Amber Hotel Istanbul

Firstly they did not have our rooms upon arrival - så we were put in a cheap hotel a bit further Down the street for one night. The next night we god one ordinary room - and one had to sleep in abvery noisy damp room between the reception and elevator Forst on the third night did we have the 2 rooms we booked and paíd for The rooms were small and run Down. Television not connected, aircondition not working and in one of the rooms only cold water in the shower However they were decently cleaned - the área fine close to all attractions and the staff friendly

It’s a two-star hotel (at best)—provided you don’t mind not getting a wink of sleep because of those blasted terrace chairs making noise late into the night, don’t care much about cleanliness, and are the type of person who barely eats breakfast. Seriously... don't even think about staying in this dump.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The evening receptionist (young man with glasses, sorry! forgot his name) was lovely, and Yakub on morning reception was excellent too. Would definitely recommend! Very close to blue mosque,Hagia Sophia, Taksim square and all places you wish to see! Galta tower is 2 hour walk but I enjoyed the walk there and back. Yakub suggested a Bosporus tour was great

We arrived in the early evening to find a lone gentleman behind the bare counter at reception loudly exchanging opinions with a group of 16. It would appear that the group had only booked 5 rooms but they disagreed with that. In addition we were told that two resident guests had been wrongly expectyed to have left that day but were booked to leave the following day. After about an hour of a waoit we were "upgraded" to another hotel which we found to be perfectly satuisfactory but the organisation at this one left a lot to be desired. Obviously we saw nothing of the Hotel itself.

Comfortable stay at Amber Hotel old city, Reception staff is very helpful and friendly. delicious breakfast on the rooftop, rooms are clean and fairly new. beds and pillows are comfortable. 10min walk to the tram station/grand bazar Our first two nights they offered us LG floor rooms which were in a bad condition and really dark with some funny smell. we could not sleep properly.
