Begonville Hotel Marmaris

The hotel left a very good impression. The surroundings were tidy, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The food was good and tasty. Overall, the hotel deserves its 3-star rating. The staff were helpful and polite. We had purchased an All-Inclusive package. Breakfasts were standard, while lunch and dinner were plentiful. There was everything we needed, including hot dishes, vegetables and desserts. The drinks included local wine, rakia, gin and Efes Pilsen beer. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from the sea.

Great location, just a short walk from the main road and beach, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, we found the hotel very disappointing and lacking any welcoming atmosphere. As a family hotel, there was no entertainment during our stay and very little for children. My 12-year-old son was even reprimanded for jumping into the pool from the side. If children aren’t really catered for, perhaps the hotel would be better suited to being adults-only. The all-inclusive food lacked variety and didn’t cater well for children, with overcooked chips on more than one occasion. Ice cream was only available 4–5pm, usually with just two flavours. The hotel bar was often closed, meaning you had to walk down steps in the dark to the pool bar. After rain, there were also puddles left across the walkway which we had to complain about. The rooms were good, clean and regularly serviced, with a nice shower and fridge, although only one key card per room was inconvenient. The pool bar staff were friendly and Ayisha on reception was fantastic and very helpful. Unfortunately, some other staff were not particularly friendly or helpful, and customer service could definitely be improve. Wi-Fi was also extremely poor, even in reception. We also found the feeling of being continuously watched by the male near the outer entrance very uncomfortable and something we have never experienced at another hotel in Turkey. Overall, despite the excellent location and some positives, we did not feel this hotel offered good value for money and unfortunately would not recommend it for families or return ourselves.

Absolutely disgusting. No refills on cups or tea. Coffee and sugar, when asked they tell you to go to dinning hall. All cupboards and doors are coming off . No choice of food

Wonderful stay at Begonville Hotel We had a truly wonderful stay at Begonville Hotel and we can honestly say that it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is very clean, well-maintained and has a really pleasant atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic — fresh, tasty and with plenty of variety. Every meal was a pleasure, and there was always something delicious to choose from. The staff deserve a special mention. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable from the very first day. A big thank you to the lovely bartenders for their great service and smiles. We would also like to give a special mention to our wonderful animator, Emmy. She was absolutely fantastic — always cheerful, friendly and full of positive energy. She really made our stay even more enjoyable! Overall, Begonville Hotel is a lovely, comfortable and welcoming place with great food and amazing staff. We are very happy that we chose this hotel and would gladly come back again. ❤️ Thank you to the entire Begonville team for making our holiday so enjoyable and memorable!

This hotel has great potential great location for beach and main street of marmaris. But unfortunately it is not great right now. We arrived at the hotel at 9.30am after an over night flight we were tired hungry and it was 40 degrees outside so very hot. We also had 5 kids with us. The receptionist told us checkin wasn't untill 2pm (this wasnt stated any where when we booked). We asked if we could atleast go for breakfast as all inclusive was still on at that time. We was told no it would cost extra. There was no were safe for us to leave our cases. We was told to leave them next to reception in the seating area right by the front door which we were not happy about but we needed to go and eat some were. All communal hotel areas do not have air-conditioning as it states in the details. The only thing it has is 1 big portable ac unit in the food area downstairs. The hotel is hot! Our ac in the bedroom was fab though. Which was needed after walkin up 4 flights of stairs with our cases in extreme temperatures. No lift in the hotel. Rooms were average. Definitely need to employ better cleaners as our room was not cleaned once. She just made the beds each day floors were dirty all week. Towels changed every 3 days (not sure they were) but we had the same bath mat all week which was black off the dirty wet floors from bathroom. All inclusive is not all-inclusive no ice-cream on it or cocktails apart from the weird random cocktail made daily in the despenser on the bar. Tasted vile. Food very much the same everyday nothing for kids apart from pancakes every morning. Snack bar between 4 and 5 normally hotdogs or nuggets and ice-cream just for that hour. What food that was there was not bad but not the best ither. Pool area is great never struggled to get loungers and there was 8 of us. Only downside the floor gets very slippy and the 1 man who was cleaning around the pool everyday did his best to keep it clean and dry. If u sit down the bottom area were the drain is it smells realy bad. Didn't see anyone cleaning the floors around the pool just brushing the water away. No entertainment realy going on. Just some pools aerobics. We went out every night as nothing going on in the hotel. I will not be going back to this hotel unless it changes massively. Such a shame!
