Sol Nessebar Palace All Inclusive

We recently stayed at Sol Nessebar Palace and found the overall facilities to be very good. The hotel grounds are well maintained, the pools and water attractions are enjoyable, and there are plenty of activities for families. The rooms were comfortable, and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing and did not meet the standard expected from a hotel of this level. On two separate occasions, we were served undercooked chicken dishes in the buffet restaurant. The chicken curry contained pink chicken, and on another day the chicken skewers were also visibly pink and undercooked. This raised concerns about food safety and made us reluctant to try some of the other hot food options. Another significant issue was the lack of clear allergen information in the buffet restaurant. Food labels were often limited or unclear, making it difficult to identify ingredients and manage dietary requirements safely. For guests with allergies or food intolerances, this could be a serious concern. While the facilities and amenities were excellent, the food quality and allergen labelling need considerable improvement. Addressing these issues would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

This hotel is not appropriately classified. It’s a 3 star at best. Came here May 25th for a week. Rooms are good and pool area and slides look great but thats the best this place has going for it. The water in the pools is exceptionally cold. Nothing going on around the pool for entertainment. The worst part are the lifeguards at top of slides. They are inappropriate to females looking them up and down. My 13 year old came back upset, after the lifeguard put his hands on her and asked her age looking her up and down. I was approached by two other families to whom this happened. I reported to reception and asked that this was looked into and someone from management come back to me. Their response was to quickly point out he was Egyptian and not Bulgarian, and wasn’t shocked, which made me assume this was not his first report on this issue. No one ever came back to me about this serious issue. My daughter refused to go on the slides after this incident. The only restaurant open was the buffet, which pushed out the same food every day. No variety, and the meat all of a very low standard. No thematic cooking like you would expect at a higher star all inclusive. The drinks are atrocious, they have a cocktail list of about 60 drinks, but somehow it all comes out of the same automatic drinks pourer into paper cups, watery, pre mixed and flat. Entertainment was poor. A mini disco, and then having to wait until 9.30, for a 30 minute show. Nothing was open when we visited, no additional snack bars, ice cream stand, restaurants. The “lively pool entertainment consisted of a game of darts” They talk of ice cream being available. This consisted of an ice cream locker with cheap plastic cartons of either chocolate or vanilla. Nothing else. There was nothing walkable, it’s a hotel on outskirts of Nessebar, 40 minutes walk from the town. No bars or entertainment around, so if you want something different it’s a bus ride (which never seems to come) or an expensive cab. Their handling of a pre planned water outage for a day was shocking. Pre warning consisted of a piece of A4 paper in a lift and leaving 2 bottles of water to share for a family for drinking and washing. No hand sanitizer put out and toilets and communal facilities left in a mess, breeding germs. Only option to use pool to bathe which of course caused the pool to become unswimable. This led to a huge wave of sickness across the hotel. No regular updates were given and when complained the staff shrugged shoulders and said nothing they could do about the state of cleanliness or lack of alternative water solutions. Could and should have prepared better portable water solutions, better hand sanitizer, and increased cleaning regime All inclusive is an overstatement. Apart from food they charge you for room safe £40 a week, pottery painting, water spheres. No access to the sauna and steam, which was broken anyway for the time we were there. This isn’t an all inclusive like I have been used to in other resorts. This hotel is overtaxed massively in terms of stars, be careful and manage your expectations.

Amazing place definitely worth going to see the culture

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received at Sol Nessebar Palace. One incident in particular left a very negative impression. We waited at the front of the pancake station queue in the main restaurant for around 10 minutes with our young children. Despite clearly being next in line, the older lady serving at the station completely ignored us and began serving guests who had joined the queue behind us. It was upsetting and embarrassing for both us and our children to be overlooked after waiting patiently. When other guests were repeatedly served ahead of us, it made us feel unwelcome and unfairly treated. Throughout our stay, we felt that some staff members were noticeably friendlier and more attentive towards certain nationalities than others. Whether intentional or not, the experience left us feeling undervalued as English guests. We chose this hotel expecting friendly, professional service for all guests regardless of nationality. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below those expectations and had a significant impact on our holiday.

We stayed at Sol Nessebar Palace and overall had a really lovely holiday. The hotel has plenty to do for both children and adults, the facilities are great, and there’s always something going on around the resort. The rooms were comfortable, the grounds were well kept, and most of the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Food & Drink The food selection was brilliant with lots of variety every day and plenty of different places to eat around the resort. There was something for everyone, whether you wanted buffet options, snacks or something more casual. The American diner was definitely the highlight for us and ended up being our favourite place to eat during the stay! Entertainment The entertainment is more child-focused overall, but it was still very enjoyable for adults too. During the day there were lots of varied activities going on which helped keep the atmosphere lively around the pool areas. There was always something happening and the entertainment team worked really hard throughout the day. Staff Most of the staff were friendly and helpful during our stay. Unfortunately, we did have an incident on the first night when my daughter was sick in the lobby after suffering with travel sickness, and the receptionist at the time was quite rude about the situation, despite the fact I cleaned everything up myself immediately. However, the hotel manager spoke to us the following day, apologised profusely and handled the situation really well. As a gesture of goodwill, we were upgraded to a family suite which we really appreciated. Room Following the upgrade, our family suite was absolutely amazing. It had two large bedrooms and genuinely the biggest balcony I’ve ever experienced at a hotel! The room was spacious, comfortable and perfect for a family stay. The shower was always hot, housekeeping was very good, and overall we were extremely happy with the accommodation. Overall Overall, we had a very good stay at Sol Nessebar Palace. The hotel offers great facilities, excellent food options and plenty to keep families entertained. While one member of staff could have handled our arrival situation more professionally, the management team resolved it very well afterwards and showed excellent customer service. We would definitely recommend the hotel for families looking for a fun and comfortable all-inclusive holiday.
