Akra Sorgun – Two wonderful weeks, beautiful people and memories we’ll treasure ❤️ My wife Jo and I spent two wonderful weeks at Akra Sorgun in October 2026, and what a fabulous experience it was! Having previously stayed at Akra Kemer, we already had high expectations of the Akra brand, but Sorgun has a very special charm and personality all of its own. What immediately struck us was just how wonderfully relaxed the hotel feels. There are so many lovely places to escape to, whether you want a peaceful corner to read, a quiet drink by the cocktail bar, or simply to sit together and watch the world go by. The atmosphere is chilled, unhurried and incredibly welcoming. Our room was immaculate, beautifully put together and extremely comfortable. Having a sea view made it feel even more special. Waking up to that view every morning was a real treat. The cocktail bars were fabulous, with beautifully prepared cocktails and an excellent choice of branded spirits. It was lovely to find somewhere comfortable to settle in for a drink, particularly in the evenings. One of our favourite experiences was relaxing around the adults’ pool, listening to a live saxophonist or singer whilst enjoying a drink together. Those moments were genuinely magical. The evening entertainment was equally impressive, with some absolutely amazing live shows. The hotel manages to create a wonderful balance between peaceful relaxation during the day and a lively, sophisticated atmosphere in the evening. The staff deserve enormous praise. The attention to detail from the waiting staff was incredible. They were attentive, warm and professional, and their genuine hospitality made such a difference to our experience. And then there was the wonderful lady making the traditional flatbreads. What an absolute star! She reminded me so much of my nan, with her lovely manner and warmth. I became so fond of her that I gave her a cuddle when we left. A truly beautiful person and someone who captured the heart of the hotel for me. Food was another highlight. We particularly loved the Ocean restaurant at lunchtime. Sitting right by the sea, enjoying a leisurely meal with that fabulous view, was an absolute delight. Olive was another favourite, and we thoroughly enjoyed the different dining experiences. I managed plenty of lovely swims in the pools, and the sea was wonderfully inviting too. We also loved the resident cats, who added their own little bit of character and charm to the surroundings. Another highlight was the people we met. We had some wonderful conversations and made new friends, including fellow guests from our hometown of Mansfield, Germany and other parts of the world. It’s amazing how quickly strangers can become friends when everyone is relaxed and enjoying themselves. We also fell completely in love with Side itself. What an absolutely stunning place! Wandering amongst the extraordinary Roman ruins, beautiful streets and historic surroundings was genuinely breathtaking. There’s something magical about discovering thousands of years of history in such a beautiful coastal setting. There was a particularly funny moment when Jo was filming the ancient ruins, panning around with her camera, before turning towards me and announcing, “Oh, and look, there’s another old ruin over there!” Charming! 😂 Our holiday actually began with some spectacular thunderstorms and torrential rain, but even that couldn’t dampen our enjoyment. With a fortnight ahead of us, we had plenty of time to settle in, relax and enjoy everything the hotel had to offer. But perhaps the most special part of the entire experience was simply having time together. Life can be incredibly busy, and having two uninterrupted weeks to relax, laugh, enjoy a little romance and appreciate each other’s company was priceless. I even managed to make some real progress finishing my book, something I’d been looking forward to doing whilst away. Akra Sorgun turned out to be a wonderful place to find a little peace, inspiration and perspective. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed and very grateful. Grateful for the wonderful staff, the beautiful surroundings, the people we met and, most of all, the time we enjoyed together. Thank you, Akra Sorgun, for a truly memorable fortnight. I'll start this review with a WOW- what a fantastic hotel! A true 5* experience! The staff were so accommodating and friendly, the hotel was clean and the food was amazing (especially Turkish night!). We never got to try the a la cart restaurants because the main restaurant was so good. The pool side did get quite busy but there were always loungers. The beach was fabulous and we will definitely spend more time there on our next visit. Coffee is an important part of my life and we had great coffee and even a Nespresso machine in our room! Loads of kids activities which doesn't involve attending kids club. My son had such an amazing time! We used to visit Greece a lot but we will definitely be returning back to Akra. Thank you for such an amazing experience and also a big shout out to Atiller (sorry if I spelt his name wrong) and another gentleman from the main restaurant (in the family area which served us for breakfast and lunch everyday) which I didn't catch his name, they went above and beyond for us. Hope to see you again next year!

