Wyndham Hoi An Royal Beachfront Resort

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel, way many better options in the Area. Never any seats at the pool or Beach available, kids playing ground is in between the chairs, all drinks are more then double then the other hotels in The Area and all pools are often just full. The service in general from towel boy to the staff at the breakfast is just not the level you can expect in Vietnam. I’m het for 11 nights and still have 8 to go, but we are looking to change hotels.

We had a fantastic stay at the Wyndham Royal Beachfront Hotel in Hoi An and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beach resort with excellent facilities and service. The resort is modern, immaculately maintained, and exceptionally clean throughout. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the beach is spotless, and the swimming pools are excellent, providing plenty of space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The sporting facilities were also very good and added to the overall resort experience. Our room was huge, beautifully presented, and impeccably clean. Housekeeping did a superb job throughout our stay, and the ocean view from our room was absolutely stunning. Waking up each morning to the sight of the sea was a real highlight. The service from all staff members was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, professional, and eager to help, making us feel genuinely welcome from arrival to departure. The breakfast was another standout feature, with an excellent selection and consistently high quality. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a little removed from the centre of Hoi An, so a taxi is generally required to reach the Old Town and other attractions. However, this is also part of its appeal, as the location offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere away from the crowds. Overall, this is a superb beachfront resort offering excellent accommodation, outstanding cleanliness, first-class service, and beautiful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.

Stayed for 6 nights in July with 3 three children aged 9, 7, 2. We had a 2 bedroom room on the eleventh floor overlooking the beach. We could not fault the room. It was large and spacious with 2 bathrooms and a lounge area. Each room had a large modern tv. We were very happy with the room and how modern and clean it was. The pool area away from the beach is massive at around 50 meters long. It has plenty of loungers and we encountered no trouble finding a spot each day. The pool down by the beach is a lot busier and has a real euro holiday feel to it. We did not spend much time here. The staff are extremely friendly , happy and hospitable. They often made a fuss of the children. The negative of the hotel is in regards to the pricing of the food and drink. It's is outrageously overpriced. It felt like price gauging. A beer in a bar down the road would cost approx 50k Dong. In the hotel it's around 130k Dong. A pizza at the pool bar worked out to be $35 AUD . In contrast we stayed at the Hyatt hotel in Da Nang which was far superior as a international 5⭐ hotel and a pizza there worked out at $20 Aud, a beer around 80k Dong. I know we are only talking $10 , $20 here but it's the principal of paying excessive prices. This did have a negative effect on the stay. I would probably try somewhere else next time I visit Hoi An.

We chose this hotel expecting a 5-star luxury resort, how mistaken we were! The 2 bedroom deluxe ocean view suite had a better view of the air conditioning units than the sea. The bedrooms were tiny, the second bedroom had no space between the end of the bed and the TV, so you had to climb over the bed to get to the other side. The facilities were limited, no milk, Nespresso capsules but no machine to use them in The staff on the whole were indifferent, not rude but hardly welcoming. On the second day we were at the pool and the landscaping team were cutting the grass by the pool for the whole day, I know they have to do it at sometime but it hardly creates a relaxing atmosphere with a noisy petrol strimmer running behind your head. For the size of hotel there were not many sun beds, however there were hardly any umbrellas so most of those sun beds were in the full sun. The hotel is right on a busy road and we were woken at 5am every morning to the sound of lorries honking their horns. The food in the restaurants was expensive, especially by Vietnamese standards and mediocre at best. Overall this is a 3 star high volume resort trying to pretend it is something better. Avoid!
