Delta Hotel by Marriott Bodrum

Staying at this hotel was the worst mistake of my life, and I have made plenty. Not only are rooms unclean and infested with black mould and damp, the WiFi does not work and staff are extremely rude and unpleasant. Upon arrival, we were shocked to discover a strong damp smell in the room and the bathroom was covered in mould. There was no wifi and the safe did not work. We then proceeded to ask for a different room and the girl at reception laughed in our face and said they were fully booked and that the website disclosed there was no WiFi in the rooms which was not true. We then complained to the woman at guest relations who said she could upgrade us to another room a few days later. We accepted this but stated we would want some reimbursement for the days we had to suffer in this room. We asked to speak to the manager and at first were told no but after insisting she eventually came out. Her extreme lack of English meant she did not understand what we were saying and much of the time was just ignoring us and staring at us blankly. Whenever she would reply, it would be ‘no why should I?’ Eventually we walked away defeated. Furthermore, the staff at reception all have an attitude problem and are not helpful when ordering taxis and visibly roll their eyes when asked. I don’t know what their problem is given Uber doesnt work there and it’s supposed to be a 5* hotel. The organisation of the taxis is also really bad and it’s confusing to know who’s taxi is whose so if you don’t sprint outside you will miss it. However I must say the valet staff are excellent and are the only helpful people in the entire hotel. They are the ones who sort out taxis in extremely hot weather and go above what their role entails. The hotel could learn a lot from them. Shoutout to Suleiman and Emihran from the valet service. Also bear in mind not many staff members speak English in this hotel even though the website says differently. If you get a room on the ground floor, beware as it seems the mould comes in from the swimming pool. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!!!!! I can ensure you will be disappointed.

We spent one week at Delta Hotels by Marriott Bodrum with our family, and we had a wonderful vacation. Everything was very good, from the facilities to the food and service. The staff were always friendly, professional, and very polite, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. A special thank you to the entertainment team – Ahmed, Su, and Sude. They were amazing, energetic, and always made sure guests had a great time. Their activities and positive attitude made our holiday even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel to families looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Bodrum. We would be happy to come back again! Thank you for a great holiday! 😊

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our vacation. The entertainment team was amazing — both the girls (su and sude) and the boy (Ahmet) were very kind, chatty, and made sure there was always a fun activity every evening. They even organized transportation to a nearby clup , and we had a great time. The reception staff were very helpful, the food was good, and the beach and pool were always clean and well maintained. The cleaning staff were lovely, and our room was cleaned every day to a very high standard. The hotel is also very family-friendly, and the children had an excellent time. Everything was beautiful and made for a great experience. The only small downsides were that there was no clothing iron available in the room, and the hotel only offered a paid ironing service, which could become quite expensive for multiple items. We also felt that the cocktails could have been better, as the alcohol quality seemed fairly basic, and some drinks we would have liked, such as whiskey, were not available. Aside from these minor points, everything else was excellent.
