Tuvana Hotel

Location was super central, rooms are cozy but clean and comfortable! Loved the antique/old fashioned decor and vibe of the hotel, it had great charm. Breakfast spread was great each morning and the staff were lovely and helpful.

Tuvana Hotel is a magical oasis with historic charm right in the heart of Kaleiçi, Antalya. The Ottoman-style boutique hotel is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, and the restaurants (like Seraser) serve fantastic food. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is its extraordinary staff. At the end of our stay, my partner unexpectedly fell seriously ill. The hotel manager, Nermin Sümer, personally stepped in and recommended Yaşam Hospital, where we were wonderfully taken care of. What was supposed to be the end of our trip turned into a 3-week hospital stay. Even though we were no longer guests at the hotel, Nermin’s kindness and dedication never stopped. She kept in close contact with us and the hospital, and frequently came to visit us. On top of that, the hotel securely stored all of our luggage for weeks, and Nermin even delivered it to us personally when requested. We are finally able to go home now, but Tuvana Hotel and its incredible manager will forever hold a very special place in our hearts. If you are looking for a hotel that genuinely cares about its guests, look no further. Highly recommended!

What really stuck with my partner and me was having dinner around 8:30 pm out in the courtyard garden under the big trees. The evening air was pleasantly warm, and sitting at one of the candlelit tables beside the old stone walls made us completely forget that we were right in the middle of town. It had this very unique atmosphere where everything felt quiet and secluded after walking the streets all afternoon. We ordered the grilled sea bass with a cold bottle of white wine, and the waiter brought out warm crusty bread with local olive oil within just a few minutes. The historic stone architecture lit up at night is wonderfull, and all the lush greenery around the tables gave the whole meal a private, relaxed feel. Our room in one of the little traditional houses was tidy and comfortable, and the front desk staff arranged our morning ride without any fuss. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return next year.

Hotel seemed okay at first, but the room we were placed in was extremely noisy (with music outside until 3am) that we could not sleep at all. Thumping bass music through the walls and windows made it impossible to rest. Disappointed with the breakfast too, some of it was nice. But we were among the first there (went early as we couldn’t sleep) and some bits looked leftover from yesterday and were stale, e.g. the chocolate sauce was half dried up and looked like it had been scraped back in and lots of the cakes in the bread selection were stale.

“Historic” and “charming” equals old and rundown. We booked one of the highest category rooms, which we found small, uncomfortable and in disrepair. The bath room was very small, with a tub/shower that was dangerous to get in and out off. The handle came off the wall while trying to stabilize while entering. The air conditioner was inadequate to cool the room. The room was located above the main open air restaurant, where they played music from 7:30am until 11pm. The hotel is located next to a mosque so you will be awakened by a call to prayer at 5:30am. The hotel is difficult to get to by car as it is in the middle of Old Town, where narrow streets are organized like a maze. The hotel is on a pedestrian side street. Old Town, itself, can be completely toured in half a day. Stay by the beach and just come in by taxi and walk around. Don’t stay here. We left early and never heard from management despite showing the attached pictures to reception upon departure.
