An Unforgettable Stay at JAZ Amaluna Zanzibar We had an amazing stay at JAZ Amaluna Zanzibar. The hotel itself is beautiful, the food was great, and the location is fantastic. But what truly made our holiday special was the incredible staff. Four people in particular deserve to be recognized because they went above and beyond every single day. Othman is without a doubt one of the best bartenders we have ever met. His cocktails were consistently excellent, and you can tell he takes real pride in his work. He is always welcoming, professional, and sets a great example for the rest of the team. Every visit to the bar was a pleasure because of him. Julius was the waiter we mostly met during dinner, and he is genuinely one of the kindest and most welcoming people we have ever encountered. He always greeted us with a smile, remembered us, and made us feel valued every evening. His friendliness and positive attitude are something we will never forget. Meschak truly impressed us throughout our stay. Whether serving drinks around the bar or looking after guests in the beach à la carte restaurant, he was always attentive, respectful, and incredibly professional. He regularly checked whether everything was okay, made sure no guest was ever waiting too long, and always did so with a genuine smile. What stood out most was his dedication and commitment to providing outstanding service. He has a natural talent for hospitality, and we can honestly say that he has enormous potential. We are convinced he has a very bright future ahead of him, and we hope the hotel recognizes what a valuable member of the team he is. And finally, Issa, the entertainer. He brings so much energy and happiness to the hotel that it’s impossible not to like him. He is funny, charismatic, and knows exactly how to involve guests without ever being pushy. It really feels like he was born to do this job, and he creates an atmosphere that makes people smile every day. These four people are, in our opinion, the heart of JAZ Amaluna. They are the reason our stay was so memorable and the reason we would happily return. Every hotel needs employees like them. Our stay at Jaz Amaluna was, without a doubt, the best hotel experience we have ever had. The hotel is newly opened, beautifully designed, and every detail has been thoughtfully perfected. It is truly the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed in. The service deserves special recognition. Every single member of the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. It is clear that the entire team puts their heart into making every guest feel special. There are always enough staff members available, so every request is handled immediately, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the stay. The food was simply outstanding. Every meal was delicious, varied, and prepared with exceptional care. It is impossible to go hungry here—the selection is extensive, and the quality is outstanding. The à la carte restaurant exceeded all of our expectations. The portions were generous, and every dish was presented with the elegance and creativity you would expect from a world-class fine dining restaurant. This holiday will remain in our hearts forever for a very special reason. My fiancé planned his proposal on the beach, and the hotel team went above and beyond to help him create an unforgettable moment. The romantic beachfront dinner with candles and music, together with the beautiful handmade decorations—including a heart made from palm leaves, flowers, and elegant arches prepared by the staff—created the most magical atmosphere. It became one of the most beautiful moments of our lives, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make it so perfect. These were the best holidays we could have ever wished for—not only because we got engaged, but because of this extraordinary hotel and the amazing people who work here. Jaz Amaluna exceeded every expectation we had. It will be incredibly difficult to find another hotel that comes even close to this level. The bar has truly been set exceptionally high. We recently stayed at JAZ Amaluna and had a truly wonderful experience! ​Location & Views The hotel is located in a beautiful, scenic spot right on the coast. If you are an early riser, the sunrise views here are absolutely spectacular and not to be missed. Because Uroa is located right in the middle of the island, it served as the perfect, highly accessible base for all of our day trips and excursions around Zanzibar. ​Rooms & Cleanliness Our room was incredibly spacious, newly furnished, and felt very fresh. We were highly impressed by the standards of cleanliness—housekeeping serviced our room twice a day, which was a lovely, high-end touch that kept everything spotless throughout our stay. ​Atmosphere, Value & Amenities The overall atmosphere of the property is incredibly warm and welcoming. We booked last minute and ended up getting a fantastic discount, meaning the value we got for our money was exceptionally high. The amenities are already decent and you can tell they are actively expanding and improving the property. There is still some construction happening nearby, but the noise level was kept fairly low and didn't disrupt our peace. ​The Service (Our Favorite Part!) What truly sets this place apart is the level of service. The entire team takes such great care of the guests, making you feel genuinely valued. ​A huge, special thank you to Boniface at the front desk, our absolute favorite receptionist, who made everything seamless. ​To Edson, quite literally the best waiter of them all—thank you for your incredible warmth and service! ​Sending big warm greetings as well to Agnesse and the entire animation team for keeping the energy so positive and fun. ​We left with amazing memories and highly recommend JAZ Amaluna to anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming stay in Zanzibar!

Sunning hotel with impeccable attention to detail and the most amazing and friendly staff, who truly go above and beyond to make every moment special. Every aspect of our stay felt effortlessly luxurious - even the smallest touches, like fresh hand towels instead of paper towels or hand dryers. I could write pages about how wonderful our stay was, but I’ll keep it short - if you’re considering booking, just do it!!

I absolutely cannot stress how much I love this place. Everywhere was so clean, the food had such variety (I really recommend the crispy chicken sandwich at the restaurant). The evening shows were incredible too, with local singers and dancers. The place is so stunning -but even if it was a 3-star (which obviously it isn’t by my photos) the staff who work here are what makes it 5-star. The attentiveness, the friendliness, the humour, the kindness from every single one of them is what truly made this holiday so fantastic. I said Zanzibar would be a “go once and visit somewhere else next year” but I’m so desperate to be back and I 100% will! A special shoutout to Issa, who kept me company, taught me Swahili (and loser in Italian), our darling Gasper who came to make us his special cocktails every day around the pool, the amazing Agness who made sure we had dinner one night when we missed dinner due to watching England and finally Edson; who checked in with us daily even though he was on time off! Thank you so much to all, you really truly have made a holiday to remember.
