Sirkeci Mansion

Superbly located down a pleasant shop-lined narrow street, the hotel is within easy walking distance of many main sights, with a tram stop 1/2 minutes away. My room on the third floor had a lovely view over Gulhane Park, was clean and bright with a plentiful supply of bottled water (just ask for some more if you need it). Breakfast was as good as anywhere I have been, with a superb selection of local food, and which was all labelled - the honey off the honeycomb was so good. Extremely helpful staff throughout, and I would love to visit again.

The hotel itself is immaculate. Our room was spotless, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location couldn’t be better, within walking distance of many of Istanbul’s most iconic historical sites and with easy access to the tram and other public transportation. A superb central location, minutes away from Topaki Palace, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Very attentive staff and wholesome breakfasts - special thanks to Fatime. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay, and we will most definitely be back to Istanbul and to stay here. We had the Deluxe room on the top floor, which was very spacious, with a large balcony, overlooking the delightful Gulhane Park. The hotel manager, Okay (a wealth of knowledge!), did walking tours which gave us an amazing insight into the culural, historical and culinerary life of Istanbul. Not to be missed! I wholeheartedly recommend staying at this hotel.

Usually I visit Istanbul in November, but an event in France in early May prompted a trip there, and I realized I could not by-pass Istanbul. The city was full of visitors, a great many from the US, which is not usual in the Autumn. The hôtel was it’s clean, comfortable environment, and the staff was superb as always. Breakfast is buffet styled, with continental and cooked breakfast items. Walking tours and cooking classes are offered gratis, and guests seem to enjoy them. The location is within sight of the Gulhane tram stop, so access to the main sights is easy. Regardless, the staff is the best aspect of staying at this lovely boutique hotel. I could not stay anywhere else.
