Definitely not a 5 star resort!!! food was absolutely disgusting, except for the jacket potato but don’t have the beans as they will crack a tooth .no ice cream till dinner time. Found the staff to be miserable .the day time activities were non existent and night time entertainment was not much better. the one thing I will say is the resort is spotless they are forever cleaning so top marks for that!!! the room was a decent size beds were ok slept fine.pillows a bit hard but done the job the beach is behind the hotel a few minutes walk it has to be the most disgusting beach I have ever been on .full of cigarette butts all over the sand . Marmaris harbour a good 20/25 minutes walk but plenty of shops near the hotel including a McDonald’s and a big grocery store buses are super cheap used my debit card to tap on a bus from the hotel down to marmaris in English money cost 36 pence so cheap and cheerful tho they drive like lunatics so hang on tight!!!!!! will honestly say I will never go back to marmaris it was a major letdown the beach the food etc Alayna was way nicer and cleaner but that’s just my opinion.

Returned home this morning after a 1 week stay at Grand Ideal Premium. We are a well travelled family of 4 with two early teens. Would I stay here again NO! Here is why: asked for close together double rooms before travel (ignored) asked for a fuss for hubby's 40th (ignored) asked for a room upgrade, paid - ignored. Food - i can't say anything positive about it for a so called 5 star hotel, had this been a 3 star hotel I'd of half expected a lack of diverse culinary offerings, the cold mash, yoghurt soup and watery stews meant we were eating out daily, costing around £150 a day that we hadn't budgeted for, marmaris is EXTORTIONATE for a foreign country that is in need of tourism and updating/cleaning i have attached two sample menus, from the local area (60 TLR is £1 approx) I've never been to a 5 star resort that doesn't offer ice creams through the day for kids or common cocktails like a pina colada or a mojito. Signs around pool say no inflatables, the pools full of the with one lifeguard sat on his phone behind the slide! Day time entertainment is as and when, no routine. Now the lifts! One lift per block, several Incidents of it dropping with guests in it, the emergency call wasn't answered. On site hairdressers- agree one price, try doing other procedures (tip- pay before treatment) rained twice, gazebo leaks in - no lounge bars opened to get guests inside. £50 to keep room on for 4 hours. Positives - beds changed daily, bar staff helpful and happy to fill up own cups, flasks etc. Room had slight sea view with pool view. Room comfortable. I wouldn't return the expectations of a five star resort was high, this place is borderline a 3 star! The lifts, food and drinks menus need serious attention for this hotel to thrive. The rooms are dated/holes in walls/shower screens hanging off and stink of sewage. The air-conditioning is FREEZING!!! Not a five star, and feeling a tad mis sold. The negatives totally outweighed the positives and ruined our holiday. We have stayed in 3 stars in Turkey that have been much better.
