Stayed one night in July 2026. Came for concert in Arena Pula. It was beyond my expectations. The staff left us speechless as we forgot to close the window to our car and the seats got all soaked wet. When we returned to the hotel, the guys at the concierge took care of our car, no complaints, left it in the sun to dry out and retuned it to us in the morning. The receptionst, whose name was Sandro, from what I remember was so super helpful and welcoming, nothing was a problem for these people. Absolutely worth 5* due to people working there!

We had an extremely disappointing experience at Grand Hotel Brioni. My husband’s phone was stolen from a sun lounger while he went to the pool with our daughter. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that, during check-in, nobody informed us that the sun loungers by the beach are actually located on a public beach and are not within the hotel’s secured premises. Everything looks as though it is part of the hotel — there are hotel sun loungers and hotel staff working in the area — so naturally, we assumed it was a hotel area where guests could feel safe. In reality, random people have access to the area. Even more disappointing was the attitude of the hotel staff. The gentleman at reception, the staff working by the sun loungers, and Mr. David all treated our theft as if it were a “hot potato”, simply sending my husband from one person to another instead of actually taking responsibility and making a genuine effort to help resolve the situation. This is absolutely not the level of service or care we expected from a 5-star hotel. We came here expecting safety, professionalism and exceptional service. Instead, we left feeling completely disappointed and, most importantly, unsafe. A 5-star hotel should make its guests feel protected and properly informed, especially when the hotel’s facilities are located directly next to a public area. Unfortunately, our experience at Grand Hotel Brioni was the complete opposite.

When you bring your family to a 5-star hotel, the one thing you expect above all is to feel safe. I've traveled to more than 70 countries over the years, and I had never once been the victim of theft on hotel property — until my stay at Grand Hotel Brioni in Pula. While I stepped away for about 20 minutes with my daughter to the pool, my phone was stolen from my sunbed. The theft itself was bad enough, but what truly disappointed me was what happened afterward — or rather, what didn't. The biggest letdown: at check-in, no one informed me that the beach in front of the hotel is actually public, despite being lined with hotel sunbeds and staffed by hotel employees. It looks and functions exactly like a private hotel area, so there's no way to know otherwise. I only found this out after reporting the theft — this is basic information every guest should be told immediately upon check-in. The second disappointment was the hotel's response to the report itself. Instead of any real help or genuine engagement with the problem, I was met with a "hot potato" attitude — the issue passed from person to person, plenty of empty words, and zero concrete action or sincere concern for resolving a guest's problem. The hotel may look great in photos, but the true standard of a 5-star property is tested in moments of crisis — and this one failed badly. If you're looking for a place where safety and professional problem-handling are genuine priorities, I'd consider other options.
