Maistra Select Funtana All Inclusive Resort

We have been here for over 2 weeks now and we love it here. We are also lucky with the weather and enjoy the sun, the pool, the service and the holiday every day. The staff is very friendly and service-oriented. It is nice that the pool opens at 9 am and that you are not allowed to put down towels before that, the staff really pays attention to that, great! It is a nice all-inclusive hotel, not only in terms of food but also the facilities such as beds and umbrellas by the pool and beds on the beach as well as pedal boats and mini golf. The staff in the bar by the pool and in the restaurant are also friendly and very attentive. The food is good, with special praise for the breakfast buffet. We were surprised on arrival with an upgrade for the room, with a large and good bed and a fantastic view.

We visited as a family of five in Aug 2023 for a week. Initial impressions were great, a bag meal on arrival having missed dinner due to our flight. Day one, woke up early, lovely view from our apartment and great weather, food was ok and lots of choices for breakfast. We ate at the pool bar first day which was nice to snack on. The hotel also provides Pizza at 5pm. The three teenagers enjoyed the water sports provided, however I was a little concerned not life jackets were provided. A duo played a nice set in the evening for entertainment. The next three days we had terrible weather, this made us start to look us look at the facilities in the hotel. Although refurbished, the rooms are small, three persons in deluxe room consists of a small camp bed was not ideal. Rooms were cleaned daily, however we were left without loo roll on two days. The lighting in the corridor is not safe, having activated after you walked down the stairs from the second floor. The most shocking thing is the smell from the communal toilets, which clearly haven’t been cleaned in weeks, also walking passed the gents my wife could see men doing a number one which was unpleasant. Massive lack of evening entertainment during the rest of the week, mediocre food, lack of atmosphere and a struggle to find anything to do. The pool table is awful and needs replacing, did not work. Mini club staff were sat on their phones paying no intention to anything. The all inclusive beer an d wine is poor quality and only local top shelf is served after 9pm. The lack of being able to pay for premium drinks on card was also disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Croatia unless you want to go to bed at 9pm

We had good time there,room was renovated,clean, beach was a minute from our room and very clean sea. Altough the food was sometimes worse than average, pasta always overcooked, meat dry, soft drinks like coke, juices had so “artificial”? taste, coke tasted like coke candy too sweet also the other soft drinks were disgusting. I must admit breakfast was good, but lunch and dinner not much, even tough we had paid all inclusive, we often visited restaurants in Vrsar to get normal good food we wanted on holiday. But the staff was sweet, helpful, nice people especially the waiter Stanko from Fresh Corner. If the food was better I would like to go there next year, but if they won’t do something with the food I won’t come back.

We had a Fabulous holiday. The rooms were clean and we had a great view from our balcony. The pool area was spotless with plenty of sunbeds. The food was varied and there was always a good choice. My favourite was the lunch at the pool bar with fresh salads and meat etc Pizza freshly cooked at about 4pm was also very popular. The only negatives was spirits not served until 9pm, not much in the way of evening entertainment and the cola was not great 😕. The area is stunning with picturesque views and lovely coastal walks or bike routes. The boat trips we took were amazing, the sunset Dolphin trip and the Rovinj trips are a must. We would definitely recommend for a relaxing peaceful holiday 😊

The rooms are renovated and beautiful. The employees are friendly and very helpful. The food is good, but it is almost always cold, which is a big drawback of an otherwise good complex. It might be a good idea to consider installing some more lamps by the stairs and in the parking lot.
