Park Plaza Belvedere

We recently spent a week at this lovely hotel as a base for our Leger coach tour of the Istrian Peninsular, our pre arranged hotel in Porec being closed for renovation The hotel was a great alternative, being in a fantastic location right on the beach, the facilities were excellent, the bedrooms were of good quality, the choice of food was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful In fact we couldnt fault the hotel in any way.I most enjoyable stay there

What can we say, its 100% not a TUI platinum and we wouldnt even give it a Silver rating. Main issue was staff miserable, food same old every no theme nights as advertised and being vegan/vegetarian the choices were shocking! Had soup most nights. Grounds need attention, decking boards broken jagged etc. Complaint lodged with TUI hotel tbf tried to rectify the food but it was too little too late however it proves they can put on a good vegetarian meal if they wanted too!! If you like meat and fish and broken decking this is your place. Rooms ok, air con set at 21deg couldn't change it, and one night it broke. Security is also an issue (hotel accepted it) people off the beach just roaming in and using the pools Lots of kids, so if kids not your bag, avoid

The food was excellent. It was very clean. The staff were helpful and friendly without being overbearing. Gym and pools were good although gym could have done with air conditioning and the pools were salt water which was a bit stingy for the eyes. Would have been good to have more water coolers available around as well. Games room for the kids was lovely as was the spa areas

What a location and the service was superb we were looked after ! Loved it

Let me start by saying this is the most chilled hotel/country I’ve been too. It’s fantastic and I we really enjoyed our stay! The staff are friendly, the food for people with no allergies etc is fantastic (I will come to this again) The cleaners and bar staff do an amazing job, the one who stood out the most was a lady called Nina, she was so polite and chatty. Finding a sunbed was easy the first week but 2nd week it was busier and unfortunately guests get greedy and reserve them in the shade and sun so they can keep swapping but this is not the hotels fault. This hotel is beautifully situated too Now for the negatives, we had booked a room that said either French balcony or balcony, we unfortunately got the French so asked to upgrade as we like to sit out and they wanted £840 but online it was £7 a night. Also there is a gluten free section and I couldn’t understand why I was so poorly for 4 days to then find out the gluten free section also houses vegan and sugar free so I’d been having sugar free cereal ( I’m coeliac so this really impacted our first 4 days.) The evening food wasn’t labelled so I lived on plain rice and salad for 2 weeks. I’d asked for some bread to be toasted in the gluten free toaster what was behind chef but he just kept pointing to other toaster. The first week there was one gluten free cake but then nothing for the 2nd week at all. It’s the first time I’ve lost weight on holiday! The other negative is there’s nothing to do at night at all. It said occasional evening entertainment but in the 2 weeks there was nothing. I loved this hotel and Croatia but I don’t pay over £3000 for my 20th wedding anniversary to be not able to eat for 2 weeks .
