Nidya Hotel Galataport

No reply for the multiple emails to the hotel concerning upcoming wrong days on the voucher Me and my wife are flying from US to Hong Kong and back from Singapore to US via Turkish airlines. We are using Turkish airline voucher to stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, the voucher was issued on our stop over on a way to Hong Kong on December 28 (see the attachment) instead of the stop over on our way back to US on January 17th (1 night) Would it be possible for you to honor the voucher below for January 17 th night and change our reservation? Our attempts to make changes on Turkish airline website were not successful

The location of the property was great for our needs. It was a short walk to the train and good as a hub to hit the tourist spots we were interested in. We were situated in the back property, so we had to take two elevators to get to our room. The staff often blocked off the lone elevator in the back area without notice so we often waited for an elevator that wasn't going to come. On check in, our room had just one towel for two people. No second bath towel, hand towels, floor mats, or anything else. We contacted the front desk and were provided additional within the hour. Though, we had a late check in so the wait felt much longer. The included breakfast had rotating hot offerings by the day. The standard bread, olives, salad, cheese, yogurt and modest fruit was available every day. The staff often turned off the coffee machine prior to breakfast being over, so if you're a heavy coffee drinker like us, make sure you get your last cup at least 10 mins before breakfast ends. The rooms and bed were comfortable. Complimentary bottled water was provided upon request. There was a kettle and tea/coffee as well. The air con was great and cooled quickly. The bathroom could have used some TLC. The shower door and drain were broken. The shower hand wand would not stay in the holder (it's older and the weight of the wand with water pressure would just cause it to fall from the cradle). Soap was provided in a wall-mounted pump. No shampoo or other toiletries provided. We appreciated that the staff seemed to look after some strays around the property. Overall, it was good for our needs. We needed a place to rest and refresh.

Mixed experience - I stayed here 4 nights in total, 3 before my tour and 1 at the end. My first 3 nights the rooms smelt with an old stale smell, like the carpets needed cleaning and the rooms were very small, not enough room to lay flat my hard shell suitcase on the floor. My single friend have had different room and same experience, I also changed rooms once for the same situation. Then when I returned after my tour both my friend and I were put in totally different rooms which had no smell, were fresh and much bigger - friend even had a balcony with a view of the ferry terminal. The rooftop terrace which looks awesome on the photos was closed whole time we were there too which seems a regular thing. This hotel is situated on a very busy road across the road from the ferry terminal, so it is noisy if you are on that side, bonus of being on that side though is that you get a view if you are high enough up so ask for a high room. I moved to the back side of the hotel for no noise but then you just have a view of another building. Our tour guide said they had cancelled their contract here and moved to Port Bosphorous due to the complaints. The location was great with lots available across at the Galataport ferry terminal, which has so many restaurants for the many cruise ships that come in, it also has a small supermarket and many other amenities. Note it is a very steep hill walk to get to the main strip of Istanbul, only did it once and had to rest half way anyone not fit would need a taxi. Great chicken fajitas at Nidya, if you arrive and dont want to go out can recommend them!

Was close to cruise port, only good thing. We got to our room to find 1 towel, 1 cup. Asked for towels for both of us. It took 3 times going to reception and even then overall took 2 hours. Not helpful at reception at all

We had bed bugs and suffered from them for a long time. The air conditioning was broken in all the rooms. The employees were bad-tempered and unhelpful. The bathrooms were not usable and had a bad smell. It is not professionally recommended.
