Gorrion Hotel Istanbul

This was the Hotel which was provided by our airlines during our layover in Istambuk. This hotel marked as 5 stars hotel, but it’s doesn’t. The lobby, food, rooms & amenities inside the room more fit 4 start max, but not 5 stars for sure. We had 2 rooms with king bed and 2 double beds. Basic like shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were provided in a little tiny containers from unknown brand. Bathrooms were small. Shower cabin only had half glass wall and other part was empty. It would be logical to have a sliding glass door to prevent water getting into the bathroom floor. Rooms had basic slippers and towels, water, instant coffee & black tea with sugar. We had lunch included into stay which was a set meal. Drink, bread, sort of kebab which was likely warmed up vs freshly prepared + dessert. Very pale and without any taste. To be fair reception staff was pleasant, same as at the restaurant. But don’t be full to expect 5 star hotel here. It’s OK for a short stay be there flights. Pls note that hotel is about 40-45 min away by car from the Blue mosque, if you are planing to go to the city.

I visited this hotel for a few hours due to a missed connection in Istanbul. The room was offered by Turkish Airlines. The rooms are really good and comfortable. I didn't try any of the restaurants. They have a really good SPA with good massage services. The location is somehow good but not the best in Istanbul. Close to Florya Mall where you can spend a good time there

Missed a connecting flight and Turkish Airlines sent us to this 5-star hotel. The location is a bit outside the city center in Yeni Bosna. We arrived at 2 a.m. and the service opened the shop so I could buy cigarettes. You find here all the things you expect to be there. In general I would say it is more of conference kind of hotel

I have recently returned home from a 10 night stay at The Gorrion Hotel, this was a package deal which I got with Qunomedical to get my Rhinoplasty surgery. I loved the hotel and the friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was delicious, I enjoyed my coffee every morning :). Also, I would ask the chefs for some fresh fried dough ( taste like donuts) and they were so kind and always made me a plate full. The reception staff were always helpful, anytime we needed things they would assist us happily. They also have 2 rooms in the hotel with a variety of gifts like fridge magnets, keyrings, bracelets, foreign plugs and more! There is also a separate restaurant a la carte, which you can pay there and then or add to your room until the end of your stay. The food and drinks in there were delicious! Our favourite's were the Margarita Pizza, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Creme bru le desert and we also got them to make us a bowl of mixed Ice cream because it was so nice! The bar/restaurant staff were really kind and welcoming. The hotel rooms are beautiful and always stocked up with water, tea, coffee, body wash etc. The cleaners came around every day. The hotel spa/ swimming pool/sauna and steam room is so relaxing, clean and the staff were lovely and shown us around it. We didn't use the gym but that also looked nice. There are shows within walking distance for your general bits and bobs. We went to the beach one day its more of a harbour, little sand area, nice cafe - only 10 minutes in a taxi (150-200 lira = £6). Lovely day out. We also visited the Grand azaar in centre of Istanbul which had lots of gifts and lovely experience (30-40 mins in taxi 400 lira (£12-13) however, be aware when getting a taxi back to the hotel from the Grand Bazaar they all qoute you double/tripple the price and dont put there meters on. To get home we paid 900 lira (£30).

Terrible room design, no actual cleaning of room, no fresh air possibility, no tv channel enough, it must have at least one working music channel…. I will not visit this hotel again. No need to vaste time to review more.. thats enough I think.
