Pical Resort, Valamar Collection

Great place for the family - rooms are nice, clean, the resort feels safe and there are lots of activities to keep the kids busy. The grounds are nice to walk around and you can easily walk to the old town, which is nice to visit. There are elements where service can improve. Some staff are very pleasant; some can come across as a little grumpy.

First impressions of the pical suites was wow, it is a stunning looking building, everything is new and spotlessly clean. Our room was just off of reception and initially I was concerned it would be noisy but we couldn’t hear a thing. The rooms are spacious and thank heavens haven’t gone down the route of putting the bathroom in the bedroom or just having a clear window between the bedroom and bathroom which ends up lit up like the Blackpool illuminations if you need the toilet in the night! The air conditioning worked well and the bed was so comfy with a pillow menu. The staff were all very friendly especially the lovely lady who greeted us most mornings and evenings at the restaurant. All the waiting staff were efficient and friendly but we loved Goran, such a nice guy. The food was excellent, my only complaint would be the coffee in the morning was never properly hot and the cups too small. We did the dine around a few nights which made for a pleasant change. The Olivia grill was a nice lunchtime option but a couple of times we walked down the road to a beach bar. The pool area is great, loads of sunbeds and never a problem getting a sunlounger, my husband preferred the Beach and the infinity pool, so much choice of where to sunbathe or sit in the shade. It’s certainly not cheap and we had booked when there was an opening offer on, would love to return with our daughters and families, just need to win the lottery!

We stayed for one week, mid September in the Pical Suites - V level, sea view room for 4, Half Board. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. At the moment everything is very new as it only opened in June 2026. Pros Good location - walkable to Porec town along a beach path - not all paved but possible in trainers - not sure I would walk it at night due to lighting and terrain. Walkable to a couple of bars looking out to sea - lovely spot to watch the sunset and much cheaper for drinks. All areas very clean and well maintained. Luxury soaps, shampoos etc all provided. Lots of pools to suit all, choice of locations for sunbathing, beach, pool, wooded area, paved beach. V Level has dedicated car parking space for your stay. V Level - provides a fabulous service package valet parking, turndown service, inclusive snack and drinks in the afternoon, separate hotel building, restaurant and pool area (you can access all other areas of the complex too.) Free access & free sunbeds on the beach/wooded areas. Dine around option. Staff service was off the scale. Very relaxed vibe. Cons V level dining room (Parenza) poor for evening meal - part menu /part buffet. We only ate in there on our first night. We used the Dine Around option for 3 evening meals - we booked via the V level dedicated Concierge before we went but at the time of travelling we probably could have still got a reservation when we arrived but would recommend booking ahead if travelling in peak times. And then we ate in the 'More' buffet restaurant on the other 3 nights - the usual hotel buffet arrangement. V level is not Adults Only - We seemed to be surrounded by families with pre-school age kids and everything that comes with that - babies crying on balconies, noise from the kids pool in the v level pool area, kids behaving badly in the restaurant. They need to make V Level Adults Only. On the same resort there is the Hotel and Family hotel - also 5* with amazing facilities for kids/families of all ages. This would be the one thing that would prevent us from staying there again. Foco by Bekal was poor on the Dine Around We saw a rat by the V Level pool area - this was attended to by the pool assistants V Slow service in the roof top bar

Well, it's a week since we returned from an amazing holiday at the Pical Suites. From the time we arrived to be met by the lovely Roko who took our bags to our room, (the first person we met and the last as we left), to the lovely welcome from Sebastian and Jelena who gave us all of the information needed for our stay. I make no apology for mentioning the names of everyone who made our stay memorable. From Petra, Ivan and Nikola in the Lobby bar, to the amazing waiting team, Josip, Sanje, Zoran, O’ruse, Robert, Mariana, Alexandro and others whose names I sadly can't remember. Of course, Lydia who greeted us with a smile every night and the lovely Alyssia who brought the cooking of the steak to another level. To Sandro who was always so welcoming and to Martina who took time to have a chat with us. I can't praise Nana and Moya who took care of our room enough, along with Ma and Emily who left us a lovely note the night before we came home. Every single person at the Pical Suites without exception made our stay so wonderful that we really can't wait to come back. The room was beautiful and the balcony sea view was perfect. The food on the menu each night was always excellent and the additional fayre on the buffet was quite stupendous. We have been to the Valamar Isabella in Porec many times and we just love it. The people there are also always so welcoming and kind. It was our first stay at the Pical Suites but it most definitely won't be our last. We really mean it when we say a massive thank you to you all. The accomodation and facilities are fantastic but it's the people who truly make a stay memorable. We were very sad to leave, but we very much look forward to seeing you all again soon. I na kraju, svima vam puno hvala na prekrasnom odmoru 🙏

Our stay at Hotel Pical in Poreč was excellent. The hotel is modern and well equipped, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Our room was clean, spacious, and well equipped, with a beautiful view. We especially appreciated that the outdoor pools were heated to a comfortable temperature for swimming, even in mid-September. Every member of staff was exceptionally friendly and ready to help. A special thank you to the hotel management for accommodating our special requests. We would gladly stay here again!
