Salinas Beach Hotel Bodrum

The guy on the front desk, cant remember his name, thanks to him, he upgraded us to a family room and the bar guy and his young girlfriend who worked their also, was lovely and gave good alcoholic drink measures and were friendly. Noise levels was loud around the pool area but didn't affect us much as we were out and about during day/night. We didn't eat in the hotel, even though was all inclusive. Me and my partner and mum didn't like any food served, very basic, and no toaster for breakfast. So choose to eat out instead every day. The pool didn't look too clean, did not use the pool. Rooms weren't cleaned once in our 4 day stay. Had to ask for toilet roll. No clean towels provided. Loved Bodrum/Gumbet but wouldn't stay in this hotel again.

My partner and I have stayed at Salinas beach hotel for the last 2 weeks. Our room and hotel areas were basic, however we had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable (one of the comfiest we have had on holiday!) and we had a lovely pool view ( room 101). We did have a few minor maintenance issues ( balcony door and shower), which were fixed promptly by the maintenance team. I will agree that the food was very repetitive with pasta, rice , chips and a chicken dish being present at both lunch and dinners, however this is similar to other small family run 3 star hotels we have stayed at so we were expecting this. The food we did eat was nice and we managed to eat something at every meal so did not go hungry. Breakfast was continental ( Deli meats, veg, cheese, cereal etc) however being the only English couple in the hotel during our last week it made sense that they catered to the majority of their guests. The hotel was mostly quiet with couples and small families, however on our last day a school trip turned up (30+ teenagers) causing the atmosphere to change and making large queues for food and drinks. Overall the hotel is definitely a basic 3star, however for the price we paid we were happy with our holiday and the service that we received.

Absolutely shocking hotel. Arrived for a 2 week stay first room we were given was dirty, only enough room for the bed and no wardrobe. The air conditioning unit was hanging off the wall and holes with live wires. Demanded a move and was moved to a larger room however this wasn't much better. Mold and rust throughout with exposed wires. See photos. The grounds were full of weeds and discarded pieces of furniture. The food was terrible cold, bland and very limited choice in the 2 weeks we were there chicken, and kofta were the only thing served along with chicken nuggets at most meals. Food ran out and wasn't replaced we ended up paying to eat out and could not face the food. On a plus point if you want to eat salads all holiday they were OK. The drinks were again bland and very limited served in glasses that were constantly getting broken around by the pool. Running out several times especially the coffee. The person behind the bar was a wannabe DJ playing very loud inappropriate music with swearing not the type of music for the age demographics staying at the hotel. Despite several requests to turn the music down by multiple people the music remained loud competing with the music in the other hotels nearby resulting in a loud garbled mess which you were not able to relax. The Hotel has the potential to be a gem but the lack of attention to detail and staff who don't care. With a little TLC this hotel could be so much more given the great location 30 seconds to the beach. I will let the photos

First room filthy. Second room flooded. Third room OK overlooking pool. Would have been better if they hadn't decided to drag the heavy wooden sunbeds out and jetwash the pool area at 2am in the morning and chat like it's midday. The food. Lukewarm to cold and that was as the restaurant opened. What wasn't eaten at one meal was served at the next mixed up with something else to make it look different. I've never been to a hotel that doesn't have a toaster, Salinas doesn't have one or cups and saucers. All paper cups. Coffee machine forever not working properly until Sunday when it packed up altogether and wasn't repaired till Monday afternoon. As a non drinker I wasn't aware that they also ran out of beer. Drinks glasses around the pool that kept getting broken. Not the best idea. Sheets were changed once. Had to ask for toilet paper. The list goes on and on. The Salinas doesn't need some TLC it needs shutting down and a complete revamp. Take the pictures of it down as they must be at least 10 years old and nothing like it looks today. The pool and sunbeds are the only thing that are OK. Highlight of the holiday was watching two of the staff take 2 days to repair the door on the pool changing room.

Family hotel. Very nice service. Safe and fridge in the room. Water in the room every day. Nothing was missing from the room :) Barman Mehmut was very helpful and nice as was the rest of the hotel staff including the owner. I have very fond memories of the week-long family stay :)
