Akra Didim Resort & Spa

Fantastic holiday – would definitely return! First of all the adult pool where we spent most of our time, really nice views and a relaxing vibe including the swim up bar. We also want to say thank you to Efe and Ramazan at the pool bar, who were always so friendly and welcoming, ready to pour our next drink The buffet restaurant were great, with lots of choice and plenty of different food available of a high quality The entertainment team were amazing. Everyone was so friendly and always took the time to chat to us, which really made the atmosphere feel welcoming. The shows were also some of the best we’ve seen at a hotel — really professional, fun and engaging. You could tell how much effort they put into their performances, special mention to Esma and Freya who always took the time to speak to us. Our room had a beautiful sea view and was lovely and comfortable. The hotel itself has amazing facilities, with so many different places to sit and relax. We especially loved having lots of indoor, air-conditioned areas where we could enjoy a cocktail, coffee or a snack when it was too hot outside. Salkım Restaurant & Bar was definitely a highlight for us. The setting was beautiful and the food was probably some of the best we’ve eaten during a hotel stay. The spa was also beautiful, with lots of facilities and different areas to relax. We really liked that there were separate areas for adults and families. Overall, we had such a great holiday. The staff, entertainment, food, rooms and facilities were all fantastic, and we would definitely come back again!

We emailed the hotel to ask if we could come and visit as we were staying at a nearby hotel and were considering booking Akra Didim for next year. The communication was timely and we were able to visit within a day or so. The hotel looks absolute incredible and we are looking to book as soon as possible. Wanted to aknowledge the amazing service we received from Berke who was kind enough to show us around and give us a buggy tour. He was very knowledgeable about the hotel, the overall concept and special features and showed us areas which were of particles interest (eg arts and culture village etc). This is a hotel to definitely keep an eye on! Hoping to book very soon!

For context we have stayed at many 5 star hotels in Turkey (Hotel Lujo, Anda Barut, Acanthus and Cennet, Sensatori Fethiye and Liberty Signa). For us this hotel sits right up there with the best of those we have visited. The hotel is large but well laid out (a few more signs might help though)! There are many pool areas and restaurants available with all facilities being identified on the Akra app which also includes all activities for the coming week. We opted for a week in an Adults Area swimup room and was very happy with our choice. The room was one of the biggest we have stayed in, clean and well equipped with mini bar, toiletries, sun loungers and even a chaise longue in a shaded seating area on the terrace. All drinks we have during our stay were branded (Hendricks, Smirnoff, etc.) although to be fair the cocktails were a bit hit and miss. We ate in the buffet restaurant several times, Incir once and Salkim three times. Although the quality was good in all restaurants our favourite was Salkim and a special shout out to our waiter Ali who served us all 3 times and could not do enough for us (thank you Ali from Dave and Jackie). Other than the absolutely minor quibble about the cocktails there's not really anything we would change here. The only big point to make for people considering visiting is, as has been previously mentioned on other reviews, this is not a party hotel with lots of things going on, it's definitely a chilled vibe (which is what we wanted) so if you want something a bit livelier I would suggest this is probably not the place for you. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back, so thanks to all the staff at Akra Didim as you made our holiday, particularly our favourite waiter Ali as mentioned above. We stayed in two rooms as a family of four. Although the property itself is new and modern, the rooms were spotless, and the sea was calm, the management and service were an absolute disaster. Despite making a significant investment for a week-long stay, we were unable to secure a reservation at even a single à la carte restaurant throughout our holiday. The staff's indifferent, "take it or leave it" attitude and the unhelpful management completely ruined our vacation experience. We definitely do not recommend this place to families.

Yes, this is the place to be recommended. This hotel is different level, spacious, design, environment, swimming pools, services, food etc. worth mention a waiter looked after as almost every night in the main restaurant “Mehmet” will definitely comeback and recommended.
