Terrible experience They gave away our pre booked room to other people whilst we were on our plane there. When confronting them they blamed their system and us. The woman at the front desk was especially rude. We asked for their manager and they lied saying he wasn’t here at the moment but we saw him walking around with other guests. In the mist of us trying to find a solution the woman at the front desk decides she’s had enough and clocks out. So she gets to go home all comfortable and we were left trying to figure out where we’re staying the night? Okay cool We ended up having to find another hotel. No compensation nothing just left with hungry kids that haven’t eaten all day. Do not go to this trashy hotel. Absolute bs

Avoid this Hotel. They claim to be 5 stars and the reality is that is a 3 stars maximum. The hotel is old, room service awful and breakfast terrible.

Our 5‑day stay at Wyndham Hotel Istanbul Old City was nothing short of exceptional. The service deserves six stars, every staff member was professional, polite, multilingual, and attentive, even with challenging requests. Minor issues were resolved immediately, making our stay comfortable and unforgettable. Reception team (Sara, Milan, Mustafa): consistently polite, helpful, and welcoming. Bellboy Elias: managed our luggage smoothly and efficiently. Tour guide Omar: highly knowledgeable, offered fair prices, and made our excursions memorable. Wellness manager Elvira and her team: guided us through available options and delivered high‑quality treatments, including hamam, facial masks, and massage, true human service at its best. Housekeeping staff: impeccable cleaners who maintained our room perfectly. The hotel’s location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Istanbul, next to the Blue Mosque, with the subway and tram close by, making it easy to explore the city. We highly recommend the bus tour and boat tours, which added to the unforgettable experience. Wyndham Old City combines professionalism with genuine hospitality, making guests feel truly valued. This stay was outstanding, and we will remember it fondly.

absolute marvel, great central location, very clean, and accommodating, the staff was honestly phenomenal, very nice, very helpful, at the reception we had the beautiful Sara, and Silan, with out forgetting the great Mustafa, all great customer service and beyond, the doorbell boy Elias as well as Omer booking the tours were also very amazing people, honestly if i did not have to get back to work i would have stayed longer, all amenities are sited were available, one thing for sure we will be back here and not else.

This has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. The biggest issue was the customer service. Reception staff were consistently rude, dismissive and unhelpful, particularly Jan, Imas, Heyka and Halib. We were repeatedly given conflicting information, promised things that never happened, and made to feel like our concerns were an inconvenience. The room was dirty on arrival, with visible dirt and mould, and it had to be cleaned multiple times without ever reaching an acceptable standard (one cleaner got a knife to clean the dirt!!!!). The housekeeping standards were far below what you’d expect from any hotel, let alone a supposed 5 star. Breakfast was also disappointing, with a limited selection that became repetitive very quickly. To make matters worse, no one offered to help with our luggage when we arrived, yet staff were quick to try to sell us tours. Overall, the service throughout our stay has been poor, and despite raising our concerns, very little changed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel or return in the future.
