Riolavitas Spa and Resort

Upon arrival, the reception area was pleasant, and the room was clean, large, and acceptable. However, it all went downhill from there. Advertising has a 5 star hotel i just can't see why and how this was awarded that . (DRINKS) No brandy, no spiced rum, limited prosecco, and bailey's also no ice at times, only 2 out of 4. Coffee machines working you would expect more from a 5 star (FOOD) Breakfast was a joke. Most of the hot selection wasn't hot and not anything else much more to choose from. Other meal times weren't any different, just repetitive and bland. The snack bar wasn't any better unless you liked kid food like burgers and nuggets. (SERVICE) There is no drinks service around the pool area and lobby bars . The staff aren't very friendly and don't seem interested. (OVERALL) We have been lucky enough to stay in some amazing 5-star hotels around the world, and I can honestly say that this hotel doesn't meet the 5 star standards. In my opinion, this hotel shouldn't be graded any higher than a 3 star after taking into account all the above reasons.

Had yo change the mattresses as so uncomfortable. 2nd mattress slightly better. Waited a week to get light fixed in room. Beware or the rep called Ali Mohamid. Sold us a trip that he said was wheelchair friendly snd totally wasn"t. Could get on the boat with the wheelchair or walk around the zoo. Asked for money back before the trip as we rrad reviews but he insisted it was ok. Refusing to answer any texts now. Also lied about what was included in the price...avoid him...

No clue where Tui get 5 star rating from! 4/3.5 star at best! Disappointing stay! No restaurant cleaning, no table drinks service even at night, had to get own cutlery most of the time, took ages to clear tables, rarely cleaned tables, general swamp area stinks, mosquitos/flies everywhere, got bit to death, bad layout of hotel so no sun on pools, muddy section not very nice, spa massage average, left all doors open so very noisy, hotel in general noisy, staff seen smoking several times inside hotel, food all the same, one theme night in a whole week, a lot of rude German guests, beach miles away just a pain, won’t be back! Staff service awful in general, slow/miserable, except beach boy guy who was so funny! Charge for safe. Some positive things: room hairdryer, some branded drinks eg Absolut Vodka. Room cleaning was fine, can’t fault that.

Great location. Shuttle picks you up from the hotel and drops you off right at the beach. On the beach, it is all inclusive just like the hotel - drinks and food. Sunbeds are all free with shade if needed. There were lots of people leaving towels on the beds but there was someone walking around and removing them if they had been left for 20 minutes. We always got a sunbed, no matter what time we got to the beach, which was great. The restaurant is very busy (even in October) and a lot of people pushed in and were rude. I could have mentioned it to staff but we were outnumbered in nationality so ddn't think it was worth it. Reception staff were extremely friendly. Shuttle buses were outside every 15 minutes to take us to places. I would rate this as a 4 star maximum. The mini bar is stocked daily with water, fanta, and coke. The tops are hard to get off and there is no tool to get them off and we could see that people had used the worktop to bash them off. The wine (in my opinion) is quite acidic, so better to go for the beer or shorts. This hotel is a long way from Antalya airport, so bear that in mind if you don't like a long journey with lots of stops along the way. We arrived early hours and didn't get to our hotel until 3 in the morning. Comng back, we had to be picked up just before 9 am, and our flight wasn't until 2:30 pm. Not too bad, but just a long journey. Beach is absolutely stunning. Staff all attentive and fun. Food was plentiful but not my favourite as I am vegetarian and the vegetables were all mixed together with onions and peppers. I would have preferred carrots, peas, etc separate. Couldn't believe there were chips, broccoli and stews at breakfast, but maybe some people like that. The coffee machine serves cappuccinos, Americanos, and the coffee is tasty. There is a juice machine too and herbal teas, so a good choice. The staff in general spoke to us in German. When we said we were English, they did struggle a bit. I tried my best to help out as I can speak some German. The hotel staff assume you are German until you say you are English. The translations are from Turkish into German on the whole. Nobody told me that Euros were the preferred currency. We took Lira and they accepted their own currency but always gave us the price in Euros. Maybe I should have done my research, and next time I will take Euros as all the shops want Euros, the taxis want Euros and so does the airline we flew on. Overall, a lovely hotel, but I will go nearer Side Old Town if I went again.

I stayed here for 10 days and was sceptical given the recent reviews, however, I would have nothing bad to say about the hotel, staff are lovely, hotel is modern, house keepers turn up everyday to freshen the rooms and re stock the mini bar The food is typical of an all inclusive, and can become repetitive but lots of variety, rooms have minor wear and tear in the bathroom but nothing more that cosmetic. Overall rooms are lovely, large and modern, entertainment I found useful, shop of site is good and the man who works there is always pleasant. Short bus into town which is worth a visit. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would like the thank the staff for making it all possible
