Zanzibar Queen Hotel

The hotel is like a little paradise—so green and cozy! When we arrived, the manager greeted us; she was thoughtful and helpful throughout our entire stay. The hotel offers yoga classes and bicycles for cycling. The spa is located in a beautiful spot, and the massage was very good. The food was great as well. The highlight was our New Year’s party with a live band followed by a DJ playing. They truly care about their guests. Thank you very much!

The accommodations are comfortable and impeccably maintained, and the location is perfect for exploring the area. The staff are consistently warm, professional, and attentive, making every guest feel welcome. The dining is outstanding, with every dish prepared and presented with great care. A special mention must go to Derek,the manager, whose dedication and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction are remarkable. He is always available to assist and goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Highly recommended!

Everything was absolutely amazing here. Beautiful area, beautifully decorated, helpful staff, clean and tidy, good food, everything! They especially helped us with a doctor when our daughter got sick, they were exceptional. No noise and activity, just some nice shows and entertainment for dinner in the evening. The family room was very spacious and good! Recommended!

A great boutique hotel, African-style rooms, excellent cuisine, very polite staff, sometimes Swahili evenings, live music, fantastic massages, yoga lessons, possibility to purchase attractions available on the island, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

What a lovely relaxed and peaceful hotel. We had a fantastic time. The rooms are large, clean and cool and the pools are a great size, lots of sun-beds and beautiful setting. It never felt busy. Not a beach fan myself but the kids loved it (I agree with others that the people trying to sell you stuff are annoying but that’s not the hotels fault). The hotel has different free things every day - reef walks, village walks, scuba experience (in the pool), free Henna - great if you want to do something a bit different and they change each day. We did two paid for trips (snorkelling with dolphins and the horse beach safari). Both really great value and knowledgeable guides. The staff are all so friendly and helpful - nothing is too much. The food is great. We were half board and there was loads of choice at breakfast and the evening meals were so fresh and tasty (and always four starters and four mains to choose from) as well as the fantastic pizza (which is always available)! We also enjoyed the three buffet/bbq days we had that happen each week! The lunch menu is varied and the same great quality. I had a very nice deep tissue massage overlooking the sea. Great value. There is a gym - weights only and very small but perfectly functional! I didn’t want to leave. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone. A great choice.
