Grand Yavuz Hotel

Check in was quick, Ahmet was extremely pleasant and helpful with our group’s many pieces of luggage. The room was clean, kettle for tea, daily water. The shower was super; hot water and good water pressure. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast offered plenty of options and servers kept items stocked and clean.

We stayed at the Grand Yavuz for 2 nights for free as part of the Turkish Air stopover program and then paid for a third night on our own. The room for the stopover was so tiny that it didn't even have a chair or luggage rack. The bathroom did not have any toilet paper. We upgraded to a suite that we paid for for the third night and the bathroom didn't have any soap. On a positive note the complimentary breakfast was excellent. The staff were pleasant and tried to be as helpful as they could. If you have to pay for all 3 nights you should look elsewhere.

No idea why this hotel gets only 3.5 stars. We stayed here as part of the Turkish Airlines stopover program. The location was convenient and safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean. Beds were comfortable. The shower was lovely. They provided a crib free of charge. I'm really not sure what other people are looking for in a hotel? It is a typical large hotel with nice rooms.
