Celal Sultan

I had an incredible stay at the Celal Sultan Hotel and cannot recommend it enough! From the moment you walk into the lobby, you are greeted with a warm, welcoming ambiance that beautifully balances traditional Turkish charm with a sleek, welcoming aesthetic. The highlight for me was the absolute spotless cleanliness of the entire property. The interiors are incredibly well-maintained—from the cozy common areas and lovely library nook to the guest rooms. The housekeeping staff does a phenomenal job; the room felt fresh every single day with pristine bedding and a crisp, tidy presentation. It makes coming back to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing an absolute pleasure. Speaking of sightseeing, you truly cannot beat this location. It is perfectly tucked away on a quiet street, yet literally steps away from everything. The Sultanahmet tram station is just a short 5-minute walk away, making it incredibly easy to navigate the rest of Istanbul. Iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and Topkapi Palace are all within a few minutes' walking distance. You don't even need to think about ordering a taxi to see the historic heart of the city. An extra bonus is their fantastic rooftop terrace. Having a morning coffee or an evening drink up there while taking in the stunning panoramic views of the Hagia Sophia and the Bosphorus was unforgettable. The breakfast buffet was also fresh and offered a wonderful variety to start the day. Between the perfect location, the pristine interiors, and the remarkably attentive, helpful staff, Celal Sultan is an absolute gem. I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Istanbul!

Very central location. Staff very helpful and friendly. We arranged a taxi to and from Istanbul airport (€50 each way) through the hotel, which was very helpful, with reassuring text messages and a video sent by WhatsApp. Ensuite room was clean and comfortable with air con and a balcony. Ability to leave our cases there during the day we checked out was very accommodating. Breakfast was a bit so-so, no fresh fruit, mostly sugary cereals (except oats) provided; plenty salad foods if that's what you're in to. Would recommend it.

The hotel staff, especially the manager Kerem and the rest of the team, were incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely went out of their way to make me happy and comfortable during my stay. Although I had to leave earlier than planned, they continued to be exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Their warmth, professionalism, and care were truly appreciated, and I am very grateful for everything they did.”
