Definately best resort in Croatia. Everything is New and modern with luxurisu vibe. With such a big number of restauranats and swimming pools, you can easily spends days there without leaving resort. Atmosphere and food at V level restaurant is really amazing. But thing that specially stands up is extremely friendly and professional staff. We will come back for sure…

Many positives, but some negatives took away from the 5-star experience We had a lovely stay at Pical Resort, with some excellent facilities and genuinely helpful staff. However, there were a number of things that disappointed us and, for us, stopped it from feeling like a true 5-star all-inclusive experience. The negatives The biggest disappointment was the all-inclusive offering. Although the resort is advertised as all-inclusive, this primarily applies to the main buffet restaurant. The drinks selection was very basic, with wine and beer being the only alcoholic options available. The drinks were also self-service, meaning you were constantly going back and forth between your table, the buffet and the drinks stations. Having stayed at many all-inclusive resorts previously, this was unusual and not something we particularly enjoyed. The breakfast selection was also quite limited compared with what we would expect from a 5-star resort. There were only around three pastry options, with no choices such as French toast, Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine or bagels. The fruit selection was limited, and on some occasions the grapes and apples appeared unwashed. We also noticed flies around the fruit at times, which understandably put us off eating it. There was no real selection of berries either. The cereal selection was similarly limited, with no Weetabix, Rice Krispies or comparable alternatives. There was a coffee machine, but surprisingly no options such as hot chocolate or mocha. Lunch and dinner offered a reasonable selection, but the desserts became repetitive quite quickly, with the same options appearing regularly and a fairly limited choice of ice cream flavours. There are other restaurants within the resort, but these are not included in the all-inclusive package. Guests can choose two restaurants to visit during their stay, but these need to be booked in advance and, from what we saw, the menus were not hugely different from the main restaurant. For us, food is a major part of choosing an all-inclusive holiday, so this was probably the biggest factor that stopped the stay from meeting our expectations. Privacy and security Another concern for us was the lack of privacy and security around some areas of the resort. There did not appear to be security or controlled access at some of the exits, which meant that locals and people staying at other hotels could access parts of the hotel strip and use some of the facilities. With young children, this did make us feel uncomfortable and unsafe at times, particularly as the resort is marketed as a premium, family-friendly destination. On one occasion, we noticed a local lady with her baby using the play area in the main part of the hotel. While there was nothing inherently wrong with this, it highlighted to us that the facilities did not feel particularly exclusive to resort guests. We had expected a greater sense of security and exclusivity, especially when paying for a 5-star resort experience. Knowing that hotel guests were not necessarily the only people accessing certain areas and facilities took away from that feeling somewhat. The positives: The pool areas were excellent. They were clean and well maintained, with plenty of sunbeds available. Having both indoor and outdoor pools was great, particularly for families, and towels were provided, which was very convenient. The children's entertainment was also very good, particularly for children under eight. There were plenty of activities and play areas, which kept our toddler entertained. Some of the play areas could perhaps have benefited from a clean and tidy-up during the day, as they became messy at times, but overall they were a great addition. A special mention has to go to Selena from the concierge team, who was incredible. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met and was a real highlight of our stay. Our room was consistently clean and tidy, with items replaced promptly when needed. An iron and ironing board were available on request, and gowns and slippers were also provided. There is a lot to like about Pical Resort, particularly the facilities, pools, children's entertainment, housekeeping and some of the staff. However, we felt that the food, drinks, all-inclusive offering and lack of controlled access in some areas fell short of what we would expect from a 5-star resort. The resort has clearly invested heavily in its facilities, and there are many aspects we really enjoyed. However, when paying for a premium all-inclusive family holiday, we also expect a good variety of food and drinks, a sense of exclusivity and, most importantly, to feel secure while our young children are using the facilities. If the quality and variety of the food and drinks were improved and access to the resort's facilities was better controlled, we would have no hesitation in returning. As it stands, though, these shortcomings would make us think twice about choosing the resort again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Pical! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredible, and the overall hospitality truly exceeded our expectations. There is so much to enjoy throughout the resort - multiple pools, a beautiful spa, several different beach areas, and a nice 20-minute leisurely walk to Poreč Old Town (taxi train also available). The entire resort is exceptionally clean, and there is truly everything you could possibly need. And if there’s something you don’t have, just ask! The staff will go out of their way to make it happen. Their attention to detail and genuine willingness to help really made our stay special. The resort itself is stunning and incredibly aesthetically pleasing. From the beautiful decor and bathrooms to the rooftop and pool areas, every detail feels thoughtfully designed and maintained. More Restaurant offers an impressive selection for both breakfast and dinner, with plenty of variety to choose from. The food was consistently delicious, and I loved that there were always different options to try. My favorite section was definitely the seafood - the selection of fish was delicious! All of the staff members were wonderful, but I especially want to give a shoutout to those who consistently went above and beyond and made us feel so welcomed: Cvijeta, Nebojša, and Dragana at Mozaik Lobby Bar Ajla, Marta, Dinno, Leonard, Haris, Minela, Berina, Denis, Miloš, and Jeffrey at More Restaurant Every single one of them greeted us with a smile, was always ready to help, and even remembered our names throughout our stay. That level of genuine hospitality made such a difference and is something we will remember. I would absolutely recommend Pical to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and unforgettable stay in Poreč. We truly loved our time here and can’t wait to come back! -Curovac Family
