Pical Resort, Valamar Collection

Everything was perfect. We had a great family weekend at this beatiful resort. Hotel staff was very helpfull. We made an online check in which was quick and effective. It lead us to have more time for enjoying everything this resort offers - neat bedrooms with beatifull view (we booked a room with seaside view) , great room service, outside heathed pools with great beach bar, childrens playgrounds... Whole area was perfectly clean and tidy. Food in hotel restaurant was always fresh and tastefull. The whole experience at Pical Family Hotel was great and I would highly recommend it.

One of the best hotels on the Istrian Peninsula. It is situated in a lush, green area not far from the town of Poreč. A beautiful, top-notch beach is just a two-minute walk away, featuring separate zones for children and adults—the latter offering the chance to relax on large mattresses in the shade of pine trees. The management and staff are incredibly welcoming, and any request is fulfilled immediately. I have traveled extensively and stayed at hotels like the Ritz-Carlton and Kempinski, yet the service here is truly exceptional. The rooms are equipped with modern amenities and designer fixtures. Best of all, almost every room boasts a stunning sea view, and a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout. I would like to give special thanks to the restaurant staff; the menu features new dishes daily, all prepared to a superb culinary standard. I am also grateful to the staff for upgrading us to a superior room—both in terms of price and size. The only downside- We left having gained a couple of kilos. We will definitely be returning to this hotel many times.

Fabulous experience. Extremely warm team who look after you really well. Ways smiling and very prompt to help. Beautiful mindfully designed hotel with such thoughtful touchpoints.Like, for example, a packed beach bag placed in the room for the convenience of the guest. A lot of sustainable elements too. Enjoyed the walks by the private beach. And also beyond the property till the local town. It was very safe, and the local community is also friendly.

A wonderful, pleasant hotel with a sea view and the most beautiful sunset in Europe, surrounded by forest and greenery, featuring the best spa treatments and a promenade leading to the town of Poreč—and, most importantly, friendly staff who attend to their guests' needs and wishes.

This is well designed hotel with one of the most impressive spas that I have ever seen, including at least 4 saunas with different concepts, a couple of steam rooms, cold showers and “ice buckets”, IR beds, etc… But, here are a few things to note: If you are opting for a sea view room (which is worth it), avoid getting anything below the 6th floor** I do not like connecting door rooms due to noise issues, but this seems to be a standard for all or most of the rooms in the main building. There is a modern lighting system and also “intelligent” AC but it seems to do whatever it wants; on the middle of the night it will shut off the circulation fan and it is not easy to get it back on. They put a lot of effort into the design but the bathroom mirror lighting is deficient, as is the shower door. Here is something that was odd: The front desk arranged for a taxi to take me to the Poreç bus station, which is about 2 kilometers away (3min) and it cost me 20 euros. My colleague asked the concierge for the same thing at the same time, and they took her in a Mercedes, for FREE… she admitted to me that she did not understand this disparity. Everything else is quite good: the mattress and bedding, the ample closet space, the safe, the minibar, the sound proof room door and the fixtures… the Illy coffee machine.
