We were there at the end of June and came back extremely satisfied. We had a superior swim-up room with a pool and a terrace, which we really enjoyed. Overall, the hotel and gardens were clean and well-maintained. Our room was cleaned every day. The food was excellent, and there was a selection of several dishes to choose from every day. The same goes for the desserts. The beach was clean, and we had no trouble finding sun loungers—there were always some available. The hotel staff were accommodating and friendly. I recommend everyone visit and give it a try. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Yalihan Aspendos Hotel, and overall we would definitely recommend it. The greatest strength of this hotel is, without question, the staff. Every single member of the team was friendly, welcoming, attentive and genuinely cared about the guests. From reception and housekeeping to the restaurant and bar staff, everyone made us feel valued throughout our stay. The level of service was exceptional. The hotel was also immaculately clean. Our room, the restaurants, the pool area and all common areas were maintained to a very high standard. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, and the minibar was regularly refilled with quality drinks. The cocktails were excellent, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was calm, relaxing and perfect for a holiday. There are, however, a few areas where the hotel could improve. The buffet was always fresh, well prepared and tasty, but after several days the lunch and dinner selection became somewhat repetitive. We would also have appreciated a wider selection of healthy options, fresh salads and lighter dishes. Another area that could be improved is guest information. Compared with other resort hotels we have visited, information was rather limited. At times we found ourselves having to figure things out on our own. More information about the hotel facilities, daily activities, transportation, the local area and recommended excursions would make the experience even better, especially for first-time visitors. One moment during our stay deserves special mention. Both of us became ill with what appeared to be a stomach bug. We have no idea what caused it, and we are not suggesting it was related to the hotel. However, the staff noticed that we were unwell and surprised us with a thoughtful "Get Well Soon" gift delivered to our room. It was completely unexpected and showed genuine kindness and compassion. Small gestures like this say a great deal about the people working here. Finally, although it is outside the hotel's control, we hope the local authorities continue working to improve the cleanliness of the sea. Some afternoons there was quite a bit of floating debris in the water, which unfortunately affected the swimming experience. Overall, Yalihan Aspendos is a hotel with exceptional staff, outstanding cleanliness and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. While there are a few areas that could be improved, the genuine hospitality of the entire team made our holiday a memorable one. Thank you to everyone at Yalihan Aspendos for your kindness and care. We would gladly return in the future.

The hotel itself is clean, well maintained and the facilities are in good condition, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars rather than 1. Unfortunately, the food completely ruined our holiday. During our stay, we met around 10 guests, including ourselves, who became seriously ill with what appeared to be food poisoning. We spent much of the week worried about what was safe to eat and ended up sticking to only a handful of options. What concerned us most was the food handling. We saw food being mixed with fresh batches, and seafood left out in the heat for long periods, with some of it not even kept on ice. From what we observed, some of the practices did not appear to meet the standard you would expect from an all-inclusive hotel. I’ve attached photos of some of what we witnessed. The à la carte restaurant options were also disappointing. There are three restaurants on site: seafood, steak and Italian. However, both the steak and Italian restaurants require an additional payment, leaving the seafood restaurant as the only included option. Given many people are understandably cautious about eating seafood while on holiday, particularly after seeing the food handling elsewhere in the resort, this felt like a poor offering. We were also disappointed with the entertainment. Apart from one evening, it was mostly live music, which we didn’t think was particularly good. There was very little variety throughout the week, and there wasn’t a schedule available for guests, so it was difficult to know what was happening each day or plan our evenings. One thing that also made the stay more difficult was the language barrier. It felt like the hotel mainly catered for Dutch and German guests, which is absolutely fine, but we found communication quite challenging as many of the staff we spoke to had very limited English. Even simple requests often became stressful. Ironically, many people we met outside the hotel spoke better English than the staff working there. We also found many of the staff to be quite dismissive when we asked questions or requested assistance. Rather than feeling welcomed, it often felt like we were inconveniencing them, which had a noticeable impact on our overall experience. What disappointed us even more was how little flexibility there was from the hotel. Our friends got engaged during the holiday, and we wanted to surprise them by decorating their room. We asked if the hotel could provide a few rose petals or some flowers to go alongside the decorations we’d already arranged, but we were told we’d have to pay €15 to €20 for what felt like a very small gesture. It seemed like a missed opportunity to help create a memorable moment for guests. Finally, the beach wasn’t what we expected. The sea was quite murky and didn’t feel particularly clean during our stay. The sand also became so hot during the day that it was almost impossible to walk on barefoot, making it difficult to enjoy the beach without shoes. It’s a real shame because the hotel itself has a lot of positives, but when you don’t feel confident eating the food, communication is difficult, the staff often come across as dismissive, the entertainment is limited and even simple requests are handled without much flexibility, it overshadows everything else. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and not somewhere we would choose to return to unless there were significant improvements.
