Park Plaza Histria Pula & Marina Wing

It is the little things that make all the difference. I am a long term Radisson Rewards Member, and one of the claimed benefits is a late check out. I was offered 11.00am as a late check out free of charge. Having stayed 10 nights in their most expensive room I was charged €50 for a 2pm check out. Not surprisingly those last moments before leaving ruined the entire experience. The experience up to that point met 4 star expectations; just.

Located in a Park Plaza complex with our hotel near to the sea. Ideal for walking around the shore line, The atmosphere in the entrance was delightful. We had a high floor room with sea views with a good size balcony once again excellent, As I am a coeliac the choices available to me was the best I have had in any hotel, Thank you. This is one place I would highly recommend but noy if you have mobility issues.

Firstly it's a lovely clean hotel and the room service is sublime, sheets changed daily and towels and very spacious for today's standards. Sadly, the food was awful, and a previous guest was so accurate, ie "We both enjoy eating fish and seafood, especially abroad when it's so hot, however, we didn't see ANY seafood, shellfish, smoked salmon or salmon but heaps of TUNA FISH (ie cat food)! Desserts terrible, no cheese. Breakfasts the fruit was superb to be fair but the warm food was almost cold and below par every night. Shocking food overall. Replenishing dishes also very slow. Extremely disappointed with the food, not 4 star quality, 2 at best. The oriental staff are hardworking, delightful, always smiling as are the locals. We had a multi centre hotel booking, 3 nights in beautiful Pula, 4 nights in Rovinj, gorgeous hotel on the Island Istria, again appalling food!!! TUI you need to do more.

We had a lovely stay here. We used it as a base for 4 night during a bit of a road trip. The rooms were spacious and modern, we also had a nicely sized balcony. Breakfast had a great range and there are many choices for lunch and dinner for pretty much anything you fancy. I would happily stay again, we stayed as a couple but I'd say it's great for groups and families too.

I am not glad to write this review because I don't have many positive impressions about staying in this hotel. To begin with, the shutters on the balconies and the facade need urgent renovation, the hotel looks like it has 2 stars from the outside. House keeping service is very bad. They didn't bring clean towels, they didn't remove used glasses and mugs, and in the afternoon, all the days of our stay, a lady opened the door herself and entered the room to ask if we needed anything. Not the way to ask those things. And the worst thing are cockroaches. They are everywhere around the hotel (everywhere in Pula as well), just take a walk after dark from the nearby Konzum towards the reception and you will see many coming out of the water shafts. It's all a hotel complex and the hotel should take care of it! One was lying dead yesterday on the stairs leading to the spa! The hotel really does not deserve even 2 stars. I would like to praise the staff in the restaurant, and I mean the foreign, very friendly workers.
