Hotel Roma Beach Resort & Spa

This hotel is 99% German guests were the only English couple for 11 days of our 2 week holiday. All the staff spoke German or Dutch but couldn't understand English words such as cola, sprite, towel or water. The food in the main restaurant was disgusting and all the "hot food" was cold as were the fried eggs on a morning. None of the foods had any allergen information on and there was no vegan options, the vegetarian option was a dish of fried veg, and the "diet option" consisted of boiled potatoes and rice EVERY night. The Germans seemed to all get the rooms with bigger balconies, whereas us and another couple who came at the end of our holiday were put in a room with a balcony I can only describe as a shelf. We came to this hotel 2 years ago with none of these problems, but it definitely is now not a 5 star hotel, I would rate it as at a push 3 star. I have never in my life felt intimidated at a hotel, but what with the germans staring and walking into us and the staff avoiding us so they didn't have to speak to us it was very isolating and intimidating.

This hotel is not for brits they are all German,Russian ect. The food is not for brits , its outdated but lovely views from beach and balcony depending where you are. Tui should never suggest this type of hotel knowing itz all for foreigners. Dissapointed.

Booked holiday package with TUI - found out upon arrival that the hotel was catered solely for German guests despite being no mention of that on the TUI website. Hard to communicate with Staff due to language barrier as they are trained to communicate with German guests- on last night a member of the party came down with sickness and could not stop being sick after eating from the main restaurant

Entertainment poor just very loud music until early hours. If you upgrade to a sea view etc you can hear the music until it stops as the doors do not cut it out so very noisy and expect no sleep until 12-30 Ask for Mountain View as at back of hotel. Hotel has several single sex groups, mainly men who and boisterous what was a wonderful experience for older people is now turning into a rave hotel. If you want this great if not do not go

The staff at this hotel are excellent and very helpful, some struggle with English but do their best nevertheless, a few words of Turkish go a very long way! We were really put off after we read some reviews but are happy we ignored them. It should be noted this hotel is owner operated and not some soulless corporate monolith, consequently the service is excellent as is the hygiene and general chilled out vibe. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby and around the pool otherwise €2 a day. Fresh made and filled flatbreads yum! Mainly German clientele but in my experience these guys do not tolerate substandard and if you make conversation they are excellent company.
