Hotel Park Plaza Arena

We had a comfortable stay at the Park Plaza Verudela, which was in a great location, just a short walk from the restaurants and shops at Park Plaza Verudela. The swimming pool was excellent, and we always managed to find a sunbed, even when it was busy. The only downside for our son was that the pool was saltwater, much to his disgust! The bedrooms were quite small but well equipped, with a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. We stayed half board and found the breakfast to be excellent, with plenty of choice and everything well stocked. The evening meals were good, although there wasn’t much choice for children. We had to ask the restaurant manager each evening if our son could have pasta with sauce, which they prepared without any complaints. We noticed other children looking over and asking their parents where he had got his pasta from, so I would suggest that the hotel consider offering a few more child-friendly options on the menu. The sea was about 100 yards away, down some steps to a rocky beach. It was quite crowded, but great for having a swim, and there was a lifeguard on duty. There were also buses running from just down the road into Pula centre, costing only a couple of euros each way, which made it really easy and affordable to get into town. Overall, we had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The location, pool and sea views were definite highlights, and we would happily consider staying here again.

A really great experience from the moment I arrived. I arrived late but had booked half board, I had inform d hotel of the time was to arrive. After a simple checkin with Zoran I was picked up after by Sanja and taken to the dinning room, now closed and they had prepared a cold plate selection of food they had prepared for me with a lovely bowl of fruits. I bought a glass of wine and some water to have with it. The hotel safe were all impeccable and very professional. The hotel is modern and in top condition. I spent time in pool and sea ares so easy to access from the hotel. There is a local shopping street called Verudella Avenue within 15-20mins walk away. There you’ll find a coffee shop, supermarket, swimming equipment and swimwear etc. The hotel is a complex of 3 hotels. It mid August and not over crowded. This my s second visit to Croatia this summer I took a visit to Cavetat July, Croatia is a very safe location to take a holiday. The ancient Roman town of Pula is close by bus I took an uber €12 took 7 mins from hotel. I got drop by the Temple of Augustus in the Forum Location. The Arena amphitheatre was 10 mins walk from there. Everything is close to visit. The restaurant and the bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I sorely my experience here 20 out of 10.

I cannot begin to say how wonderful this hotel is. The staff are fantastic, especially the bar and restaurant staff. Food is incredible and you have such a choice for breakfast and dinner. The hotel is spotlessly clean and domestic staff work so hard every day to keep it looking great. Pool is good, very clean too but you may struggle to get a sun bed as people seem to leave their towel then disappear. The hotel is right next to some beautiful beaches which have crystal clear waters. The area is very safe, and easy to walk to get the bus into Pula. Will definitely be coming back here. It's excellent!

We stayed at this hotel for a week and were very satisfied with our experience. The food was excellent, with a wide variety of options available every day. Dinner, in particular, offered a great selection of different dishes, so there was always something new to try. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was lovely and comfortable. The only small downside was that it wasn’t perfectly clean when we arrived—we noticed that one of the chairs was a little dirty. Apart from that, everything was great. The nearby beach is absolutely beautiful. It is quite popular, so it can get crowded, but if you stay near the rocks under the trees, it’s peaceful and a wonderful place to relax. Within just a few minutes’ walk, you can also reach several other beautiful beaches, making the location ideal for exploring the coastline.

Just back from a week at Park Plaza Arena Pula and it completely exceeded expectations. It's officially rated three star, but honestly it feels four star in every way. The location is stunning – right on the Verudela peninsula, with easy and affordable access into Pula old town by bus or taxi, and the beach just a few minutes' walk away. The pool area is fabulous, plenty of sunbeds and options for us fair skinned sorts, also comfy sofas too, and a great bar – the sarti spritz is recommended! There are also gorgeously comfy loungers and hammocks tucked away in a beautiful pine-shaded area, which was our favourite spot to relax. There’s great WiFi across the hotel and grounds plus brilliant aircon all through the hotel, much needed in the gorgeous Croatian weather. Food was another highlight – fresh, delicious, and plenty of variety, with a well-stocked bar and some really great local wines. Housekeeping was excellent too, and I loved that they used the Espa range in the bathroom, a really nice touch. Above all, though, it was the people who made it so special. Every single person we came across had a genuinely warm, positive, can-do attitude and was keen to help. Special thanks to Petar, Tamara and Viktoria on the front desk – all brilliant, always smiling, excellent English, and they went out of their way to help us with a few extra requests during our stay. The restaurant team were superb as well – a special mention to Dejan (apologies if I haven't spelled that quite right), and an extra special one for Zivko, who was an absolute delight, always attentive with a bright smile, and great to chat with. I'm quite fussy about hotels and wouldn't normally book a three star, but this is genuinely a step above – highly recommend. I would totally go back, and I rarely say that!
