Hapimag Sea Garden Bodrum

A beautiful resort with amazing facilities, very clean, extremely friendly staff, but atrocious restaurants- the worst I’ve ever been too, where the food is repeated day after day and in the breakfast buffet I hesitate to say the food is from previous days. Even if it were it isn’t dressed to appear fresh. The kitchen of the 2 half board guests needs a 100% revamp.

My husband and I visited HapiMag and had a wonderful experience. The accommodations were incredible. The sea and deck were so calming and beautiful. The food was good and plentiful; and the wait staff, especially Pelin, Ceren, and İpek were amazing. They even helped me practice my Turkish and were so lovely. Thank you for an outstanding experience!!

We chose this location and hotel as what we thought would be a quiet and peaceful place to go. It’s sold on tranquility, five star hospitality, food, accommodation etc. we were also sold on the all inclusive plus with free minibar stocked daily etc. what we got was not what we expected. We must have been some of the only English people there, with a hotel tailored to German, Russian and Turkish guests mainly. The only meals we enjoyed were the lunches, breakfast was poor, and dinner we skipped mainly due to poor quality and poor choices. Deserts look good but had absolutely no taste or pleasure in trying. Swimming pools state no smoking, but they do nothing to discourage people from smoking in the pool areas, restaurants or general area. The room air conditioning barely worked even when reducing to the lowest temperature. There we no real areas to chill out, only the bedroom. The selling points include watersports and tranquility, but neither of them were there. Watersports were in a totally different area which was a 1/2hr walk away in a different resort. The bar area(cocktail bar) by the beach wasn’t really a cocktail bar. Whilst it’s funny when you first arrive that their spirit measures were 2/3 spirit to 1/3 mixer, it became a challenge to stop them from over making them so strong you couldn’t drink it. A rum and coke was un drinkable unless you got an extra coke and mixed yourself. The minivillage Bodrum had the same issues with the alcohol mixtures as well as charging in some of the shops (ice cream) as we thought this was part of the all inclusive. There’s no information from the reception on where thing are, we found out there was a supermarket in the village, not the resort which is tailored to 2500 people in the time shares, who also over populate the mini village when there’s live music. The live music/entertainment was good, the discos were awful, same music every night far too loud as you can’t hear anything 100m away to have a conversation. We didn’t bother with the alacarte booking as we found from other guests that it wasn’t worth it, the food definitely wasn’t ala carte. Ala carte is only provided in 1 restaurant the Merhaba which is a street restaurant in the village. If you wanted to go anywhere else’s it was around £150 for a couple and definitely not worth that sort of money for mediocre food. We certainly wouldn’t recommend this as a five star resort, also wouldn’t go back there again. Not worth what we paid and expected.

The lack of bidet sprayers in the toilets in our room has caused us considerable inconvenience during our last two stays.
