Park Plaza Belvedere

Let me start by saying this is the most chilled hotel/country I’ve been too. It’s fantastic and I we really enjoyed our stay! The staff are friendly, the food for people with no allergies etc is fantastic (I will come to this again) The cleaners and bar staff do an amazing job, the one who stood out the most was a lady called Nina, she was so polite and chatty. Finding a sunbed was easy the first week but 2nd week it was busier and unfortunately guests get greedy and reserve them in the shade and sun so they can keep swapping but this is not the hotels fault. This hotel is beautifully situated too Now for the negatives, we had booked a room that said either French balcony or balcony, we unfortunately got the French so asked to upgrade as we like to sit out and they wanted £840 but online it was £7 a night. Also there is a gluten free section and I couldn’t understand why I was so poorly for 4 days to then find out the gluten free section also houses vegan and sugar free so I’d been having sugar free cereal ( I’m coeliac so this really impacted our first 4 days.) The evening food wasn’t labelled so I lived on plain rice and salad for 2 weeks. I’d asked for some bread to be toasted in the gluten free toaster what was behind chef but he just kept pointing to other toaster. The first week there was one gluten free cake but then nothing for the 2nd week at all. It’s the first time I’ve lost weight on holiday! The other negative is there’s nothing to do at night at all. It said occasional evening entertainment but in the 2 weeks there was nothing. I loved this hotel and Croatia but I don’t pay over £3000 for my 20th wedding anniversary to be not able to eat for 2 weeks .

Absolute piss take no balcony, had to pay 450 euro extra for balcony avoid, they just rip you off. Never not had a balcony before!!

This hotel has everything you need for a holiday. We had b&b and there was everything you needed. There was one big problem, we noticed that local people were using the pool. From young children(with parents not visible) who were loud, disruptive and rude. Then teenagers with the same attitude. What was more concerning was around 8 big men acting no different than the kids. This was brought to the attention to reception staff, but nothing was done. My concern with this was the safety for guests and taking the enjoyment out of our holiday with worrying who was coming in the next day. On this basis I would not book this hotel again or recommend it to anyone. It's sad because, but for the above concerns it was a great hotel.

This is our fourth visit to this hotel and we have noticed a decline in the appearance of the rooms reception areas.

Hotel on arrival looked great, lovely welcome from staff and received a Small upgraded to a slightly larger room with balcony. Room was very simple, could do with a little colour. large bed with very hard uncomfortable mattress. There was no water in the pool and no sun loungers out. Breakfast wasn’t too bad, tea, coffee, juice etc. Cooked breakfast wasn’t too bad cold so ended up eating cereal most mornings, not much luck with the toaster either which took ages to toast bread (control knob was broken) Evening meals were again cold, however the salad was fantastic. What we thought was going to be a quiet and relaxing holiday was spoilt by a hoard of child around 200 who turned out to be stopping for a youth football tournament the Dalmatinko cup, held every year. Incidental our TUI rep didn’t mention this. For the whole week we had to put up with noisy, rude and arrogant kids, who pushed in at meal times, grabbed as much food as possible and ran around nearly knocking you over. This was our first time in Croatia and we liked it very much, even though the weather was not on our side. However, sadly we will not be stopping at this hotel again.