From the moment we arrived we knew we were in for a special holiday. We were greeted with a lovely welcome drink and , to our surprise and delight upgraded to the most stunning penthouse suite in the adults only area to celebrate our anniversary. Our room was absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views overlooking the beach and pool. It was everything we could have wished for and more The food and à la carte restaurants were simply amazing , honestly the best food we have ever experienced on an all inclusive holiday. There was so much choice and the quality was outstanding What really made our stay extra special , though, was the wonderful staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and always had a smile on their face A special mention and huge thankyou to Bahar, Durgul, Mehmet and Emin. You all made us feel so welcome and were always genuinely happy to see us Your kindness and smiles made such a difference to our holiday I’d also love to mention Sinem, who did my nails in the hotel salon Such a sweet , lovely girl, and she did an absolutely perfect job Thankyou so much The hotel manager was always present and visible making sure everything ran smoothly The whole hotel was spotless , and the attention to detail throughout was fantastic We honestly cannot fault our stay, from the accommodation and food , to the incredible staff and beautiful surroundings , everything was just perfect We have had the best time and will most definately be returning Thankyou , Tui Blue Sensitori Akra SORGUN , for making our holiday so special We have made some wonderful memories and cannot wait to come back .

Our first time here, a former Barut Hotel built around the same time as Barut Andiz where we normally stay and where we know the General Manager from. Hotel is a high quality venue, staff friendly, food plenty of choice and available 24/7. Various bars located around the site so you don't have to walk far to get a drink. you can sunbathe around the pools or go down to beach, where there is a bar and plenty of staff to assist. Entertainment every night. All the rooms have a sea view and are cleaned daily. There is a bus stop just outside the Hotel gates 1.5 euro and a 10 minute ride into old Side or 20 minutes into Manavgat. This was our first visit but will not be our last, we would highly recommend this venue .

This Hotel has to be the best find ever. I’ve just completed my 11th visit and for Oktoberfest and will be returning in 2027 for my 12th visit on May 27th for a fortnight, for my Birthday on the 6th June. The Hotel staff from Reservations Supervisor - reception staff - waiting staff - bar staff - spa - gardeners and all the managers, especially the food and beverage manager and night time entertainment manager are absolutely amazing. The hospitality being achieved at this hotel is absolutely fantastic. The spa has been taken over this year and I highly recommend any of the treatments. I recommend all the à la carte restaurants, including the steak restaurant which does incur a charge to dine at. If you are lucky enough to have a room with a cabana - use it. If your not and want to pay to rent it. I would say it’s worth the day if there is a few of you and want to have a day down by the sea, being waited on with drinks/ lunch/ snacks. We did and it was amazing. There are far too many staff members to mention. Who are all fantastic. They will look after you and nothing is too much trouble. If you have any questions or concerns, just ask and they can advise. During this second visit this year we spent some time round the activity pool and family pool and tbh we had a great laugh. Of course if you want quieter then go to adult pool +16 What this hotel does best is segregation of what different types of holidays may want from their holiday - lively entertainment and quieter lounge like music works - My one personal preference was that Victor and Mdu in 2024/2025 really did give off a good vibe / I loved the music round the pool and up in the piano bar. This year seemed to lack a particular vibe, but I understand as a business it’s about pleasing a wide range of customers with various styles/ likes and dislikes. This can be hard to fulfil. Great to be back and can’t wait to return. Thank you to everyone and all staff, for the great hospitality. I absolutely love this place and all the staff.
