, even when you’ve made it clear you’re English, which is very annoying. We found the majority to be quite rude and had no manners whatsoever, often pushing in front of others. We asked a lady passing us if she would take a photo of the four of us and she simply said ‘no’ and walked off. You’ll also find that most of the German occupants smoke. Pretty much anywhere we sat near the pool we’d have chain smokers somewhere near us, same on an evening if sat outside, and same in the buffet if you sit outside. Thankfully we did meet some really lovely English families during our stay. The last negative is the attitude of the staff. I’m sure they all work their socks off but there just wasn’t much in the way of a smile, or friendly communication. They didn’t even have any banter between themselves, they just seemed to look a bit miserable. I ordered a coffee one morning at the lobby bar to take to the pool and the guy didn’t say a single word to me, no ‘morning’ or ‘hello’. Absolutely nothing. I will however mention Murat who served us outside on an evening in the buffet restaurant. A lovely man who always smiled and would make a real effort to speak to us, even coming up and giving me a handshake if I saw him anywhere else. Tuncay, who we nicknamed Ben Affleck, was also great. So, I would recommend this hotel, it is a good hotel, but we just wouldn’t return due to a few of the points made above.
The bartender of Roma Bar was very nice and the cocktails were insane. Will recommend it to others.
Very nice food and nice water slides. Highlight of our trip were the cocktails of the barkeeper in the Roma bar. Fantastic experience with some fantastic drinks!
The Barkeeper at the Roma Bar was super friendly and skilled. Thank you for the phenomenal experience
An absolute five-star experience at Trendy Aspendos Beach! The hotel is exceptionally clean, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere combined with the animations is simply wonderful. A special shoutout goes to the bar, where Turgut serves up amazing drinks. Whether it’s a perfectly balanced whiskey sour, a refreshing cola with ice and lemon, or his signature creation, the delicious "Strawberry Dream" cocktail, his skills are top-notch. Turgut is a true professional with a fantastic work ethic who genuinely deserves a promotion. Management, give this man an upgrade—he more than earned it!
