Maxsea Beach Hotel

Perfect location for retired couples and those who admire a beautiful sunset but don’t mind listening to blaring music from 10am to 11pm from neighbouring hotels and the bar, with limited activities and sights close at hand, access to a very small beach for hotel use with sun beds and umbrellas. More of a sandpit than a beach. An overpriced convenience store was right next door for those who couldn’t or didn’t want to walk to town. The hotel pool was small and needed maintenance. The steps in and out were barely held in the ground and some of the tiles were sharp with uncovered filters at the bottom of the pool. The staff seem very inexperienced, everything about the facilities offered here are poor, the cleaners did their best, they came round daily with fresh towels and bedding. For an all inclusive holiday we were really disappointed by the accommodation. Our room was small basic and in need of repairs, we had the smallest of grubby balconies overlooking what appeared to be the other half of this hotel from many years ago. It was rotten and run down and housed hotel staff from around the area, it was noisy and dirty and overlooked a disused swimming pool full of rubbish, we did get a slight sea view if we looked past the eyesore. We had a triple wardrobe which as we opened one of the doors fell off and it contained, 2 hangers! I had to lay on the floor to set the fridge to cold as it was warm when we arrived, our most disappointing part was the en-suite. The door frame was rotten, the ceiling disgusting, the toilet smelly with the cistern dislodged. The shower head was unable to stay on the wall and as the doors didn’t meet, constantly soaked the marble floor making it a real hazard as you got out the shower. The shower head constantly dripped and seeped out the poorly sealed shower area making the floor look even more grim. We had a limited selection of local food and drinks. Mealtimes were shocking. Little to no variation and very poor quality and not kept warm or covered. Breakfast was the same everyday, lunch appeared to be the freshest meal of the day and dinner definitely contained some of lunchtimes left overs. Salad items and deserts had no coverings and were surrounded by fruit flies.( Very off putting to move salad tongs and a swarm of flies come out the bowl.) Thank god for bread, it was the safest option, not that you could even toast it as that was another non existent facility. To sum up, the hotel should be 1 * the food should be avoided, but the sea view and sunset is amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was incredibly friendly and always ready to help. The breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options, and the location was very convenient for getting around. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again!

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The staff were remarkably welcoming and attentive from check-in to check-out. Our room was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfast offered a great variety of fresh options. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Great location by the sea, close to the town center, polite staff willing to help, excellet sea view all day during breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! Id go back when I have a chance
