Hotel Parentium Plava Laguna

We stayed at this hotel during the world championship taekwondo in Porec. The entrance is spacious as are the rooms. The elevators were a bit small for a hotel of this size. Unfortunately the restaurants closed early which left us with no food when returning from the tournament. It is possible to take out a lunch instead. The rooms are fine and clean. The shower was a bit difficult to get at the right temperature but it worked in the end. the room had a small balcony with a view to the sea. Breakfast was good. The old city center is about 5km away. there is a foot path to the city which makes for a nice walk

We stayed at Hotel Parentium in Poreč (Zelena Laguna) and unfortunately, the experience was below expectations. The food at the restaurant was mediocre, lacking variety and freshness. The biggest disappointment was the room, which was supposed to be a “suite” – in reality, it meant sleeping on an old, uncomfortable sofa bed that creaked and was not suitable for a proper rest. On top of that, the whole room smelled of mold, which was very unpleasant. During the night, we were woken up twice by guests shouting outside the hotel, and no staff seemed to do anything about it. For a hotel that presents itself as a luxury option, we expected much better accommodation and service. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel and definitely wouldn’t come back.

We have just returned from an amazing week at this lovely hotel. Coach transfer from the airport which took about 50 minutes. We were on the third floor and our room was large, clean and comfortable. Cleaned every day with fresh towels. Breakfast and evening meal are buffet style, with a great, varied selection. An hours walk into Porec on the seafront or there is a little train that takes you most of the way for €4 euros. A taxi is around €10 euros. We took the ferry to Venice and spent a day there, took a sunset boat trip and saw dolphins and walked miles along the beautiful coastline. The hotel has a pool/swim up bar and there is an indoor pool and spa onsite. Pool towels are changed as often as needed just by handing your used one back and getting a new one. The staff at the hotel are lovely and we found them to be very friendly and helpful, sadly unlike some of the other guests who were just rude. A special mention to Daniela in the lobby bar who was always working hard but smiling. The hotel is spotlessly clean and is in a great location. I would definitely return and can highly recommend.

Hotel was above expectations for half board family holiday with two teenage boys. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good and varied buffet menu. 2 Great swimming pools. Excellent location next to sea with bathing platforms for easy access around peninsular. Clear sea water. Easy accessibility to Zelena Laguna bars, restaurants, pier for boat tours and tennis courts. 20 min tourist train ride to Porec. All very easy making for an enjoyable stay. 1hr Yoga session with Elena was perfect start to every morning. She was competent and experienced and part of the hotel offering. Only criticism was that there was enough sun beds, which were taken early each day by many german guests.

Nothing to fault about our week-long stay at Hotel Parentium. The location metres from the sea and surrounded by wooded areas and loads of activities to do, the high-quality hotel facilities and modern spaces, friendly and efficient staff, fantastic pool and food, and plenty of low-key quality entertainment each evening made it a special week. Porec town is a short journey away and well worth a visit. Highly recommend for couples and families with kids alike.
