TUI SUNEO Costa Mare Suites

Been here 3 days,first time staying in marmaris,first impressions,arrived and checked in,shown the lift snd told floor 2,on arrival our patio door can only lock on 1 part the other lock is broken,room is basic with bed,wardrobe and fridge,tv on wall and aircon unit,there is a strange smell in our room which almost smells like stale cigars,the wardrobe has 9 hangers for two people,you can only open 1 door at a time as its so close to the bed. The fridge has 1 bottle of water in it. The bathroom has no shelf or hook for clothes on door. Items have to be put on the sink,as does the spare toilet rolls. Cleaner has made bed but not changed bedding,towels taken away with 1 dirty one left but no clean ones replaced,had to go find them then was given 2 small bath towels and no hand towels,floor not swept. Patio door left open by cleaners.curtains do not fit the patio doors gaps both sides and its big gaps. Right that's the room,we had a thunder storm so decided to go for a drink but the bar was closed,no one could tell us where to get a drink from saying none available until it reopens at 7pm,we were told this by reception,after talking to another guest we found a bar by the quieter pool which was open until 7pm,not sure why the staff are not telling people? The food is good in the main restaurant but not keen on the snack bar. Ice cream is served 2pm till 4pm only Staff are very friendly. Pools look nice but cold. Smoking is needing review as there seems to be no way of getting away from it,inside the snack bar,by the pool,needs to have areas away from children and non smokers really. Gardens are nice. Pool toilets need updating and monitoring. Overall its ok for what we paid. Sunbeds are taken very early although it says not too. Not been to the center yet but have heard its nice by the harbour. Not sure if we would return due to the room and Smoking everywhere.

Good and bad hotel Nice place but quite dated and quite a distance from main strip Staff friendly but only talk to the favourite guests rooms very small and in need of a good update Cleaners in daily and yes they leave clean towels when needed but rooms are very dirty Restaurant is quite big and breakfast is average lunch is ok evening food is diabolical same crap every day The main pool is very busy but too deep all way around and if you want a bed get ready to get up at 6am Quiet pool is lovely and relaxing but be warned no hand tail to get in and its 6 foot deep all round but always some beds available and we had some great people around it too They have 1 bar open in evening for 600 plus guests and not enough seating the evening entertainment is very poor too the bag/clothes shop in hotel is fantastic with some great deals for cash and run by a really nice couple The tattoo shop is brilliant to a great artist and gentle tattooist with great prices too Overall its cheap and cheerful but we won't be back as its not that good for a return Turkey has become expensive for food drink and gifts over the last 5 years

Arrived just before midnight so we were shown to the bar for drinks, staff were friendly and got us drinks. Our room was clean fairly small but let’s face it you only sleep and shower there. The relax pool was still quite busy but lovely and clean the barman was lovely jubbly. Breakfast catered for everyone same as lunch and again dinner a little repetitive but very nice loved the soups and there was always something to eat. Our waiters were lovely I didn’t get their names but one reminded us of Stephen Graham and an older guy with a really good head of hair was lovely. The bag shop was great she was lovely helpful and was the same prices as marmaris so save yourself the trip. My partner bought a rucksack from her so left his old one in the room obviously for the bin but before we’d been picked up our our cleaner had walked out with it over his arm lol atleast it went to good use. There was a £5 shop in the bazaar in marmaris was really good. We took a mixture of English and lira I think we should have just took English or euros. Overall great holiday great food and the entertainment was good too.

My mother in law booked this holiday with the help of my wife. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff were fantastic - they went above & beyond! The receptionist even helped us up to our room with our cases whilst my wife wheeled her mum to the room (my mother in law is a wheelchair user). After staying at this hotel for a week, we come to a conclusion that the hotel and staff are fantastic - from the evening entertainment staff , reception staff and waiting staff. Especially these three: The waitress with the purple hair - she was ever so helpful to my mother in law and wife each morning and evening during meal times, a credit to this hotel. Tracy the TUI rep was ever so lovely - the best rep I have ever met on any holiday , again she is a credit to TUI ! One other staff member that made our holiday even more wonderful was Tony/Yasar - the guest relation man, he is ever so lovely and a man that will melt anyone’s heart! Such a lovely guy! The evening entertainment is fantastic - especially the karaoke night! There was a couple of altercations between two families whilst we were there, where police had to be called, but that didn’t stop us having a great time! Staff did all they could on these occasions. However this hotel doesn’t get 5/5 for me due to a few niggly reasons: 1. The pool is extremely cold. Absolutely freezing. 2. The food is very same same each day. And some food seems to come across undercooked - the fried eggs and baked beans. 3. In our room, the hair dryer cable was exposed in a couple places. This wasn’t something I had to look for either. It popped out at me straight away. 4. No disabled toilets in communal areas. 5. The lifts - only one ever seems to work and the lifts are very tiny. We only just about managed to squeeze a wheelchair and one adult into it. 6. The cocktails and alcohol selection. The cocktails are done from a machine not freshly put together. And a lack of options in my opinion. All in all a great hotel , but definitely room for improvement.

This trip wouldn't be so nice, enjoyable and relaxing without waiter Ali. He was ever-present and figured out what we needed on his own. A huge plus was hus attempts to speak in polish and his willingness to learn this language. If we ever visit this hotel again, that will be to his credit.
