We arrived at the Akra Sorgun on 15 September 2026 for a two week stay. We travelled with family (Brother and Sister-in-Law), who had stayed at the hotel the year before. This was our first visit to Turkey and will not be our last! Where to start........Well, we arrived around 6pm and was greeted by one of the hotel managers, who offered us a drink and then arranged for our suitcases to be taken to our rooms by one of the hotel staff. ROOMS: We had a room on the third floor of the Adult Section, which overlooked the adult only pool and the sea. The room was large, modern, clean and very well equipped. Perfect! MAIN DINING ROOM/RESTAURANTS: We had dinner in the buffet restaurant, and we were amazed at the amount of choice there was, something for everyone. The quality of the food was fantastic, and the service from the waiting staff was excellent. We also booked into the restaurants on site, an Italian, a Seafood and a Turkish restaurant, as you are entitled to use each one once per week, so we visited the three restaurants twice. Our favourite was most definitely the Turkish restaurant, although the other restaurants are really good too. You can also use the Italian and seafood restaurants at lunchtime, without a reservation. Having been to many Tui Blue hotels throughout Europe, we have never had such great food, in all the restaurants. You can also use the restaurant after closing hours, eg, if you arrived late etc, and choose from a menu. This is available 24/7. There are also two coffee shops, one that has chocolates, biscuits etc and the other serving cakes. BARS/DRINKS: Again, what can I say! All branded spirits, beers etc. All the bar staff can make cocktails and are happy to make a signature cocktail for you, once they know what sort of taste you like! Mahir (I think that's how you spell his name) in the Piano/Lounge Bar was amazing. Really friendly and funny with it! In fact all the bar staff were nice, polite and friendly. Ibrahim in the Club House Bar was such a sweetie. After our first round of drinks, he remembered our orders, not only us, but everyone else he was serving. That's the sign of a good drinks waiter! Gabriel in the Pool Bar was wonderful. He was happy to deliver drinks to your bed, whenever you wanted them and was always happy and friendly. POOL AREA/BEACH: This was my only negative of the whole holiday. My Sister-in-Law, bless her, was getting up at 6am every day, to ensure that we could have sunbeds where we wanted them. I'm not sure whether these beds would be available when we came down for breakfast at 8.45am, so to ensure we got them, she was setting her alarm to get up and put our towels on them. It seems that it's the usual game that everyone plays around the pool, putting towels down at silly o'clock, but not actually using the beds until lunchtime. I have to say that we were on our beds by 9.30am every day. We did actually see, on one of our last days, a guy who spoke to one of the members of staff to say that he had noticed that two sunbeds had had towels on them for several hours and that nobody had actually used them, so he said that if the towels were still there at 11am, he would remove them himself. The member of staff immediately removed them to allow the guy to use them. I make him 100% right. I am too old to play sunbed wars, so I hope that on my next visit (yes, I will definitely be booking for next year), the hotel has resolved this issue. Also, the sunbeds around the pool are too close together. I like to follow the sun and would be unable to do this if I sat right next to the pool. Although we never used the beach, my husband and I did swim in the sea every day. It was warm, albeit sometimes a little choppy, but nevertheless, a delight. ENTERTAINMENT: In my opinion, the entertainment leaves a lot to be desired, but It was never an issue for us. Victoria in the Piano Bar/Lounge, was pretty boring and the saxophonist didn't do it for me either! The acts on the big stage, by the Club House Bar were very hit and miss and also the live music in the Club House Bar was the same, although the rock bands, not that I am a big fan of rock music, were really good. More of them please! Although this may sound like a negative, this is just personal choice and I'm sure most people enjoyed the entertainment. STAFF: All the staff are lovely. There isn't one member of staff that I could say was anything but polite and friendly. The presence of the hotel manager was apparent, as was all the other section managers. A special thank you to the lady who cleaned our room. Sorry, I can't remember her name, but we were in Room 3314 and 3315. She did a fantastic job! To finish (sorry about the long review), we had an amazing holiday and we are now looking to book again for next year. I understand why there was so many people who have been to the Akra Sorgun on many occasions. We will definitely return!!!
Writing We had a wonderful stay at Sensatori Akra Sorgun and were really impressed with the quality of the accommodation, food and service throughout our holiday. The grounds are beautiful, immaculately maintained and provide a lovely setting for a relaxing break. The service was excellent, with attentive staff always on hand to make sure everything was perfect. The waiter service around the pools and on the beach was a fantastic touch and made the whole experience feel extra special. The food was outstanding, with excellent quality and a huge amount of choice to suit all tastes. The three à la carte restaurants were a real highlight, offering a great alternative to the main dining options. Another fantastic bonus was the 24-hour à la carte dining. As we arrived in the early hours of the morning, it was lovely to be able to get something to eat rather than having to wait until breakfast. We particularly enjoyed Olive Italian, where the food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous, which was a pleasant surprise as you can sometimes expect smaller portions in à la carte restaurants. The tiramisu was one of the best I have ever had and was a fantastic recommendation from our waiter. If there was one improvement to make, it would be to remove the strawberry and basil mousse from the dessert menu, as the texture was unpleasant and it didn't look particularly appetising. Bringing back the orange cake would be a welcome change! Our room was spacious, modern and spotlessly clean, with stunning sea views that made waking up each morning a real pleasure. Overall, Sensatori Akra Sorgun exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful surroundings and high-quality accommodation to the excellent food and attentive service, everything contributed to a fantastic holiday. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing stay and would happily return!
Well, what can I say? This will be our 9th time at this hotel. The staff, accommodation, grounds, food, and entertainment have all been 5☆. We can't say anything negative about this hotel. From the cleaning staff to the manager, everyone has been amazing, and nothing is ever too much trouble. We will be back again in October, for the 10th time, knowing that we will be met with open arms and a warm welcome. It feels like an extended family. If you're looking for a fantasy holiday, this is the place.
This was our 6th visit to this lovely hotel and it won’t be our last as we have already booked for May 2027. As always, it is the staff who make this place so special and I would like to give a special mention to Ersan our exceptionally hard working drinks man around the family pool (and congratulations to him on getting engaged). And thanks to the lovely and smiling Bahar in the main bar in the evening who made our lovely hot chocolates. Not to forget everyone in the three speciality restaurants. One thing that stands out is the team spirit and this is in part because the managers are not afraid to help their team members when needed rather than just manage. The food is always good here and our favourite is the Ocean. The entertainment is generally good and we especially enjoyed the Motown Tribute, Soul Train as well as Milades, Pinkish and the Misty Infinity Band. The Buble tribute singer has a good voice but sang less than 10 songs and chose to fill his act with “padding” and engaging with toddlers (with a start time after 9:00 p.m. surely it should be an adult focussed show? Probably the least said about the Michael Jackson dance show the better - dreadful in my opinion But overall this is remains an excellent choice of hotel and our favourite
we have just returned october 2026. the hotel is spotless and every staff member was attentive and helpful. we had a family room with seperate bedroom. it was very comfortable and clean. there was a few tired spots around the skirting's but i'm being very picky. the food was generally good. on a whole this hotel made you feel at home and i did not want to leave. thankyou for a relaxing stay.
