VONRESORT Golden Coast

Very good service and very nice program in the evenings. Food and rooms were super and were very clean. Beach was very close and super with multiple bars

We are staying at the VON Resort Golden Coast from October 4th to 11th. We are outraged by the hotel's policy regarding paid imported drinks. Despite having paid for an "Ultra All-Inclusive" package, we are asked to pay cash at the lobby bar, yet the drinks are displayed without any prices listed! There is no alternative option included in the package we paid for, either! I cannot recommend this place; we feel cheated and disappointed. Another drawback is the bathrooms—the shower cabins seem designed for small people under 1.60m tall. They are cramped and uncomfortable, making proper hygiene almost impossible. In the restaurant, dirty plates are left on the tables—even after you’ve finished your main course—leaving no room for a dessert plate and coffee...

The hotel itself was good, but our experience with the hotel doctor was absolutely unacceptable and honestly felt like a tourist trap. We went to him because our 1-year-old daughter was suffering from vomiting and diarrhea. He just looked at her and he simply told us that he was not a pediatrician and that she needed to be sent to a hospital. We explained that we had travel insurance and that we would take her to a hospital ourselves. From that moment, his attitude changed completely. He became aggressive and kept insisting that HE would send us to a specific hospital because “he knew where to send us.” When we refused and repeated that we would arrange the hospital visit ourselves through our insurance, we were suddenly asked to pay €110. For what exactly? Our child had not been examined, no treatment had been provided, and we did not even receive a prescription. The most disturbing part was being told that if we agreed to go to the hospital HE recommended, we would not have to pay the €110. So apparently: go to his recommended hospital = no €110 fee. Choose your own hospital through your own travel insurance = pay €110 for a “consultation” during which your child was not even examined. We paid the €110, but the whole experience was outrageous. When parents come to a doctor with a sick 1-year-old child, they are vulnerable and looking for medical help — they should not feel pressured into choosing a particular hospital or be charged €110 after receiving essentially no medical care whatsoever. The hotel was otherwise good, but I strongly warn other tourists to BE VERY CAREFUL with the hotel medical service. Ask about the price BEFORE you even enter and do not allow yourself to be pressured into going to a particular hospital. We left feeling that we had been taken advantage of simply because we were tourists with a sick baby. Completely unacceptable.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The atmosphere was cozy, the staff were friendly, and the service was excellent. Our stay was pleasant and relaxing. We would gladly visit again!

A very high-quality hotel with an amazing and helpful staff. I would rate it 10/10. The only thing my family and I agreed on is the layout of the outdoor restaurant seating area. To get to the non-smoking section, you have to walk through the entire smoking area. It should be the other way around.
