Hotel Park Plaza Arena

The hotel is top in Pula for a reason. It’s amazing. From the welcome of the staff at reception, the wonderfully clean and spacious rooms, the enormous (if a little cold) salt water pool with lots of sunbeds available (although some people still felt the need to put their towels down all day 🙄) The breakfast is the standout.. everything is on offer and super fresh and well prepared. And I mean everything you could want, meats, cheeses, pastries, cereal, various milks, yoghurts, fruit, bread, juices, eggs made to order.. it was very hard to find any fault with this hotel. The only minor it is a little outside of Pula.. a 5 minute Uber is around €8/10 but there is a bus 5 mins walk from hotel entrance. The drinks are also pricier than in Pula itself but it’s a hotel so expected. I cannot recommend this place enough and cannot understand how it is only 3 star!

Delightful hotel and very clean. Officially 3 stars but more like a 4 star hotel. Never had issues anytime of day getting a sunbed for the pool. The location is a bit ‘out there’ but this only added to its charm. We went half board and eat out a few times namely Bochetto and Bambo. The former being a few minutes walk ad. The latter a 25 minute stroll. The beach is very close by with a great chilled out area under the pines in the hotel ground with hammocks and double padded sunbeds. Hotel is extremely clean and well maintained . As a family of 3 we had a suite and our son effectively had his own room and bathroom facilities and when chilling in his own space could log onto Netflix. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and the evening buffet was above the 3 star official hotel rating. Special mention for excellent service from Viktoria in reception organising a taxi to Pula port and breakfast bag for our long day trip to Venice. Additionally special mention to Tamara in the day time lunch restaurant for excellent and welcoming service and also a tall gentleman I think was called Deja - always polite, friendly and helpful when serving in the main restaurant. I do hope the hotel acknowledges this and offers praise to these lovely people

Unexpected stay due to our flight being cancelled and three bus loads of passengers sent to the park plaza. Hotel staff (only two of them as post midnight) were superb getting people booked in with minus fuss. Room was clean, functional although the two single beds were a little on the small side. Nice shower and added bonus of free toiletries. Breakfast in the morning was very good with lots of choice and all very hot. Didn’t have much time at the hotel but surrounding looked very nice with costal paths and secluded areas to swim. The one downside would be be the distance from town centre (4km) but for quite relaxed area it looked good. A huge thank you to the young man on reception with a beard (so sorry didn’t get your name). Brought smiles and the best possible level of service to a difficult situation to all.

This was our first time to Croatia and the park plaza Arena was just a great hotel Very clean Excellent food Excellent facilities Excellent service What more do you want - if your going to Pula this is a great hotel to stay at Definitely not 3 star it’s a 4 star as TUI suggest The other lovely hotel is the 5 star Brioni nearby but why pay a lot more when the arena park plaza has it all Thank you to all the staff for making our holiday a great experience

We just got back from a lovely long weekend here for the first time and will definitely be visiting again! Tamara was brilliant, the lady who arrived us at reception was brilliant too! ( I can’t remember her name though sorry) all staff were friendly, perfect english communication as we couldn’t speak Croatian ! Beautiful views and lots of walks nearby to bars along coast. Large car park for car and less than 30 minutes to the airport! Hotel was immaculately clean and food was tasty as well. Will come again next year
