Hotel Sol Luna Bay Resort

Overall a good holiday! The transfer is 1 hour, through mountains on windy roads-be prepared! The hotel is lovely and clean. Comfy beds, really spacious rooms. The hotel is really remote, there is a shuttle bus every hour to Obzor, if you want to walk, it’s about 30 minutes. I did this a few times, get to the pool bar and turn right onto the walkway, then you’ll see a sign. There is also a supermarket about 1km down this road if you want. Other than that, nothing much around the area, which is fine if you just want to relax. The pool was cold, but there is a heated one indoors. There is music around the pool but it’s not crazy loud. The pool and sunbeds do go in the shade around 4pm, but if you still want the sun this is still out on the sunbeds on the beach. The beer, wine, soft drinks are on tap!!!! So, no queues and the bars can do all other drinks. Although I think the hotel was only about half full, so don’t know what it would be like if it was full. The food was good. They have allergy advice on boards above the food, there is a gluten free section. Good selection, chips and pizza available at every meal! The gym is limited and seems to be the only room with no air conditioning! There is not much entertainment on at night, but there are a few activities throughout the day, but they don’t pressure you into joining in. It’d have been better with aqua gym! I didn’t see any bugs in the hotel, obviously some flying ones outside, but I usually get eaten alive on holiday and I do not have one bite! Overall, a good holiday.

Lovely holiday to this hotel. Just the place if you want to chill and the beach was beautiful. The staff were all friendly and helpful to all nationalities. The room was a good size. The aircon worked well. There was a free mini bar in the room but once you had consumed everything- if you wanted it refilled it was 30 euros. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was a good size. The shower had good water pressure. There was a safe in the room that you had to pay extra for. Also in the corridor was a water machine with hot & cold water. The main restaurant had a good range of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You did not need to wear long trousers in the evening- smart shorts or 3/4 lengths were allowed. There was also a snack bar open during lunchtime. There were 3 speciality restaurants that had to be reserved in advance Italian, Bulgarian and Fish. The lobby bar was open all day from 0900-2300. The pool bar was also open until late in the evening. They had a good range of drinks and cocktails. The outside pool was very cold but the sea was lovely and warm. Bonus was you could always find a sunbed by the pool or on the beach. The beach was amazing. Lovely sand, ideal for kids building sandcastles. There were shops on site that sold buckets & spades, clothes, snacks, bottled drinks and cigarettes, most things you would need. There were many activities on offer during the day and the usual hotel entertainment in the evenings. They did have some singers a few evenings in the lobby bar. The shuttle bus into Obzor was 1.50euro per person- I think children were cheaper. The bus ran regularly throughout the day and evening. You can’t really walk out from the hotel as no promenade. You could walk along the beach to Obzor but would definitely give your legs a good workout! Obzor was compact and definitely quieter than other resorts. Nessebar is definitely worth a day trip if you want to explore! Would definitely return to this hotel.

The location of hotel is great near Obzor. The stuff of the hotel was very friendly, professional and helpful (especially barmans, animators (Bobby) and Nadia - Manager. The atmosphere was great, rooms and whole hotel very clean. There was quiet in the room. The food was always very tasty and fresh. There were concetrs with live miusic in lobby bar in the evening. We hihgly recomend this hotel !!!

We had a wonderful stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel! The location is perfect – it is situated in a quieter, more secluded area, which means there is no unnecessary noise and you can truly relax. At the same time, the hotel offers so many different activities that there is never a dull moment. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive, and helpful. You feel welcome from the very first moment. We would also especially like to highlight the cleanliness – the rooms are cleaned thoroughly every day, and the entire hotel and its surroundings are very clean and well maintained. The entertainment program is fantastic and offers something for everyone. There are plenty of activities for children, while parents can relax and enjoy their holiday. In the evenings, there are kids’ discos, different themed shows, live music, and other entertainment. During the day, there are games both in and out of the water, tournaments, and many other activities. The food is also delicious, varied, and of very good quality! Another thing that pleasantly surprised us was that even towards the end of the summer season, everything is still running at full capacity. The staff continue to put in their best effort, and the entertainment program is still in full swing. If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful, clean, and well-maintained place to relax, while still having plenty of entertainment and activities to choose from, this hotel is the perfect choice. Considering everything the hotel has to offer, the price is more than reasonable. You really get great value for your money! We would definitely come back and highly recommend staying here! ❤️

Only our first day so too soon to give a balanced review. First impression of room is not great. We have a sea view as requested and paid for. All good. We are on the 5th floor and a fair walk from the lift. Not good as we are in our 70's and requested a low floor - would have preferred ground floor, but not a deal breaker. What I consider very poor is the fact that there is no kettle in the room. Rang reception to request one and I was told that there is a water dispenser near the lift. Not good enough when it means you have to walk there and back with hot water and what are you supposed to carry it in anyway 🤔!!!
