Grand Yavuz Hotel

The most amazing experience, close to all the great attractions within a 5km radius. Nice food at the hotel, great service from the staff. I have fallen in love with Istanbul and I have lost my heart here, I will soon be back

We stayed here as part of the Stopover in Istanbul program by Turkish airlines. If you fly with Turkish Airlines and if we take a stopper in Turkey, Istanbul, 1 free hotel night stay in Istanbul While one night was free we took another night at our own cost. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The guest relations was also helpful and informed us about the several places where we could visit. Although our flight arrival was in morning and we reached the airport much before the check in time, they allotted the rooms and we could quickly go for the sight seeing. the rooms were slightly small and hotel also old, but it was very comfortable Most of the sightseeing place are at walking distance, 1.7 km for Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern. The hotel is in the central place called Sultanahmet but you need to know that the area has very steep roads and cobble stone streets. It is also close to the Grand Bazaar area about 10 minutes. And less than 1 km from the stop points for the tram which is very popular and easy to travel. We can straightaway swipe the credit card. The view from the top view from their restaurant was also great but the restaurant was only partly functional when we went.

We stayed at the Grand Yavuz as part of the Turkish Airlines stopover program and it was great. We arranged a 54 hours layover and were able to see many of the downtown sites. The location couldn't be better as it was a few minutes walk to the Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern and transit. The staff were great and helpful, the hotel was clean and friendly and the Turkish Bath at the spa was great! I would highly recommend the Grand Yavuz hotel.

Friendly staff, central location with great view from 7th floor rooftop bar. Rooms are small. Breakfast average, coffee not good 😐

This is an older style hotel that is in a great location . 10 mins walk to the Blue Mosque etc. and even a small supermarket only 7 mins away and a laundromat across the road. Perfect. The area felt safe for our family to walk around. The hotel has a Hammam in the basement that is new and very clean and a surprisingly good rooftop bar with really good meals. The buffet breakfast needs some fine tuning to give a few western food options.
