Liberty Hotels Lykia Family

This was our 3rd visit to this resort and we have really enjoyed our visits. This time though, through no fault of the resort directly we found flaws which have having read through previous reviews have been raised but not answered/addressed by the Resort Management. Basically it rained, and when I say rained it poured and poured for days (you can see the flood videos online) When it rains there is very little in the way of indoor space. There is no indoor pool, the restaurant is semi outside, many seats are out in the open. Water cascading off the roof into the restaurant area, dodging the waterfalls. The evening entertainment stops because it's all outside. The areas become overwhelmed with water and very slippery so the areas that are undercover/indoors get wet very quickly and staff have to push water away. There seems little/inadequate drainage around the areas frequently used. Walking from then rooms to the reception area was treacherous on occasion. Many lights on the room blocks didn't work and it was pitch black on wet and slippery outside stair cases. I called reception who sent someone to reset the lights. A resort of this stature needs think about such events and what can be done to better accommodate guests and families who didn't have anywhere to go. I hope some investment will be made in areas highlighted. Moving on, as I have said apart from the above we cannot fault the staff, food, accommodation, water park. All of which were excellent. The resort is clean and very picturesque. Well kept gardens and plants. There are 2 new Padel Courts which are fun and bats/rackets for this and the tennis courts can be hired for a fee. The top pool is heated or partially heated but the water park pools and main lower pools are freezing cold to the point you don't want to go in (unless it's 40'c in the height of Summer). All in all if you get a good week of weather you'll be fine but if it tips it down you'll be at a loss as to what to do. I sincerely hope Liberty will see that an indoor pool and covered areas are needed for events like the one experienced last week. I think for us as a family looking back we've had it so good here previously we didn't expect the weather to be so bad but when booking our next break will look for a resort with an indoor pool and indoor entertainment area in the event we get the same rains. My tips if going here:- Shop on site is very limited so if you have creature comforts take them with you. No chemist/pharmacy on site so take the basic pills/remedies. Drink bottled water. Take a wet suit to offset the chills of the pool water. Don't take expensive swimwear as the slides rip your cozzies (my Mrs has had 2 ripped now on slides) Take a taxi into Oludeniz or Hisaronou for gifts. Do the Babadag Cable Car and take your camera for spectacular views on a clear day. Thank you.

We went there at October half term 2025 for the third time and it was much better with renovated rooms. The sea at this hotel is the best. Food is excellent due to their attention to kitchen staff and ingredients. Family rooms are spacious and comfortable. Water park is great fun for teenagers and !adults! Staff are superb and friendly. Having been there three times, it didn’t disappoint. Superb sunsets!

Wow what a hotel and amazing location! This was definitely one of our favourite hotels from start to finish all staff were great. Food was delicious and plenty of choice, hotel kept very clean at all times so much for children of all ages to do including the fan waterpark and evening entertainment- would we go again - most definitely

We stayed here in April 2026 Absolutely amazing!! We would not stay anywhere else in the Ölüdeniz area again (after trying a different 5* nearby) Everything you could ever want from a 5* holiday. Clean, amazing staff, incredible facilities, great rooms literally couldn’t fault it. We had a partial sea view room, and it really was only partial, so I think it’s worth paying the extra for a sea view. The food was absolutely 10/10! So much choice every single night, and no meals were the same. There was more than one fresh cooking station, including sushi (I LOVE sushi!) The chicken at the snack bar was literally like KFC, which was amazing for teens! It was so nice not to feel like you’d spent the whole week eating rubbish and end up bloated and craving something healthy. The drinks were incredible, too! All branded alcohol, and the cocktails were exactly what you’d expect a cocktail to be no guessing what you’re going to get! On occasion, we even asked the staff to whip us up their favourite cocktails, which they happily did. They were served in cute, appropriate cocktail glasses, not just plastic cups, which I thought was a lovely touch. Staff were incredibly helpful! Spa had a stunning view, beach was great although we spent most our time at the water park as the pool is heated. The waterpark is a short walk up a hill, or there are shuttles running constantly back and forth. Cannot wait to return!!

I have really mixed feelings about Lykia, we are still here at the hotel and wanted to post a review before we get home back to the UK. The hotel is huge, with lots to do if the weather is good.. the weather turned in our last few days and as everything here is outside, it becomes very slippery and unsafe, especially in the main restaurant. Check in was poor, no information about the hotel whatsoever, just taken straight to our room. The room was dated, no sun on the small balcony at all and the electricity cut off every day at 5.30 for between 5-10 minutes. Good size however and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The food here is hit and miss. Some days amazing but other days struggling to find something different to eat. I really disliked the ’canteen metal covers’ but understand this does keep food hotter, it’s just really of putting when in a 5 star hotel. Service is great, very attentive and well staffed. We ate in the Italian which was amazing but only because the main al a carte was closed the first day we arrived which was really disappointing. This wasn’t advertised, nor were we told when we checked in. The Sports bar is also closed. The beach and heated pool at the top is beautiful, shame the main pool on resort isn’t heated as there were barely anyone in there.. such a waste of a beautiful space. Finally, and the highlight of the holiday is the football academy and coach… he is INCREDIBLE with the kids. There are definitely much better true 5 star resorts in Turkey, and I’d give this a 3/5. Overall a good holiday but I wouldn’t come back.
