We had a great holiday here and overall would definitely rate it as a 5-star experience, but there are a few negatives worth mentioning. As many other reviews have pointed out, the all-inclusive concept isn't quite what you would expect, particularly when it comes to the drinks. The selection is very limited, and even the soft drinks weren't very nice. Luckily, we don't drink alcohol, so we stuck to water for most of the holiday. We did buy a can of Pepsi from the pool bar one day, but at €6 a can, it felt very expensive. So I would not recommend choosing AI if you're doing it to save money on drinks. If you're staying in the family hotel, it's worth knowing that there's a soft play area built into the middle of the corridors, spanning two levels. If your room is next to it, it will be extremely noisy. Thankfully, I requested a quiet room before we arrived, and we were given one at the end of the corridor, which made a huge difference given we were further away. One of the best parts of the all-inclusive package is the Dine Around concept. We visited Isabella Island to eat at another hotel within the same hotel group, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel arranged a taxi to the boat, followed by a short five-minute boat ride to the island. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and when we were ready to return, we simply called the hotel using the number they provided and they arranged our pick-up. The whole trip was very well organised and completely free as part of the all-inclusive package. We were really impressed. The Grill restaurant itself isn't much to look at, but don't let that put you off—the food was excellent and it's definitely worth a visit. Poreč Old Town is only around a 20-minute walk from the hotel. If you don't fancy walking, a little train runs along the beachfront approximately every 30 minutes and is a great alternative. Just make sure you have cash, as they don't accept card payments. The Old Town is beautiful, with plenty of bars, restaurants and little shops. One of the things we loved most was that it hasn't become overly commercialised and still has an authentic, untouched feel. The food throughout the hotel was excellent, with plenty of variety every day, and the fruit room was our favourite. The only slight disappointment was the snack options, which were quite limited, so we generally avoided them. We'd also highly recommend hiring bikes and exploring the area. We spent around three hours cycling and had a fantastic time. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, which was a lovely touch. Another feature we really appreciated was the kitchenette on each floor, which includes a water machine, ice machine, washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave. The hotel even provides the washing tablets, so I was able to do a few loads of washing before we travelled home. It's thoughtful touches like these that really make a difference. I genuinely feel this hotel has thought of everything when it comes to travelling with a family. Overall, despite a few areas that could be improved, we had a wonderful holiday and would happily return. But I would probably opt for the main hotel or the suits, purely because it's so noisy with the soft play sitting outside the bedrooms.
Wow! Loved Pical Suites so much we will book again next year! Kids loved it, adults loved it, so much to do, huge selection of pools, activities for adults and kids, Dine Around is excellent, we loved Spinnaker. But the buffets are super also. The quality of service from the rooms to reception to restaurants is of the highest standard. Location is great, Porec is a lovely town and ways to reach, and the sunsets by the hotel are amazing. And as for the rooftop bar, loved it! Highly recommend!!
Once we came here we were struck by the amazing architecture and just the overall vibe, before even getting our room we knew immediately we would absolutely be coming back. It's clear this resort was made to be functional and everyone's dream destination for vacation. The restaurant was absolutely phenomenal, the food was unbelievable and extremely delicious. The staff was amazing and extremely kind and friendly to everyone. We had this amazing waiter Borche on our first night and he made us enjoy the whole experience even more. He was extremely hard working, kind and friendly. We have been to many different resorts before but, we can confidently say that nothing beats Pical.
The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. The kids’ activities are diverse and offer something for every age group. The kids’ entertainers are incredibly kind, enthusiastic, and amazing at what they do. Our children absolutely loved them! We will definitely be coming back next year. Finally, a hotel that truly has everything you need for a perfect vacation, and it looks exactly like it does in the photos!
Top Quality and top service. The overall atmosphere is curated to the last detail and everything is clean most importantly. Special thanks to the many great servers that took care of us during our stay, mostly to Robert, Daniel, Dean and Restaurant Manager Kristina. See you soon
