Resort Belvedere

Well maintained quiet resort in beautiful location, close to fishing harbour, marina and pretty old town. Lovely coastal sea walk surrounding resort. Generous, clean and fresh accommodation with sea views and stunning sunsets. Rooms cleaned daily. Self service restaurant with range of breakfast and evening meal options. Limited vegetarian menu with many dishes mis-labelled. Busy restaurant and sometimes difficult to find a free dining table in the evenings. During our stay there was no evening entertainment and morning half hour activity sessions on alternate mornings for first week only. Surprised by limited bus service the timetable effective from September from Vrsar to Porec ran at 7.20, 14.40 and 15.33 with return from Porec to Vrsar at 6.30, 14.20 and 15.20 costing 4.10 euros one way. No buses from Vrsar to Rovinj or Pula. No bus service at weekends. Alternative methods of transport included boat trips, taxis, bike/car hire or walking. A great place to relax and unwind.

A gigantic hotel with 301 rooms. We had a room rather high up so we had to climb MANY stairs and a steep hill to get to and from our room. There was an escalator but it didn’t always work.. The room was spacious and had a gorgeous view. Small beach and pool area so we suspect it will be awfully crowded in the summer. We had many dinners at the hotel and were really annoyed by the noisy atmosphere and scraping of chairs. It can’t be that hard to install something to reduce the noise! Ok food though. Nice staff but we still don’t want to come back!

A lovely 8 nights spent at the Maistra Select Belvedere. Easy access to the marina and old town and a good location to explore Porec or Rovinj (by bus). It's a large hotel/complex but is spacious. The rooms are more than adequate. We had a good view of the sea from our window The pool is busy so we spent most day on the rocks by the beach and you can walk around the coast to a small island which is nice. The reception staff are helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant (half board) is excellent! Lots of choice. We had a lovely waiter Elvedin who was extremely hard working and polite. Our only criticisms are that at peak times at breakfast and dinner it was sometimes difficult to get a table. Also, they are really strict about not bringing your own drinks into the restaurant - and we ended up one night having an argument with a rude waitress who tried to take our bottled water away from us! The evening entertainment was good too. There was a 'fire dancer' who was very good and we had fun at the quiz night and some band nights. Would definitely recommend this hotel to families.

Lovely resort and very family friendly. The kids loved the splash pool and inflatable aqua park. The food was great and reasonably priced. Great choice of restaurants nearby and you must take a boat trip to look for dolphins. The staff were really helpful on reception. We had a great time and would love to come back.

Just arrived back from our 7 night break, from the moment you arrive you will be amazed how beautiful the coastline is, the pictures don't do it justice of how beautiful it is here, they have several cats here as well which was lovely to see and made my daughter really happy and perfect for us as we have two cats at home so my daughter always feels sad about leaving them behind when we go on holiday anywhere. We were really happy with our apartment which looked right onto the Sea we were in room 222. The animation team are so amazing, not only did they bring a cake to our room for our daughter's birthday they made a lovely balloon made into a flower, so much compliments to them. My daughter also attended the mermaid school which she really loved she's always wanted to do a mermaid swim with the tail, the girls are so lovely and you could see how much they care about the Children. I also have to mention the reception staff helping me with the cash machine to get Euros was so helpful and the other lady on reception I know I got quite overwhelmed with my medication at first but they both really cared which I'm grateful for and was so lovely in seeing them both great service, wish I could remember there names. Now onto the not so great points when you walk to the marina be careful as the waiters seem to only care about making money, I put my shirt down on a chair and when I went to look at the menu a waiter removed it and usherd seven other people to take our seats! I explained we were a family of four but they didn't seem to care about this! and only seemed they cared about the money as there was more people, they could of least asked first was it ok to remove my shirt from the chair!, this is the first restaurant you come to. The other restaurants along the marina seem ok but be careful as some won't take a card and only cash, a lot of places will only take cash including the kids shops and souvenir shops as well as the boats, the best price I found for the boat trips is Mikela the lady a blonde lady was really lovely and informative with the trips there is also a tourist info office at the marina to help. Take a walk up to the church stunning views, overall belvedere I a lovely hotel and very happy we chose this location 😀 so we did the dolphin tour and Ronjiv by night well worth doing, the dolphin 🐬 tour was good but don't expect to see them jumping in the air unless your very lucky like in florida or Mexico Xx.
