Hotel Parentium Plava Laguna

Hotel and resort were very clean and the gardens and surrounding areas were very well maintained. In respect of Hotel Parentium: Positives: - Lovely lobby and bar area - Very clean - Majority of employees were friendly and helpful especially Vladimir S, Nermin I and Mario F - barmen; Housekeeper (very good), Roy and Robert in the restaurant. A couple not so good: the Check-in Night Receptionist - not very welcoming and didn't provide any information about the resort facilities and no mention of the hotel app. Tara - service varied. On 14th September, she was too busy clearing up after the 6.30pm crowd and was reluctant to take our order for drinks. Felt she didn't really want to be there. - Good music, mainly 70s/80s. - Buffet breakfast good but dinner buffet, although good, could do with some theme nights. - Very convenient for Porec and the little train to Porec was a brilliant idea. - Lots of nearby bars and restaurants to choose from. - Car hire place about a 10 minute walk away. Would recommend. Negatives: - No water in room on arrival. It wouldn't hurt the hotel to provide a bottle of water in the room free of charge, especially for late arrivals when the market near the hotel was closed. - Definitely need some non-smoking areas in the outside dining and pool areas. Every time we sat down outside, someone would then proceed to smoke. We came for clean air and at times felt we were in a passive smoking area. Not very pleasant for non-smokers. We paid a small amount extra for dinner but if we stayed again we would just book Bed & Breakfast as there were so many bars and restaurants close by serving good food. We ended up only eating dinner in the restaurant a few times.

Location is quite nice, close to the sea, great pools, lots of greenery etc but I feel this place has a lot to learn to compete with international standard, especially when it comes to service. Many of the people working here are utterly unprofessional and lots of young people without real experience in service sector. First day they refused to give us towels by the pool !!?? And we got told off in a very rude way for bringing drinks to our sun beds even though we asked the pool bar staff if it was ok. People are also reserving sun beds first thing in the morning, then leave for breakfast and whatnot. There are barely any sunbeds available! Pool bar is under staffed so you have to wait in line and people do not always respect waiting in line. Some staff were amazing on the other hand, the older ones with experience, like Marinko at the breakast buffé. Not sure if I will visit again. The area and surroundings kind of makes up for it but Parentium really really needs to step up in terms of quality of service.

A lovely hotel in a lovely setting. We were on the 4th floor, the room was clean and really comfortable beds with a balcony. There wasn't much of a view as such as we overlooked the gardens and the trees covered a lot of the view but saying that, we didn't spend that much time in the room. The hotel has two outdoor pools with lots of sun loungers, also an indoor pool. Saunas and gym were good and again kept very clean. A short walk to a rocky beach, so beach shoes a must but again everything was laid out extremely well and was a lovely place to just chill and swim, with plenty of shade if needed. I would like to say that every member of staff we met were friendly and very helpful. We did arrive quite early and they managed to sort a room very quickly for us. The restaurant had everything you could really ask for food wise, well done to all the staff there who must all work extremely hard. We decided to catch the little tourist train into Porec, just for fun and would recommend if you didn't fancy walking there. My partner and i would definitely stay here again

We stayed at this hotel during the world championship taekwondo in Porec. The entrance is spacious as are the rooms. The elevators were a bit small for a hotel of this size. Unfortunately the restaurants closed early which left us with no food when returning from the tournament. It is possible to take out a lunch instead. The rooms are fine and clean. The shower was a bit difficult to get at the right temperature but it worked in the end. the room had a small balcony with a view to the sea. Breakfast was good. The old city center is about 5km away. there is a foot path to the city which makes for a nice walk

We stayed at Hotel Parentium in Poreč (Zelena Laguna) and unfortunately, the experience was below expectations. The food at the restaurant was mediocre, lacking variety and freshness. The biggest disappointment was the room, which was supposed to be a “suite” – in reality, it meant sleeping on an old, uncomfortable sofa bed that creaked and was not suitable for a proper rest. On top of that, the whole room smelled of mold, which was very unpleasant. During the night, we were woken up twice by guests shouting outside the hotel, and no staff seemed to do anything about it. For a hotel that presents itself as a luxury option, we expected much better accommodation and service. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend this hotel and definitely wouldn’t come back.
